I’m in two minds about a $200 NWH set. On one hand, it affords the size and budget to make a great display piece with plenty of mini figures and perhaps some cool play functions, but at the same time it also ends up pricing out a huge chunk of the target market.

But maybe there’ll be a second set with Sandman, Lizard, and perhaps another Spidey variant (I can see the inverted suit being reused again, it’s a pretty cool minifigure) to fill the gaps? This is all assuming that rumour is true to begin with, but it aligns with Promobricks’ hint of a potential second set.

Does “bs” mean bull***t?  sorry, I don't speak English and it's difficult to translate acronyms and abbreviations… so it's something negative.  no good :-/ the good news is that Promo is bundling the information, so a review is near!  I read about No Way Home on Instagram, I always thought a big statue was perfect for a set… the minifigure selection worries me though: no lizard and sandman?  Really??

It does.

I'm gonna be really disappointed if we don't get Lizard. Surprising we still don't have this character as a minifigure. Sandman would be nice, but whatever really, because we've gotten at least five variants of him.

I could see Sandman being left off the minifigure list if he's brickbuilt, but I would be seriously disappointed if Lizard is omitted, considering we haven't even gotten a comic version yet.  He wouldn't need any new molds either, considering he could easily use the Faun legs and the new tail from the T-Rex Costume Fan.

In terms of the 'old bs' I think perhaps gimmicks such as the jumper (which would probably be used for a NWH set) and/or the return of the buildable figures. In the olden times of 2012 we had Hulk and Captain America. Given we have Iron Man already, perhaps we'll get Captain America, Thor and Hulk as 76257, 76258 and 76259. Either way, hopefully we get something soon thats more concrete to discuss.

Honestly any hype I had for these sets is long gone. I'm kinda dragged that Promobricks mentioned it because it means another 3 pages of NWH speculation 😅

To be fair, we don't have much else to discuss at this point. We know roughly everything till May and the films releasing probably won't offer much to speculate on regarding figure selections, set designs, etc... At least with NWH we have the question of how they'll adapt the final battle :shrug_oh_well:

There's a rumour about a 200€ No Way Home set on Instagram, apparently coming from someone who attended the Nuremberg Toy Fair.

You know, after the recent events (the big leak, and random Instagram accounts suddenly giving us true information) there could be something to it

I feel the rumour is a lie honestly. I think we are getting a NWH set/sets, but I don't think it'd be as described.

The missing figures from that rumour are Sandman and Lizard. Sandman could be Brick-built and not mentioned, but considering the main moment from the trailers was the 1 (3) vs 3 of Spider-man Vs Electro, Sandman and Lizard and given the delay I don't think they'd skip Lizard and I can't picture him being the focus of a smaller set as you don't have many scenes of him to draw from.

If anything I think it'd be Spider-man (x3), Doctor Strange, Ned, MJ, Green Goblin, Electro, Lizard and a brick-built Sandman. That's 9 figures and one brick-built. Tobey VS Sandman, Andrew Vs Electro, Tom Vs Goblin, Doctor Strange just making portals and Ned/MJ running from Lizard.

A secondary set featuring Iron Spider and Ock, potentially with a variant of the Green Goblin but realistically they could sell a smaller set with just Iron Spider and Ock.

Yes on bs.
Absolutely agree on Sandman and Lizard…Sandman was one of my favorite villains.

For me it's good news, the best version of Sandman was already included in the Bugle. anything else would've been inferior and waste of the minifig/parts budget. Lizard had such a small presence in NWH that it was always unlikely.

I want an updated Green Goblin + Glider and there's a better chances of getting Electro now.

We have all the characters apart from lizard, somehow :-D but for me this speech doesn't stand, I want Sandman from No Way Home, not just any Sandman :-P anyway this rumor is probably fake, so it doesn't matter … if in the meantime some other survey doesn't leak, I'll wait for Promo updates to get updates

Oh, well, 200€. I don't have the space to display a statue of liberty, so I guess this is where the ride ends for me.

In any case, *if* I were to get it, I don't think not getting Sandman and the Lizard would be a dealbreaker.

They're barely on the movie, and can't say I'm a huge fan of Lizard's design.

I hope Doc Ock doesn't look too good or I'll have to end up getting the set, tho!

No Lizard? So Lego really just perfected the bigifg mold with 2021's Thanos and said "Ok. No more bigfig. If Marvel makes anyone else of that size just cut them from the sets."

Lizard shouldn't be a bog dog anyway, nwh lizard is not Hulk sized.

Also the bigfig mould is far from perfect, the separate head is a step in the right direction but it's still unlegolike, barely poseable and made of one huge unusable for much else body and legs part that is stuck squatting in an awkward pose with a ugly neck.

I feel like if lego where to do the Lizard, a bigfig might be too big. I rather see them do something like TMNT's Leatherhead. Either way, if he requires a new mold that might explain his absence from the list, maybe the mold wasn't ready to be shown yet at the toy fair.

Another possible explanation for him missing could be a second set. The only set I could realistically see him appear in would be a Happy's apartment building set, although more focused on what's happening outside rather than the dark stuff insider. So a FEAST truck with Lizard escaping function, a Daily Bugle van with JJJ, lego loves their vehicles after all. Might be our last chance for a mcu aunt may (as long as they don't include green goblin for obvious reasons.) And Happy could be included as well. But those are the only two scenarios I can think of that would explain Lizard's absence.

Either way the set sounds really nice (if true.) I expect something similar to apocalypse burg. And, although not accurate to the scene, I hope they are still somehow able to sneak in the green goblin's mask (not likely, but one can hope). I also wouldn't be surprised if sandman was included as a build rather than a figure. Which would be nice as we still don't have a buildable sandman yet. Honestly I don't really need another minifigure of him anyway, he looks exactly like in the comics and thus exactly like the minifigures we already have, they've done pretty much everything that was to be done with him as a figure. Well except maybe for a shirt that's not mid-transformation.

Remember guys, this is just a rumour from a random Instagram account. Although stu._d, a reliable leaker, has just reposted it.

I feel like this is just people latching onto the concept after Promobricks heavily implied at least one set was coming. They likely don't agree on the specific details but will repost anyway for the concept/potential of a final battle set.

Sandman I definitely expect would be included as a brick-built figure, e.g. something akin to 76037 where we get his hands or face built into the structure not a full brick-built Sandman figure. Sandman would probably be a way of including a gimmick/feature into the set, such as falling scaffolding or a sand hand.

Chances are for Lizard they'd probably tackle him with the long legs, arms and tail from the Avatar sets and just have a normal head ontop. This is probably the closest scale they can do and it'd just require some recoloring of the pieces - a big fig is extremely unlikely. Until we see Hulk again, I think they've taken a pause on big figs probably because of cost reasons.

Indeed. It may just be someone riding the wave of the recent leaks. No better time to post your fanfiction „leaks“ than right now

I’m not dismissing the rumour out of the gate though (learnt my lesson this week), but I‘ll wait for someone reputable to confirm it before I get really excited about it.

It would definitely make sense at least. Excluding Sandman and Lizard sounds like something they would do, and the battle on the Statue of Liberty is by far the most suitable scene to base a set on

Y'all, friendly reminder that none of the main leakers have posted about this particular rumor. While it certainly has the possibility to be true (as do any rumors - well almost), I wouldn't expect anything or set all hopes on it until more reliable people have discussed it.

The disappointing thing about no lizard or sandman is that they’re an integral part of that “three spidermans swinging together” scene.

Really hope this rumor is true. $200 NWH final battle set just sounds awesome

Lizard is pretty clearly close in size to Thanos (if not the same size.)

Well, while technically he has about the same height as characters like Thanos and Hulk, his proportions are completely different. The bigfigs are mostly muscle based, while Lizard is just tall. He has long, almost slender arms, opposed to the more buff arms of Thanos and Hulk. A bigfig could work for a comic version of Lizard, but I think it would look off for No Way Home lizard.

If sandman / lizard aren't in the $200 set, I could see LEGO doing 2-3 NWH sets all compiling into the liberty statue. Like electro and big sandman in a set, doc ock spidey and goblin on bridge and then final set has repeat goblin, lizard, DS and andrew / tobey

Promobricks makes a comment about NWH and a leak appears the next day? Its fake fellas.

Let's just appreciate that *something* is coming.

ok, it will be fake, but it is also the most logical option.  Promo talks about ONE set (the second is not sure, as someone has already said it could turn out to be the mosaic, or a brickheadz, in short, not necessarily a playset).  And as Promo says for Garfield, I don't think Lego waited a year and a half for a single $50 set with 4 minifigures.  Two playsets would be ok, but if they were 2 traditional playsets probably Promo would know for sure

I don't think they'd miss Lizard if they did a final battle set, he's like the main focus of that 3v3 fight. Sandman, Electro and Lizard.

Oh and they seem to be claiming it is 76262 which we've had details on prior.

Personally I cannot see a 3128 piece set featuring 9 figures (at least 5 unique figures) selling for $199.99, that seems really low considering how Lego has been with pricing lately.

For comparison, Sanctum was 2708 pieces with 9 figures (of which 8 are technically unique) for $249.99.

I feel like the leak is probably going to turn out to be fake. One large/expensive set seems like too strange of a choice for a movie with such a large young audience as most kids won’t ever get a $200 set.

Unlikely, but it’s be interesting if they released multiple sets that combined into the full Statue of Liberty. That way kids could build up to it or at least get some of the characters. The end result would be the upper torso like in Apocalypseburg, but smaller. Something like:

Tobey, Doc Ock, a brick built Sandman.

Andrew, Electro, and Lizard with the statue’s torch arm.

Tom, Green Goblin, MJ, Ned, and Strange with the torso and head of the statue.

He looks similarly proportioned to me.
