I dont really think this is a spoiler, but ill delete it if its a problem

I would love a big ucs knowhere set, would be a great way to finally get a retail collector and howard the duck, as well as some of the new inhabitants we missed this wave like cosmo and kraglin (this isnt a spoiler for vol 3 as this has been known since the holiday special)

have some other more spoiler-y ideas for sets but ill wait on those until we can discuss

Lowkey it could be cool as a slightly larger helmet ~$100, but I personally would rather LEGO focus on other UCS projects. Not only would we get a very small interior compared to the size of the head, but what all would go inside? You could only do so much. Without having seen Vol 3, you have the bar and vats from GOTG 1 with the Ronans ships, and then Guardians HQ from Holiday Special / Vol3, but none of those are really memorable in the grand scheme of things

Was there a list of the minifigures and mini builds in the upcoming 2023 Marvel Advent Calendar? I was scrolling through the history on this thread and didn’t see one.

Captain America, Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Wong, Nakia, Black Widow & Spider Man (last two leaked a while ago, and are both Christmas sweaters)

idk if this is what you meant by vats, but the collectors place could have alot of potential with interesting things in his collection. there are a few new little areas in vol 3 too. i could see it sort of like a ninjago city set with the head being more of a facade type thing

I forgot about the collector's room. I meant the vats of yellow liquid Drax goes in

Just back from seeing the movie. That Rocket/baby rocket set was just crying out to include the high evolutionary! Real missed opportunity!

Full disclosure - I bought the Rocket set straight after the movie as I’m weak and need Lego to have more of my money haha!

Honestly, i wouldn't expect a town in a UCS Knowhere, most likely the big celestial head with a small room inside the eye like in Lego Marvel Superheroes 2.

Meanwhile I won't be buying that set for the very reason you state above, it needed more for me than just 2 Rockets, it should've included Lylla and H-E like everyone said since before the films release

I don't want to discuss anything to do with how the sets reflect the film, out of respect for the people who haven't seen it, even if the singular thing I'm thinking of isn't to do with the story and isn't at all a spoiler

But to be as vague as possible, I'm sure everyone else who has or will see the film will hopefully understand what I'm referring to

I saw GOTG 3 last night. I really loved it, it was up there with the best MCU films for me, definitely the best since Endgame.

The 3 Lego sets we've had are ok, but could be better. Definitely missing the high evolutionary, Kraglin, Cosmo and Gamora. The Bowie size is a bit off too.

I'm optimistic that there will be more guardians sets in the future. The first 2 guardians films have had other sets released in the years afterwards. Plus there are fewer MCU films coming out in the next 18 months (from what I can gather) so there may be the opportunity for Lego to go back and do some more guardians sets.

Maybe they could go back and do some from the first 2 guardians movies. They did that with the iron 1 and 2 sets and the guardians movie are much better than iron man.

Gotta be honest, didn’t like Vol. 3 that much. The ending was great, and I liked the serious emotional stuff just not the movie surrounding it. Still think that the first guardians movie is the best. That being said, this film is still better than pretty much all of the recent marvel content though that doesn’t say much.

Regarding the sets… wow. As @THELEGOBATMAN said, they dropped the ball. But I will say that I do like the way the bowie set looks, even though it’s wildly inaccurate.

Having seen the movie, I feel like they did a good job with the three builds themselves, it‘s more the minifig selection that‘s quite a letdown. Omitting Gamora, Kraglin, Cosmo, and the High Evolutionary was not a good move :hmpf: They all could‘ve been realised with existing pieces

Marvel movies been mid for some reason lately, but this one's been the best in a minute yeah, I agree.

Don't think they did though. We only had 3 sets per film released the same year. Doubt Vol 3 will be any different, Ego was left out the Vol 2 sets, Gamora and H-E were left out this time, it's frustrating, but sadly something we'll just have to deal with

Rocket set without High Evolutionary is a huge miss. He is not a spoiler at all.

I've never understood what Lego designers think, I just LOL so hard every time when they make a set missing some key characters.

They know their customers are willing to pay more for a set with better character choices, but they just don't care.

I was mostly basing that on the brickset listings. The new star Lord helmet is under gotg1 and baby groot is gotg2.

We've then also had things like the advent calendar, benetar and the venomised groot that makes me think lego sees gotg as popular enough for more sets.

Like I said, it's optimistic but a possibility.

I simply think that Lego or any toy company refused to make High Evolutionary because he was an absolutely evil and disgusting individual in the movie…

How would they know? I think it's far more likely that HE didn't get toys because there were too many toys to make already for the first wave, like the Guardians and their variants, and then Adam was the "villain" and two would be overkill.

Penso semplicemente che Lego o qualsiasi azienda di giocattoli si sia rifiutata di fare High Evolutionary perché era un individuo assolutamente malvagio e disgustoso nel film...

they did nazis and genocides… i dont think its a lego decision, they did what marvel told them to do…

- Emperor Palpatine initiated Order 66 (a almost-total erasure of an entire religious order), cleansed the Geonosian world of all life (not the only instance of this either), and blew up the planet of Alderaan.

- Lord Vader kills his own officers for incompetence / bad luck / insert reason here. He also tried to kill his own son and mentally tortured his daughter.

- Lord Voldemort murdered people liberally, had his magic snake impersonate a dead woman, tried to kill baby Harry, tortured Neville's parents into insanity, etc.

- Thanos turned half the Universe's lifeforms to ash just because he wanted to impress Death. He also killed his adopted daughter, Gamora.

- Daleks exterminate everything non-Dalek... even other Daleks considered 'impure'!

- Cybermen convert people into more Cybermen against their will.

- Nazis and communist Russians from Indiana Jones. Both countries killed mountains of people in the thirties and forties for Germany, and for Russia, 1918 until the mid-'50's. (or still to this day, depending on your viewpoint)

- Cruella De Vil wanted to make dog-skin coats from PUPPIES for no reason other than 'because high fashion'.

...I think they just didn't make High Evolutionary because they didn't want to. Everyone above beats him by a country mile in evil department, and all the above have LEGO figures already.
