As am I, although I still think we might see a Hog's Head and perhaps Zonko's or Puddifoot's next summer as part of their growing Hogsmeade village. We've had Hogsmeade builds every year for three years straight now, and there are still some pretty obvious things missing.

Hmm… Zonko’s maybe, but Puddifoot’s? I’m not sure about that. Zonko’s is iconic as the prank shop that inspired the Weasley twins and it features as a theme park location so it’s got name recognition outside just book savvy fans, whereas Puddifoot’s only rated a non-functional shopfront in the theme parks. Pretty sure only book fans understand the significance of the doily covered tearoom, so I can’t see there being nearly as much demand for it. Zonko’s and the Hog’s Head paired up like Honeydukes and the Three Broomsticks could work though.

Zonko's and Hog's Head are on the town layout on the advent calendar flap along with Honeyduke's and The Three Broomsticks. Might be a hint toward the future.

The first 2HY rumour is here! 76433 is rumoured to be a buildable mandrake at $65 :classic:

Wonder if that one will have another sound brick.

Apparently it’s 579 pieces for $65, the Sorting Hat is supposed to have fewer pieces than that for $100 so I’m not getting my hopes up for a screaming Mandrake :(

And Dreamzzz is apparently the new HP - the cheapest set in its leaked summer wave amounts to EUR 30. 'Cause nothing says "targeting kids" like exclusively making sets you can't afford on an allowance.

Regarding the mandrake: I called it some time ago that HP 2024 would be buildable objects galore, but this is getting ridiculous very fast. If we HAVE to have buildable potions ingredients, at least give us Snape's jar of creepy-crawlies he keeps in his office! A lot of us adults work in offices and like Snape. I'm just saying. ;-)

I mean if it goes with the botanicals I understand this more than most of these buildable sets. Definitely more sensible than our third hedwig in five years and the sorting hat.

Fourth Hedwig, actually. Don't forget the pencil holder one!

When do we expect more detailed set info to pop up?

February  Sure, we have the Mandrake rumour, but it’s still too soon for any detailed info I believe. Then again, we already know about the minifig selection in the SW sets scheduled for June :shrug_oh_well:

And of course we already know what the D2C set is gonna be!

Theoretically the UCS Burrow hasn’t been confirmed, but a lot of the other sets names from that survey leak have been getting confirmed recently, so it does seem a safe bet. (And I do recall that leaked image having enough red headed minifigures for the entire Weasley family so if this is how lego chooses to sneak up Charlie I’m not going to complain)

And in the past March Harry Potter images have leaked in January or even Deso we might not have to wait until February. (Except for the Mandrake, that’s a summer set apparently so it will be quite awhile before we see that)

Personally, I’m hoping to hear something about the other Harry Potter summer sets soon - it’s a little odd the info on the mandrake leaked all on its own.

Personally I am here for the animal info of the upcoming sets

Oh, my eagerness to see pics of the March sets is definitely focused on what animals other than Buckbeak come in the Magical Creatures set, how many owls (plus what new color of the inevitable smowl) come in the Owlery, and seeing what the molds for Fang and baby Norbert look like. Everything else is just extra.

Honestly, same. The minifig selection is the most boring we‘ve had in the reboot with not even one new character, so it‘s definitely the animals and creatures that save it for me

I am vaguely interested in the two ‘random’ students in the boathouse look like, since there’s a non-zero chance they could be based on actual named students (Millicent Bulstrode, Ernie McMillan, and Zacharias Smith are all technically possibilities) and the builds sound fairly fun, but the creature are definitely the stars of this wave

A Niffler. Yes, one, in singular. And it's on a sticker.

That would be my guess based on empirical evidence, anyway.

EDIT: On a slightly more serious note, I wouldn't be surprised by a Cornish Pixie. Those are hardly native to the Forbidden Forest, but LEGO wouldn't care - they've already stuck them into two previous sets where they didn't belong, they might as well get some more use out of the mold, especially since I'd guess the Chamber of Secrets set they'd made it for (and really the entire modular Hogwarts) is nearing EOL. And/or a baby Thestral. That's another mold that hasn't seen much use, and the Thestral Carriage set won't be around forever, either.

Yeah, those two technically could be new characters, but they don’t really count in my book. It’s not like they’ll have new faceprints or hairpieces or anything

I'm not so sure about that (and the Mario one, too). Can you imagine showing off your collection to fellow flower enthusiasts? "Here's my new rose bouquet ... Here's the wildflower bouquet in a vase ... There's the daffodils ... The tulips, of course ... Oh, and here's a screaming baby someone's stuck into a pot!"

One of these things is not like the others, is all I'm saying.

I'm keen to see the Hagrid's Hut set generally. It's been a very long time since the last one based on the PS/CoS version and all previous ones had an "opening up" gimmick/function that was in theory good for play but totally ruined the aesthetic of the interior, so it'll be cool to see how they interpret it this time.

I'm also hoping they give us an appropriate different outfit for Hagrid himself.

As for the rest, yeah... just the animals.

I won’t argue with you regarding the Ravenclaw banner, but Pixies actually did make a brief appearance in the DH2 Room of Hidden Things scene so that was definitely an appropriate set to reuse the piece in.

And I still think there’s reason to be optimistic about the Niffler piece coming back - the FB movies might not have gotten traction, but Nifflers have become rather popular in their own right and lego would be foolish not to take advantage of that when they already have the part.

Tell that to the Hufflepuff banner! ;-) (Though I fully accept your correction about the Room of Hidden Things. In fact, I own the set now and look forward to building it, and the Pixies is a cute detail even if not something I'd have associated with the Room at all.)

True but at least they snuck one in to the lenticular background, perhaps a little hint that they wished they could include the piece? And I imagine that the price to bring back a duel molded animal from 2018 is a fair bit more expensive than a single color animal from 2021 that’s already being used in another set in the same wave (not to mention that the Chamber of Secrets set is still on shelves, so they weren’t bringing the pixie back so much as essentially extending its production time). With any luck, the Magical Creatures set will have enough budget to bring back our favorite furry kleptomaniac.

For anyone interested, after far too much digging I think I have been able to identify the masks of the death eater in the Gringotts set.  The masks can be seen well in this review on youtube at 1:10

An interview with the designers referenced that the death eater could be Lucius or Bellatrix. However, a quick bit of googling makes it clear that the masks of Bellatrix and Lucius are in the top row (left and middle) of the below image.  The masks on the minifigure head are instead undoubtedly based on two of the masks in the second row, (second from the left and furthest to the right).  These are easily identifiable from the distinctive mouth styles and patterning.

NN7396.jpg

I found two further images of these death eaters including some of their robes which are also unique.  Thankfully, someone has already identified the first of these to be Walden Macnair (images at the bottom show that the robes match the mask to the actor playing Macnair): https://harrypotter.fandom.com/wiki/Talk:Walden_Macnair

The second mask is seen here: DeathEater_WB_F5_DeathEaterFullbody_Prom

A similar image can be found on the wiki page for Yaxley, although it is not his mask (scroll to relationship with death eaters): https://harrypotter.fandom.com/wiki/Corban_Yaxley

These robes are the same as those worn by Antonin Dolohov, shown here: https://harrypotter.fandom.com/wiki/Antonin_Dolohov

And less clearly but still just about identifiably here:

In conclusion, I'm pretty confident that it's our second version of Macnair and first Dolohov - which is pretty exciting, at least in my opinion!
