I feel that this is an unfair inclusion as it was released in the midsts of the pandemic and months before the film came out.

Neither

Then what is it?

Non so dire se quell'immagine trapelata dovrebbe essere il set o la scatola in cui arriva.

the big box on the right should be the cave, on the left it looks like three smaller boxes, maybe the batmobile or the batwing… above the circle, it looks like the logo but it could also be the batwing.. maybe it's a display with all the summer wave . or is it a big joke

But who are "the other" leakers you keep talking about?

Not leakers I’m talking about, just other people who I work with who have seen the same thing but never reported it public

I thought the top of the pic was from the batwing but just realised it’s probably the bat symbol view into the cave 😂

You're right :-O I don't know why, but I was imagining a smaller "hole", in this case it would be huge

Everyone assumes Ezra is the reason for rebranding the Batmobile, yet no one ever thinks that perhaps DCEU sets just aren't that marketable?

Shazam and Black Adam were both skipped over entirely. The last DCEU set we did get was Wonder Woman 84 which sold terribly. Prior to that was Aquaman, Justice League and Batman vs Superman which were also pretty big shelf warmers. At this point I'd be very surprised if we get anything for the Lost Kingdom, especially with a reboot to the entire DC universe right around the corner.

What has been doing fairly well for Lego's DC theme are the recent legacy Batman sets. The 60s Batmobile, Dark Knight Tumblers and Batman 89 sets have had more consumer appeal than any of the DCEU sets regardless of how old those films are. Its something we see all the time in Star Wars with Original Trilogy merchandise constantly outselling the modern Disney Era. Since the new Batcave and Batwing will both be based directly on the older Batman films, it makes sense why they would want the Batmobile to also fall under that same umbrella rather than separated under different branding.

Perhaps because the set was known as “Flash Chase” and was branded with DCEU stuff long after it was apparent that the DCEU is some of the hottest garbage known to man. I don’t think anyone woke up at LEGO HQ last year and was like “you know what, it seems that the DCEU is actually bad and we should change that Batmobile”

Also, despite the others selling poorly, LEGO knows this would have sold well regardless of the branding because it’s Keaton.

Batcave included some kind of ad for the Batmobile to combine it with the cave, but used original set number, not the newer set number, so that has to be changed at least

@Lego126Does that mean the Batcave would not actually include a Batmobile, just a platform or something where you can put one from another set? There has been some discussion regarding this point before, but no definite result, I think. For that price, frankly I'd expect a set to be complete without the need for the customer to buy others as well. But one just has to look at the EUR 500 Hulkbuster to see that LEGO think differently.

It's pretty obvious that the batmobile is just a seperate set,

I was being facetious, sorry. Hard to say exactly, but at the top you've got the current DC logo and the D2C Batwing. Below that and behind the text there's two lines of boxes, neither of which are distinguishable because of the big confidential label.

Massively overpriced. I generally am pretty lenient on those, but that's almost as much as Rivendell. With that said, as a huge fan of 90s Batman, I love it. If I can find it cheap, I might get it, although I'd like to see the other figures before committing or anything.

I’m underwhelmed. It just looks like a big gray box with scaffolding inside. If you took out the Batmobile and batsymbol and told me this was a Deathstar hanger I would believe you. There’s a lot of potential with a Batcave. But you need to make a build that feels cavelike; enclosed and with rocky texturing on the walls. IMO, a cave shouldn’t feel this open. A cave shouldn’t have smooth walls. This just doesn’t feel like a cave to me.

I don’t really get the appeal of this one. Not really a display set and way too expensive to buy for (most) kids. I guess the Death Star was more but that set had a lot more going on.

To avoid the complaints with the Hulkbuster that you had to buy an add on fifty buck set for your five hundred buck exclusive.

I like that the set captures the creepy gothic vibes of the Burton Batman series, but it seems very overpriced...
