Realistically it's probably:

  1. Hawkeye (Hawkeye)
  2. Kate Bishop with Lucky (Hawkeye)
  3. Moon Knight (Moon Knight)
  4. Scarlet Scarab (Moon Knight)
  5. Ms.Marvel (Ms.Marvel)
  6. Red Dagger (Ms.Marvel)
  7. She-Hulk (She-Hulk)
  8. Titania (She-Hulk)
  9. Nick Fury (Secret Invasion)
  10. Veranke? (Secret Invasion)
  11. Loki (Loki S2)
  12. Mobius (Loki S2)

This splits things into 6 male characters, 6 female characters. I don't think the character selection appeals as widely as it could do given the mixed reception and low viewership of the Disney+ series - however this line-up is more in the range of the previous version. I think What If S2 and Iron Heart would get a set or two instead. Agatha would probably be saved for a CMF series 3. Honestly though I'd rather this series focus more on characters people have expressed a desire in getting such as Baron Zemo from TF&TWS, Ronin from Endgame, Ego from GotG2, etc... We have tons of legacy characters that deserve more focus as they have less chance of showing up in future.

No way the’re going to include what boils down to two minifigs in one box  Including two heads is the furthest they would go. I highly doubt we’d ever get extra torsos and/or legs in a CMF

That's what I thought but they have done it multiple times before. See my post above yours

That would be awesome.  It would certainly be fitting for the character.

Getting multiple torsos isn't unprecedented either. There were 3 figures with 2 torsos each in the ninjago cmf

https://brickset.com/sets/theme-collectable-minifigures/subtheme-The-LEGO-Ninjago-Movie

And this guy came with a  lego magazine

https://brickset.com/sets/111901-1/Garmadon

Fitting for the character is something I didn't consider but makes perfect sense!

Two torsos but different types of torsos in those series but doesn't mean they couldn't include two normal torsos instead.

Depends if they class an extra torso as an accessory. Except for possible new hood mould, theres nothing special/unique about Moon Knight/Mr Knight minifigures.

If only 1 pair of legs/head is included, why wouldn't they do it as it would drive sales of people trying to get two complete versions of each figure plus blind boxes make it harder driving even more sales.

I don't think they will do it but makes sense from a business POV to me.

Agree with this. Hopefully in 7 months we'll get information confirming this or comic based version instead of D+ version. A comic version could cover some of D+/Legacy characters like Moon Knight/Baron Zemo while giving us more unique figures or 12 Iron Man suits

That's a good list however I don't know if we'd see 2 per show. I expect

1. Kate Bishop with Lucky (Hawkeye

2. Moon Knight

3. Scarlet Scarab

4. Mrs Marvel

5. She-Hulk (with larger Avatar parts)

6. Daredevil

7. Nick Fury

8. Abigail Brand  (Emilia Clarke in Secret Invasion)

9. Loki

10. Mobius M. Mobius

11 & 12  2 What If characters

Having two stackable torsos to represent a four-armed character and including an extra torso intended for another character are hardly the same thing

It’s not impossible, but very unlikely. If they wanted to represent both Moon Knight and Mr Knight, they’d most likely just include both in the series as separate minifigs, sacrifing another character in the process, and be done with it

Well you said they would only go as far as 2 heads but I pointed out they have gone further before. And what better way would there be to represent a character with multiple personalities?

I agree it's unlikely, but would fit the character. Its fun to speculate though. Especially with 9 months still to wait.

How long before the first series released did we know the full list?

I also thought of a double torso, but for the Ronin costume with a hypothetical Hawkeye minifigure.  that would be nice since he was left out of the 2021 Endgame sets. But I don't think that's likely…

That Lego store line today was something else...

Managed to get most of the 2023 sets. Just wanted to reiterate how great of a wave this is. Best January Marvel wave in a long time

So when's the right time to buy the new Quinjet? I bought the Sanctum day 1 on double VIP and all the major retailers already had it discounted 20% off the next week.

I think I might wait for 30% off or an incredible GWP paired with double VIP... people probably have a lot less disposable income after the holidays.

Not confirmed, and Emilia Clarke has also been rumoured to be playing a Skrull character, so we really do not know who she will be at this point.

In February we have a confirmed Marvel GWP  (30652: (Polybag?, 44 pcs), we don't know what would qualify for that, but it could be $100/£100 or so - in which case waiting on the Quinjet would probably be advisable as it's a sizable chunk of that. We have no other Marvel set releases in February, so your probably best holding off purchasing the Marvel sets until we know what the polybag is and whether it's worth it.

In terms of discounts, most Lego sets now go through a 20% off on other retail sites. I think if you wanted to wait you could easily do so as I'd expect the set to end up going to around 35% off before the set retires and realistically you could wait as long as you desire because it's a new release and likely won't retire for at least a year.

I really thought the CMF series would give us X-Men characters to be honest.

I don't mind the CMF series leaving out the X-Men entirely. Getting sets for their new show would be much more preferable over just 1 or 2 minifigures.

Can you imagine getting a Sentinel, Blackbird and X-Mansion like these sets?

I really like this idea especially as a way to have a 13th character as people would try to get two of this.

I guess if this happened then it would be one pair of plain white legs, two torsos, two heads, hood (new design?) and a cape. Would there be any other accessories? Maybe a couple of lightsaber blades for weapons.

If they went this approach, then a second Moon Knight figure that no one seems to have mentioned is Konshu could be included

Konshu would be great. I'd actually prefer seeing him in the new CMF series over Scarlet Scarab. I'm definitely on board with the idea of doing Moon Knight and Mr. Knight as a single package.

Well, either make a CMF dedicated just to the X-men (very unlikely), or make some of those sets you mentioned as X-men-dedicated ones. That rather than feature two or three X-men in a CMF. Who will they feature if it were a CMF with only two or three slots? Wolverine, Cyclops and Storm again???

You say that, but we've been so starved for x-men content that I would welcome getting cyclops and storm.

Sure, but with the precious few spots we have in the CMF series, I’d rather they not waste them on characters we’ve had before

I really hope they don't do X-Mansion in that playset style. My ideal X-Mansion would be to have it split up and sold as 2-3 separate modulars - center of the house should be 32x32 with classroom and lounge on the main floor, rooms on the 2nd, and Cerebro room on the 3rd since you can't have a basement, and a bit of a backyard. Then the east and west wings could be ~16-20x32 respectively giving you a lot of space for green areas and outdoor facilities.

Being sold as 2-3 separate modulars would also guarantee that most of the key X-Men and villains would get representation in minifig.

Just seen that a keychain of the Iron Man figure from last year's mech set has been labeled under 'Infinity Saga'

Just because it's primarily gold, doesn't make it the Mark 42. Though I am very curious, someone figured out what the new Rocket figure was based on, anyone know about this suit?

I'm also surprised some people agreed with my Moon Knight idea, I know it's so unlikely to happen, but it would entice people to get a spare.

What I had in mind was the hood used for the Time Twins in Ninjago (https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=26079pb01&idColor=11#T=C&C=11), which would have a crescent printed on. The head print is Mr Knight, which paired with the hood would ofc just look like Moon Knight. Then two torsos to represent his suits, when it comes to legs Marc would require more printing than Steven would, he could just use plain whites. Of course when I realised two legs would be required, the idea became even less likely, but it seemed unlikely enough in the first place

I must agree with the points about Garmadon, in it's own little way they were a second torso. But just another point to add on, which was bubbling around my head (which I guess no longer matters if they're in little boxes now) if they could put giant centaur legs in a bag, they could put essentially two figures in one too

Oooh yes! I love that idea.

Didn't Lego release some Harry Potter sets which were semi-modular: separate sets/ dioramas that you could ultimately connect together. I really think it is time for Lego to apply this to a lot of themes, X-men and Marvel included.

The optimism in this forum is what keeps me here for news/reviews/etc... We're kidding ourselves if we think a Marvel CMF isn't going to include a bunch of What If figs, especially given the ones in the last set were super popular. What a dream it would be to have a 16-fig set of MCU D+ characters though!

Wait, how the heck do you measure the popularity of a CMF figure, where are you getting that they were popular? From what I saw, people didn't like the inclusion of Gamora (though that's a gray area considering her episode got delayed), and thought having Zombie Cap AND Captain Carter alongside Sam Cap was excessive. The only one I saw that people seemed to really like was the spidey.

The What If figs were the highlight for me. Gamora was incredible considering the Benatar didn't include her, not sure if the people who didn't like her inclusion really think things through.

The most useless figs of that batch easily goes to WandaVision. Monica Rambeau was the biggest waste of a slot, and white vision was only decent relative to the other figs in the series.

The what if figs were cool design wise but took up way too many spots and were essentially one-off characters with not that much use

Got to keep expectations realistic and in check though. The only reason X-Men sets are even a possibility for discussion at the moment is due to a cartoon series coming out later in the year. We'll be lucky to even get one set in the summer wave. A D2C would be pushing it and a single house split into three fully enclosed modular buildings? Never going to happen.

The format of the 2021 Hogwarts playsets would be a good fit. The Mansion itself filling the role of 76389 while the Danger Room, War Room and Infirmary/Lab get released separately like 76386, 76367 and 76395. But ultimately that would depend on how deep Lego is willing to go for the series assuming we even get any product at all.

At this point I'd be thankful for just a Blackbird and all eight members of the team. Anything beyond that is a bonus.

You could be right, but considering how long animation takes to make, It wouldn't surprise me if What If... S2 doesn't release this year.
