Man, that’s an odd selection of characters. No Thanos, Iron Man, Wolverine, Cyclops, or Magneto but Psylocke and Domino and Gamora make the cut? And Gamora, Antman, Hulk, Black Widow, and Taskmaster are all comic inspired while Captain America, Captain Marvel, Hawkeye, and Kate Bishop are all MCU.

Isn't that Wolverine with the eye patch? However you are right, probably the choice of skins did not have to meet the same requirements as the physical material..

Have you thought of any particular motivation?

Maybe. He has worn an eyepatch in the past. Can’t say I recognize the rest of the outfit though. But, even if that is Wolverine, it’s still a bizarre choice to go with that design over… well, just about any other costume. The fact we’re sitting here debating if it’s him or not just shows they could have picked a more iconic design.

I mean, it could mean they’re planning on making physical variants of those characters. And I would love for that to be the case. But if ten years of artwork and video game designs and those animated DC movies Lego used to release has taught us anything, it’s that artists will draw and design what they want to and just because we see a drawing or animation of a minifigure, that doesn’t mean we’ll be seeing that figure in physical form.

If they do add marvel figs into fortnite sets it will fall under the fortnite brand and therefore more budget for detailed figs.

or am i wrong here? Just like how the marvel cmf is not under the marvel theme but CMF.

The theme isn't what allows CMFs a bigger budget, it's that the profit on a $6 fig is MUCH higher than if it were even a $10 set stuffed with small pieces. IMO I think any Fortnite sets are going to be seriously subdued from what is available in the game- probably a bunch of cool new molds, but my guess would be a lot of missing leg prints.

I'm begging to see these designs for Ant Man, Daredevil, Captain Marvel, Cable, Gambit and Gamora make it to the physical realm. I'm on the side of realism, I wouldn't expect the arm/side leg printing to be there if these were ever made, but everything else looks fantastic to me

A majority of this is just due to those skins being in battle passes. AFAIK they haven't LEGO-ized many battle pass skins (if at all). Their is caveats though, Thanos isn't BP, but a lot of the superheroes aren't all MCU-inspired tbf.

Not a high hurdle to leap, if we’re being fair here.

I'm sure somewhere in the Friends theme, there's a hairpiece that would better fit Rogue, and might even be cheaper to print the white on if it's rubber rather than hard plastic

But yeah, obviously there's no limit to designing game characters so of course printing is superior and there's pieces perfectly catered to their specific characters, I'm just sore over the pigeon 💩 hairpiece

Do you have a link for the fortnite marvel lego ?

Exabricks on instagram has pictures of all the characters, if that’s what you’re looking for.

Some great hair designs i hope get made in future sets!

Green Goblin looks SOOOOO good, like holy crap, how is the Lego Fortnite design so much better than the current minifig?

They're not doing the old battle pass skins, from what I've heard.

That Wolverine is a different skin that they gave with Fortnite Crew a few years ago, the classic outfit was included in an older Battle Pass.

Comic accurate Gamora was the most exciting skin to see for me! Green Goblin also looked incredible I gotta say I'd love for these to be produced but I am skeptical. I don't want to get my hopes up because there is a plethora of designs from the Lego Marvel games and movies we never ended up getting. But yeah I agree it would be nice.

Finally saw the buildable Rocket and I think it looks ridiculous lol. They should have opted for a closed smile over the toothed look. Ravager Groot is not enticing enough to justify the purchase. I'm excited for the X-Jet reveal despite knowing it's probably going to be very underwhelming haha.

I maintain the only good green goblin fig is the one in the bridge battle set. I don't like that most of them use lime and dark purple, and I don't like the NWH fig, as I've said before.

While I would kill a man for a lego daredevil as good as the fortnite one (man, that's a sentence I thought I'd never say), I really don't think we'll see any of these. Somewhat cynically, they're just too detailed and clearly based off the fortnite designs. Had some of the figures been suspiciously lacking in printing, or if ones that didn't resemble their fortnite skins were present, I'd say we might be looking at something. But we aren't and as such I don't think we are.

Not to be that guy, but Silver Surfer is pretty lacking in detail, but we can probably rule him out until we get Fantastic Four sets. And, if we want to be technical, so are Ghost Rider, Captain America, Kate Bishop. Hawkeye, Nick Fury, and Captain America Sam Wilson, but they’re all based on physical minifigures.

Yeah, sorry, I forgot to add the asterisk of the non-hyperdetailed characters being based on existing figs.

Silver Surfer I think we can just chalk up to just not being the type of character that really can HAVE all that much detail in lego form unless you want to try and print, like, arm and leg muscles, which would be horrifying given the anatomy.

Those LEGO Fortnite designs are really great! Hope this increases our odds of physical minifigure versions of Phoenix, Gambit, Cable, Domino, Psylocke, and Silver Surfer.  Love the redesigns for MJ, Daredevil, Green Goblin, Gamora, and Taskmaster.  Can anyone work out who the female minifigure in black with red eyes and black hair next to Daredevil is?

Hate to be a party pooper, but I’d be shocked if we ever saw any of these designs in a set. It’s like when people thought designs from the TT games would show up in sets back in the day, except this is even less likely :snicker:

X-23

As much as I would love some of these minifigs to sneak into "real" Lego Fortnite sets (assuming they come... They have to come, right?), I do think the chances are going to be low. I think the most cross-themed standard retail set I can think of 70815, with The Lego Movie, Batman, Ninjago, and Adventurers... But three out of those four were in-house themes anyways.

r/Legoleak has an image of Rocket's Warbird. Doesnt look great from what you can see in the image

There's really not enough of the set shown to get anything out of it, though. Some fairly good looking rocket pods and what seems to be some pretty solid wedge shaping around a bubble cockpit.

My main takeaway from this is they think a set with Rocket and Ronan only will sell for $34.99 with a semi-obscure ship. I thought this set was like $20 or $25, and while I can't see enough of the ship to tell whether or not $35 is a fair price, I can say it's a bad decision overall for lego to put only two figs in a $35 set when neither of them are particularly desirable to kids (Rocket having JUST been in a $35 set, and Ronan being a one-off baddie from 2014 who isn't a big thing in any of the comics and shows up, like, once per cartoon in a green outfit)

We keep losing diopters with these small, blurry, clipped images, while Lego continues not to release the damn images… I mean, I love these leaks but when they give us a look at the sets well in advance! Having to settle for this 3 weeks before the sets release is shameful!

I don't know what to say about the Warbird, it's hard to understand... I hope whoever has the images will publish the rest soon...

(also because continuing to look at these Fortnite things is just frustrating)

Wow, I'm surprised how much I like the Warbird. It looks pretty sizable for $35, and I dig the big chunky guns. The colors are nice too, and accurate to boot. Still not sure I'll pick this up, but I hope the other sets are like this!

Hopefully we see the rest of them soon. Any idea on where the image came from? Maybe we can have another try with the instructions...
