It's Wong. Wong bought the tower. And he used almost his entire life savings to do it, which is why he only had 200 rupees left at the beginning of Avengers: Infinity War.

This is the best marvel theory of all time. You should replace Feige as both the figure in the AT and the new head of marvel studios.

They HAVE to know how wanted this is at this point, literally any blank black head with white eyes is disproportionately expensive on bricklink (Avengers game series black panther, Mighty Micros magento, etc).

I assume we’re not going to get any minifigs from the new code red trailer. I would quite like that version of the Collector and the big Throg!

That Code Red trailer is really interesting. The start wasn't the strongest humor even for these lego specials, but the whole collection gimmick is pretty meta, and it's interesting that Wolverine is a major player.

The Hydra troopers are nice designs we'll unfortunately never get, and the collecter fig is the exact type of thing we'd have if we still got the DVD promos. But in terms of hints for new stuff, I don't think we're gonna see anything. The farthest along this seems to be is stuff from the january 2023 wave.


However, you're all clearly missing the biggest thing from the trailer: HERO FACTORY TROOPERS ARE PRESENT. HERO FACTORY IS BACK 2024 BABY! I am of course joking, if they brought hero factory back before giving Bionicle another shot I'd have to thanos snap lego HQ

And Red Guardian (not gonna get ahead of myself and say he will be in Thunderbolts sets, MCU sets this year have been rather incomplete with important characters)

 

 

Also, good news, after 4 years, we're finally getting a Spider Man bust/helmet in January, at the appropriate and reasonable price of $70

Red Guardian is in that Black Widow exclusive set, though.

I feel like they knew from the beginning of the Marvel Super Heroes theme, which is why they made it a coveted SDCC figure.

As for the head, I've been having the same problem for making my own purist version up till now. I've tried those heads you mentioned as possible replacements, but they each have some kind of problem holding them back from working as the perfect substitute. The Black Panther head would've been a great choice...if the eyes were a lot bigger, big white eyes is like one of the symbiote suit's defining physical characteristics. The Mighty Micros Magneto head was practically perfect, if not for the fact that the eyes aren't symmetrical and the giant glaring issue of the Magneto face print on the back of it.

However, I think I've found one solution that is easily the best one yet from lego.jimbo.909 on IG. He used the Anya Corazon Spider-Girl head from 2020 with the mouth printing erased, and it looks absolutely perfect. If the odds of getting a black suit Spider-Man currently weren't the highest they've ever been, I was feeling really tempted to go this route (I didn't though because I was worried about ruining the head by erasing too much of it).

A little bit more info on things:

  • 76285 is the long-awaited Spider-man bust, to finish your collection with Venom and Carnage, glad we are finally getting this as its long overdue
  • 76298 is based on the integrated suit from the final battle in NWH, I am curious how they will tackle this as accuracy would require the gold Spider extending onto the shoulder pads
  • Brickset has listed a handful of the 2024 sets, potentially confirmation of their identity

With this, we know the identity of every Marvel set stated for release from January to April 2024 so far. There's still one or two wild cards such as 76283 listed for 2024 OR 76222 and 76246 that have been listed for 2022 or 2023 and may eventually show up one day, along with the potential for additional sets to be released in addition to this list.

Last year the January sets were revealed on November 30th, so perhaps we'll be seeing some of these at the end of next month.

Lego Superhero original films and video games are always frustrating because it feels like they are teasing us with what could be. I still remember how excited I was seeing the 90's X-Men in the original game thinking it was a hint of sets to come. Didn't think it'd take over a decade later to actually get that :/

So far the Marvel mechs have been mostly comic inspired suits for the figures, so I wonder if this will reuse the 2020 comic/video game War Machine, or the current MCU design, or introduce a new print. Personally wish they gave us an Iron Patriot mech. If the rumored list for the jet and Mansion are true, Cyclops and Professor X are the only other 90's X-Men we are getting besides the 3 from the cmf? Once again I need one or both of those rumors to be wrong. Gambit, Jean, Jubilee and Morph can all be done without new moulds. The choice to use Storm, Wolverine and beast in nearly all the sets is just weird imo.

Also we get so many 4+, buidable figures and mechs each year. I understand that the busts and such have their audience but it feels frustrating when I see entire lists of rumored sets and very few are actually figure scaled play sets and even fewer introduce new characters. I just feel like I would probably throw in more comic based figure scaled sets with new characters into the mix. Take the 2023 Winter Wave for example. Morbius was the only new character in that wave! Yes we got new variants of Rocket, Hulk, Thanos, Loki etc, but Morbius was the only new character introduced. With the amount of content we get each year its kind of jarring how slowly they add new figures. And especially comic based designs.

Iron Patriot mark 2 would be great, but we won't get MCU in mechs. Maybe something similar though, also because the other mech is Venom and it seems strange to me, two mechs with such dark and similar colors...

we had two new Marvel 2024 entries and they are a buildable figure and a helmet, how sad :-P

drip is a slang term/synonym for stylish street clothes in America. He's commenting on the outfit the collector wears in the trailer. I have to imagine it doesn't translate well.

I really hope they use the 2020 War Machine, it might be my favorite design and I'd love for it to be in a $16 set, as overpriced as it is.

War Machine will definitely be a new version, However the 2020 one was attached to the lego marvel magazine twice, weren't you able to get it? I think the BL price is also very low

I wonder how many of the things people on here want (symbiote spider-man, more X-Men, fantastic four etc etc) are things LEGO wants to do but can't because Marvel has said no for some reason...

The lack of X-Men and F4 are definitely due to Fox having the film rights to them up until a few years ago. Symbiote Spidey is a bit of a mystery, however, as we get a lot of Spider-Man sets!

Not to mention how many Venomized things/characters we get. We just got a Venomized Baby Groot, but Venomized Spider-Man is still M.I.A.

Dune set was revealed. Haven’t read the books or watched the movie yet so excuse my ignorance with the names / descriptions but…

- The gold lady’s hood is good for Ancient One from the movie.

- The silver guy’s body and armor is good for Silvermane.

- The armored woman’s head with glowing eyes is good for Storm.

- Gunmetal armored figures might provide for a good Batman fig (wrong thread I know).

- Green guy’s torso and legs might be good for an MCU (adjacent?) Iron Fist.

- If Zendaya has an alternate head it may work for MJ.

Liet Kynes. She has an alternate expression with a mask, so you would need to use a long (non-Mohawk) hairpiece. I think that it would also work for Photon, though this head is a bit lighter than Monica’s unpowered heads (CMF and Hoopty).

They don't have magazines here in the US. The cheapest he is here is $9 for the version without any weapons on the back, which isn't as bad as I thought, but still a good bit more expensive than the magazine.

No; it is CMF Tiana's hair recoloured in dark brown.
