We haven't seen that happen in a superhero set since 2021, and just looking at this year alone, Lego has cut back on their superhero minifigures quite a bit. Just my too cents but that's way too pessimistic, 3 figures is the minimum I expect for a set that size, and they'd have to new as the expected figures would be out of print or completely new. Though might not stay exclusive, it wouldn't be strictly accurate but I could see the 1989 set reusing the batman from this set.
FoggyFate Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 Hmm, not really fair marvel gets all the good leaks. I should probably fix that.

Possibility 2: Maybe the “Bat” from TDKR? But probably not. Possibility 3: A massive Batcave, probably comic based. Unless it’s Keaton based and you can set the vehicles from the play sets inside. You didn’t disappoint @FoggyFate! Thanks for the hype. Do you have any info regarding the upcoming summer wave? We’re still short on details regarding fig selection and whatnot.

No way it's another Keatonmobile already. My money's on Arkham or the Batcave.
doclord Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 I'm guessing it's a Burton Batcave for the sets, but it may be a "Movie Batcave" with multiple batmen and their villains. I'm guessing Kilmer and Clooney may get figures.

wesker Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 If its a Batmobile I could see it being the 60's version. Its the most recognizable of the ones they haven't made a D2C for yet. Alternatively one based on the animated series would be good as well, especially if they plan to go ahead with releasing the Gotham Skyline set based on the same show next year. But it definitely seems way to soon to revisit Keaton's again. A new Arkham Asylum would be awesome. We haven't had one since the Lego Batman Movie came out so its definitely due for another appearance. The Burton Batcave is another good option assuming 76266 is already based on it. The timing for one is appropriate with it appearing in the Flash movie and two 1989 Bat vehicles coming in the near future.

Legocentrico Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 Arkham or Batcave, with a irregular base similar to Rivendell, with lots of details and minifigures <3 too cool so Lego will never do it. It will probably be a vehicle as always
upliftingbricks Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 Comparing piece count and price to the Marvel set, the DC one is more expensive price to piece (not greatest metric but all we have for now) so could that mean theres bigger pieces/more new moulds/more figures to bump the price up or Marvel just getting a better deal

RichardGoring Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 Gosh. Part of me hopes that at least one of these (Marvel/DC) is a terrible dud, so I don't have to consider $1000 on two sets, plus another $500 for Rivendell. But most of me hope that they're amazing. Is another vehicle really feasible? The piece count is 'only' 500 more than the 1998 Batmobile, but 1500 more than the Batwing and 1800 more than the Tumbler. And it's double the price of all three. It doesn't feel like they'd need that much extra budget to make a bat vehicle. Whereas I can see them making a location using that many pieces and warranting the price tag. Price per piece suggests a larger number of decent sized pieces, which might point towards something structural, like a batcave.

Either this is the year that I win the lottery, the year that I sell my kidney, or the year with the biggest differential between sets I want and sets I get. Rivendell, NWH, potentially two massive superhero D2Cs, Yavin IV, one of my favorite clone legions potentially becoming available for Army-building, etc.
NovaBricks Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 Remake of Keatonmobile seems silly. The last one was perfect anyways. The only vehicle left is '66, but I'm very skeptical it could sell at that price point. Even if we add $50 to the price of the Keatonmobile to account for inflation, that would be $150 more. That's very large. '66 is also beloved but a bit niche for something that price. But hey, this is also the company that gave us the Black Panther bust and absurd Hulkbuster. So maybe? I still think the Manor/Batcave is a very challenging build for anything sub-$750. There's just so much open air that the footprint is very large. It's possible but at the listed piece count I'm not sure how good it would be. And also why would all the villains be at the Batcave? Arkham makes so much more sense.
