There's supposed to be a new Star Wars gimmick in the Summer, but those sets are only 15€. Surely those aren't buildable figures.

I'm afraid you might be right on that one. Wasn't Modok originally supposed to be on agents of shield as well? Because the mcu didnt really have plans for him or something, until they came back on that decision? It always sounded like he wasn't exactly main priority, more of an after thought if anything.

I think MODOK is definitely a one and done villain in the MCU, unfortunately. I think the biggest concern is whether we’ll get his comic-accurate design from Quantumania or go with something completely different in Kang Dynasty. I really want a minifigure looking like his design from Quantumania but we’ll see.

Not only for the updated helmet but also with her new costume looking much more comic accurate compared to the one in Phase 3. Now I'm hoping the CMF series won't be all Disney+ focused and she shows up somewhere in there.

Kang is gonna be the biggest MCU villain yet, so obviously he won't be quickly killed off.

PGBQW Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 I don't understand why Ant-man not getting minifigures deserves such a massive meltdown.

The first MCU Kang was in Loki, wasn't he? SPOILERS FOR QUANTAMANIA, maybe. Leaks can always be wrong Spoiler And it sounds like this Kang will too. The goal of Kang seems to be that you can just keep killing him and more and more powerful versions will attack. 1 minute ago, PGBQW said: I don't understand why Ant-man not getting minifigures deserves such a massive meltdown. I mean, it is kind of a massive miss to not include one of the most hyped-up villains ever in the only set for his debut film. Not to mention, as others have said, it'd be nice to have an accurate wasp. And it's been 3 years since the last (quantum suit) ant-man minifigure, and 4 since the last standard variant. It's not like black panther or iron man where they're in plenty of saga or comic sets at the same time.
CodFather1 Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 3 hours ago, PGBQW said: I don't understand why Ant-man not getting minifigures deserves such a massive meltdown. Because every MCU movie since Winter Soldier has gotten at least one minifgure set, as well as the fact that the villains of this film are heavily desired. it would be like if Doctor Doom was the antagonist of the Fantastic Four movie, but they only made a Thing BB Figure. It just sets a dangerous precedent for future MCU films, as that guarantee of at least one mini figure set no longer exists.

There's already 2 awesome sounding Mandalorian sets and a Jabba's Palace diorama that we know about and that's just May. We're guaranteed to get sets for Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew and there's a strong possibility for more Book of Boba Fett sets, Andor sets, Bad Batch season 2 sets, Jedi Survivor sets--- and that's not even touching the movies or the Clone Wars anniversary stuff. The point is, LEGO Marvel is dropping the ball despite having a plethora of content to base sets on. For some absurd reason they are averse to making sets based on the Disney+ shows unlike the Star Wars team who has been doing pretty darn well in that regard. Edited February 13, 2023 by ToaDraco
LegendaryArticuno Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 There wasn't enough pushback on buildable figures... and now we suffer.

Couldn't care less personally, but it feels like it might've the last chance of getting accurate variants of Ant-Man and The Wasp (fixed helmets and accurate Wasp's wings). Their suits are quite possibly the ugliest, most horrendous looking monstrosities ever put in a comicbook movie tho. Overdesign at its absolute worst. People are also excited about Kang, but we'll get him eventually.

Sure, but if Lego didn't care enough about making minifigures at all, what makes people think they'd be willing to make new moulds?
Legocentrico Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 We knew Kang's absence was a possibility, and in that case I assumed an update for Scott and Hope, plus the introduction of Cassie. Even without a villain minifigure. It certainly wouldn't be the first time that lego neglects the villain -_- but this treatment (if we really get this treatment) sucks. If you collect every single movie set, ever since, and one fine day lego discontinues the series, you're left with an annoying hole on your shelf. too annoying >_< Not to mention that, regardless of the films, these nonsense buildable have pissed off! Did we get attached to the theme thanks to the buildable helmets and figures? or the sets with minifigures? we are fans of lego and superheroes, we want superheroes, minifigures! lego, wake up! My impression is that minifigures have become a bonus, there are less and less of them! I apologize if I write too much these days, and I hardly say anything new, but I'm too angry about what's happening to the line :-(

squiz18 Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 The antman set has leaked. Actually looks pretty good
Huigberts Builds Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 Wait, that's not a nano antman?! That looks more like Wasp. If so I might be interested. The set actually doesn't look bad, I still prefer civil war's version of giant ant-man since it looks like an actual figure, but this is acceptable as well.
THELEGOBATMAN Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 Well, the build itself is pretty nice, but the set itself isn't really interesting at all. The body is well-built, the helmet looks a bit off, but it's better than I would've thought. Wasp is a nice inclusion.
AstroFalcon Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 Really cool, going in a battle scene on my modulars for sure. Nice to get little Wasp too.
Agent Kallus Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 Lego buildable figure Ant-Man walks into a bar. The bartender asks 'why the long face?
Legocentrico Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 lego reading the comments rubbing his hands: good good maximum result with minimum effort >:-) guys, this thing sucks! they are still making the buildable figures, dressing it up as a set for quantumania without giving us the minifigures from the movie is a bad joke :-D
