Maybe a hat, like she has in BtAS?

That one's presumably already coming in the Gotham City set.

Target now has the Batman 1992 polybag is stock. They are keeping them in the backrooms and must be requested. I went to 5 different locations searching for other Christmas items but discovered each one has a full case. I don't need one, just thought you all may want to ask your local toy aisle employee to get one. They also had others they brought out to show me and I only picked 1 copy up since I felt bad.

This insider's weekend, Australians are getting $120 off the batcave set, and I was wondering if you get a vpn and set it to Australia would you be able to get the $120 off if you live in the US? I'm not exactly sure how lego.com applies their regional deals, but if this was possible it would be an easy buy.

No. As far as I remember, they base regional deals off shipping address, so you'd have to have someone ship the batcave to you from australia, which basically removes your discount. (also, $120 AUD off is less than $80 USD off, which is still a solid deal, but again, international shipping from australia for a set that big is gonna be about that much anyway.)

It's very sad to see no more information about upcoming DC sets next year, this forum is dead compared to marvel

Unfortunately even with the sets we're getting there's just not much to talk about. Its nice we're finally getting some BTAS content but at the end of the day its still just another Batmobile and a D2C that's giving us the bare minimum of characters. And I think its safe to say most of us here don't have much interest in buildable figures and 4+ sets.

At this point I'm more interested in what 2025 holds and whether The Batman 2 and Superman Legacy can breath some life back into this dying theme.

Assuming we even gets sets for Superman: Legacy. Which, hopefully we will.

I’m all in on us finally getting a Daily Planet *crosses fingers for a modular*

That would be awesome. Marvel is running out of buildings they can do and DC is well overdue for a turn.

You gotta take into account the popularity of the brands. Right now, DC is still the underdog of the two, and even with marvel getting hit with some pretty negative reviews, they're still a juggarnaut when it comes to spider-man and the avengers. We've got the X-mansion this year, but I wouldn't be surprised if we got Oscorp, the Avengers Mansion, and maybe even the Baxter Building before a Daily Planet.

An Arkham or Batcave, on the other hand, could be nice.

The Avengers Mansion seems unlikely to happen anytime soon. The X-Men are already providing a mansion and the Avengers already have a home base with the tower. Its redundant to release one while both those sets are still on shelves. Even once they retire I'd assume Wayne Manor and the Avengers Compound would be a higher priority for the modular treatment over the Avengers Mansion.

If Lego were to release the Baxter Building or Daily Planet it makes more sense to do so while the Fantastic Four and Superman are both relevant in the public eye and capitalize on the hype for their new movies. 2025 is the perfect time to do it. While Marvel is the easily more popular brand over DC I'd argue that Superman is far more popular than the Fantastic Four. Either way I'd be happy with whichever option they go with.

There‘s no way Superman Legacy won‘t get sets  Supes is still a big draw, and the movie marks the start of a fresh universe, so there‘s no reason for TLG not to get involved! If the same can be said for future DCU projects is of course unclear. Legacy at the very least should be a safe bet tho.

Daily Planet would be my first choice, but, if I had to bet on what the big modular in 2025 will be, I’d go with Wayne Tower. It featured pretty prominently in The Batman and will probably be in the sequel too. (Given that Gotham is flooded, I wouldn’t be surprised if Batman just operates out of the tower). Plus, Batman is the safest choice out of all the properties coming out that year because, well, it’s Batman.

Arkham Asylum would be my second bet, because it’s also iconic and features Batman who is always a safe choice.

But the wayne tower is just any building, it doesnt have any iconic shape or design. Not to mention its literally an office building.

As for the first part, yes, not anytime soon- but like I said, they've got a number of options.

As for the second, I think the mansion would provide more than the compound. We don't see much interior stuff in the compound- aside from the nano gauntlet lab and a couple of office/conference rooms, that's about it- so it's not like it's hugely iconic (and it's silhouette changes movie to movie, so it's exterior also isn't all that iconic). Obviously the mansion has a billion different designs too, but I don't think that's a drawback for the comics like it is for the movies. The biggest reason I think the mansion would be better is the figs, though. The Compound wouldn't really provide us with much different from the last system compound set, the recent A-force set, or most importantly the Tower. The mansion can bring in a ton of classic comic designs and new heroes and villains.

The Bugle's giant sign and overall 60's spider-man feel help it pop in a way a wayne tower wouldn't really, IMO. Likewise, Oscorp often has a very sleek and evil-looking building, almost like a futuristic Tower of Orthanc,

In the Nolan films, sure, it’s pretty boring. Elsewhere, it’s typically a creepy gothic skyscraper with a giant golden ‘W’ at the top.

I was thinking they could base it just off The Batman and have stories of his living quarters and the Batcave at the bottom. But, I also like the idea of having it “comic based” and drawing some inspiration from Batman Begins and Batman Forever by throwing in a Tumbler garage and a lab for Edward Nygma.

I feel like the Hall of Justice would be great, as it’s a more unique building, and it would provide variety in minifigures and with the rooms inside of it.

In regards to Wayne Tower, Wayne Manor might similarly provide more variety than another skyscraper office building, in addition to possibly connecting to a Batcave. How they would do that with modulars, though, I do not know, and the manor has a similar issue with the tower of not having a very iconic interior. Arkham would likely come before either.

I'm one of those 3 fellas who don't want an Oscorp modular, so you've hit a dead end with me, buddy.

The Bugle is different, though. Not only has the iconic sign, but actually has characters there. The Wayne tower has, what, Lucius Fox?

Yes, but do we need another huge skyscraper? Look at the avengers tower set, it's empty. And we actually do have scenes in several rooms of the building. In the Wayne Tower we could have Bruce Wayne's office and maybe a lab.

Maybe you can think of something else. Not trying to sound passive agressive, genuinely asking.

I think you'll find you're missing some particularly gripping boardroom scenes that are just crying out to be made into dioramas.

I like me some DC but I don't think that Wayne Tower is necessary.

I was anti-Wayne Tower before the Daily Bugle came out. I thought that set would be boring but I was wrong there. The Bugle itself is not that inspiring, but they were smart to include the big red sign, fire escape, and news screen for visual interest. And then the interior is great. Avengers Tower, as someone said, does not have a great interior, but I think that is probably because of the shape of the building.

The facade shouldn't be a problem: Wayne Tower isn't usually just a skyscraper except for in one or two of the live action movies. It either has an art-deco look or is a big imposing gothic tower with neon lights. Both are very cool and would stand out as unique. If they go with a hybrid inspired by different sources, there are plenty of things which they could choose to include on the inside: a garage/bat-bunker with a bat-tank under construction, a tram station, a couple of offices for Bruce and Lucius, a lab, a showroom, a secret elevator/slide to the bat-bunker, and a helipad or penthouse on top. The New 52 made the (very poor) choice of placing Mr. Freeze's origin in Wayne Tower, so his lab could be included too, with Nora in cryostasis. Then obviously there would be a bunch of villains attacking, like in the Bugle, so you would need things for them to steal and can add visual interest with sub-builds for characters like Mr. Freeze, Clayface, or Poison Ivy using their powers along the building's facade. Batman also has enough civilian supporting characters that they could be fig-barfed in like Spidey's cast. No, maybe not as many are directly associated with Wayne Enterprises as with the Bugle, but not all of the characters in the Bugle are super well known or developed. (Amber Grant? Rob Barney?) A lot of those figures were really just given names from the comics, and didn't even look that much like the character. So I don't think that the lack of popular characters associated with Wayne Enterprises beyond Lucius Fox and his kids would stop them from throwing in characters with a tenuous connection like Silver St. Cloud, Leslie Thompkins, and Harvey Bullock along with deep cuts who are connected (Sasha Bordeaux? Philip Kane? Lincoln March? heck, even Talia and Damian are closely associated enough to make sense). The highlights of the set would be the heroes and villains anyway, like the standouts of the Bugle were Daredevil and Punisher.

The biggest problem with Wayne Tower is that the Bugle was able to have such a great figure selection because there were retail Spidey sets being released simultaneously which introduced most of the villains and heroes. Right now (as has been memed to death), we just have a couple of versions of Batman and Joker in production, along with maybe the Harley Quinn and Batgirl from last year's Juniors set and that book.

There are plenty of DC modulars/D2Cs I would prefer to Wayne Tower, (the Hall of Justice would be perfect!) but I would still take it if that is what we are given. DC I think might have more locations which fit into the modular style than Marvel does, especially in Gotham City, so it would be smart if Lego began alternating them. But I totally understand that with the state of the brand why they would prefer to stick with mostly Marvel for the time.

I also don't think that a Batman modular is out the question just because the DC brand is in a bad state. Batman is being included in some of the same weird experiments as the Marvel sets, like being given buildable figures, a couple of busts, and a big gimmicky D2C. Makes sense that if they want to start pacing themselves with Marvel modulars and there is a lull in the MCU release schedule in a year where a new Batman movie comes out that they might give DC a little more focus.

*pretty solid essay that actually turned me around on Wayne Tower and now I want a set of it*

Based on this information, I have developed a concept for a Wayne Tower set:

Wayne Tower ($399.99): 23 figures: Batman*, Batman, Batman, Batman, Batman, Batman, Batman, Batman, Batman, Batman, Joker, Joker, Joker, Joker, Joker, Joker, Joker, Joker, Joker, Joker, Bruce Wayne, Jack Napier, and Harley Quinn.

*All Batman and Joker figs are some variant of those appearing in the 2023/2024 sets. The specific distributions are random.

I read the last page, and i have a question :

How do you know we gonna have a Modular for Batman/DC ? Is this a leak or just pure speculation ?
