It's content for the sake of having content. Yeah, I doubt Quantumania gets a set later on, based on the reception it's getting. Kind of turned out fortuitously for lego that their quantumania set is only loosely based on the film and could work as any generic ant-man/avengers set, though clearly it's not like they predicted the movie would flop. 29 minutes ago, Agent Kallus said: Maybe DC got more of the superheroes budget this year Don't do that. Vindicare Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 The new Guardians sets look great. Well, two look great & one looks okay. I love that ship though. Seeing the trailer had me excited to see the team...was not disappointed. Sweet Mayhem’s gonna steal their ship real quick.

Given that it was just a blanket description of the set, further information could reveal that he is included, especially as I don’t think he’s been officially ruled out. I remember Luke’s X-Wing from 2021 was only rumored to have Luke and R2, and I don’t think we learned about Leia and Dodonna until pictures were leaked. I am not a leaker, so do not take this as any confirmation. Maybe I’m just being too hopeful, but we’ll have to see. I think in the case of the X-Wing they probably just couldn't see Leia and Dodonna since they weren't prominently featured on the box art. Lizard almost certainly would be if he were to be included, do I don't think he's going to show up in this one. I can't think of a good reason why Lego would make him hard to see on the box but not the other nine minifigures. Edited February 16, 2023 by Meadius Minor clarification
Legocentrico Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 there are more new molds in the BTS set than in the entire Marvel 2023 line :-D

Agent Kallus Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 Really with Drax and Rocket being in colours other than grey, it's like they're making them different just so it's different, so they can sell new a new version. Grey is Definitely the right choice for both of them, ( dark grey for Rocket, medium grey for Drax)
AndrewCole14 Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 A new report suggests that Marvel are looking to only release Secret Invasion and Loki season 2 this year and delaying their other shows to allow for a less crowded release schedule and to give them more time in post production (VFX artists will hopefully see some benefit from this) if the report is accurate how do you see this impacting the CMF series release? Is it too late for LEGO to make changes to the minifigure choices if they do include characters from these delayed projects. Funko just had a leak of a pop from What if…? Season 2 so companies are at least developing products for that.

Hard to say what they were even trying to do, because they were so behind with the slate — Hawkeye, Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, and She-Hulk have all already premiered. Add Secret Invasion and Loki, and it already feels like too much to cover in a (presumably) twelve-minifigure series. It'd have been weird to add even more there. But, you know. We never know with LEGO

It's funny to think those will be off the shelves by the time the episode actually releases. They could potentially delay the cmf series, but I don't think that's really necessary.
Anthony11 Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 (edited) Hello everyone, first message unfortunately on a rather disturbing subject. Did you notice the difference between the descriptions of Leia's and Star Lord's helmets? I'm afraid the Star Lord helmet doesn't have a paper manual and it annoys me off if it does. Killian Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 We'd better get Cosmo, High Evolutionary, Kang, Lylla and Kraglin in the CMF series. Though it's feeling like Lego are giving up on putting effort into Marvel like they did with DC. Lego Dreamzzz needs to be amazing. Monkie Kid can't be the only good property from Lego forever.
Agent Kallus Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 Eh, I don't think we need worry, digital version implies a non digital version

Season 2 so companies are at least developing products for that. Ironheart was formerly planned for Fall, so I was never confident she or anyone in her series would be in the CMF. A Captain Carter pop did leak recently, but there was another leak a few months ago that suggested pops would drop last month. Back in December, Disney+ released a promo to celebrate the new year and only included clips from Secret Invasion and Loki, so I imagine it was early enough for Lego to switch up their roster to exclude What If characters (unless there's some from Season 1) to accommodate the delays. We first got figure leaks as early as April for the first series, so if they're still in the designing process, Secret Invasion and Loki are the only 2023 projects I would anticipate. Monkey's paw, man. You say this, and next year we just straight up won't get standard system marvel sets like we did with DC last year. Look, the GOTG wave is a little rough, but it's nothing terrible (Honestly I think the main issue is that $35 set. If they'd just made a smaller build or something and thrown Cosmo and the High Evolutionary in there, I think people would be generally satisfied with the wave. My guess for the lack of High Evolutionary is that he's not gonna be a beat-em-up villain, but we didn't get any of his men either, so I guess we'll see.
PRbrickbuilder Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 Shouldn't the Bowie be Sand Green instead of Teal? Odd color choice from LEGO. 9 minutes ago, Mandalorianknight said: Look, the GOTG wave is a little rough, but it's nothing terrible (Honestly I think the main issue is that $35 set. Honestly, if the wave released a year or two ago, I'd say we'd see these additions: $10 set: Cosmo mold added. $35 set: High Evolutionary and Lylla using the otter mold from friends $99 set: Groot and/or High evolutionary added as a repeat.

Exactly the point I made earlier. The value here seems awful, $35 for the Rocket set with barely 1 minifig? A huge spaceship set with basically 4 repeat figures? (Apart from the heads, which, 2 are bald even, hairpiece expense spared). If you really look at the wave face value, you'll notice that they've done only 4 new face prints, 3 new torso prints, and 3 new leg prints for this wave... everything else is re-use, not even a new mold. On your second: If that's what takes for us to get good DC sets it's a sacrifice I'm willing to accept
