In past years the Ameet lego HP books have included rare minifigs like Lucius Malfoy and the Hufflepuff Quidditch robes (in the form of a Cedric Diggory minifig), both from the Diagon Alley set. This year it looks like we're getting Harry, Hermione and Ron and McGonagall.

Is there anything less common in the pipeline, maybe for the 2HY, that I missed?

Wasn't there supposed to be a book with Voldemort and I believe Nagini or something?

Edit: Found it, buidable Nagini and Voldemort in one. And then Dumbledore's office Dumbledore and Voldemort in another

We're getting Rita Skeeter, but she's in the more expensive DK book rather than the cheaper Ameet ones.

Yeah, the DK books are definitely a different category pricewise. They've given us exclusive student Tom Riddle and Prefect Percy Weasley, and this year we should see Rita Skeeter, but those are all exclusives. By contrast Ameet had made a couple of rare minifigs more affordable, which I greatly appreciated, and I'm still hoping we'll see the Ravenclaw Quidditch robes one day, or maybe something else. Who knows, the figs from the deluxe Hogwarts Express or something.

Thanks, @Huigberts Builds, I've found those now. They seem to be part of the 2024 lineup, and once again not rare minifigs. I wonder why they changed that, it was such a great draw. There seems to be a new version of pop up book coming this year as well with HHR and a few props (Christmas tree, table present and food). I loved the pop up Hogwarts/ Diagon Alley with Harry and Draco, so I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with this one.

Is that the one that looks like it's repeat builds from the Yule Ball Advent Calendar?  I don't need it since I bought two of that Advent Calendar & have the Astronomy Tower.  But I'm a sucker for the side builds so I'll probably get it if it shows up on sale somewhere.

Kinda odd how we've known about a 2024 book since 2022. Is that normal with these kind of books? I really likes the original pop up book, so that's quite exciting, didn't know about that one yet. Although now that I'm looking at it it feels more like a backdrop than an actual pop up book.

@karrit It's on page 33-34 of the ameet catalogue: https://www.ameet.eu/lego-books/ameet-lego-books-2023-publishing-program/ It's definitely not going to be as large as the cardboard Hogwarts (that I absolutely cherish) was, but I enjoy their artwork and am curious to see what they come up with. I don't know that we 'need' the parts included (there's also a Hedwig and a very, very tiny chess set), but unless it's ridiculously priced, the bodies will simply join my army of Gryffindors.

@Huigberts Builds I wouldn't even mind it as a backdrop really. If they made a number of them, it could be rather cool. I've used the AC boxes for that in the past, but the effect is ruined somewhat by the numbers, and the proportions are sometimes off. A small 'room' could be ideal.

Yes, for some reason we know about the Ameet books an absolute age in advance. I think the catalogues are aimed at stores that will sell the products, which is why they need to know what's coming that much earlier, and in the past they've advertised that they put together books & tins to order, pick a fig, add the booklets / content, etc., so you could design your own product for (re)sale which sounded very intriguing.

Dumbledore's army is turning into Gryffindor's army. And we thought we should watch out for Salazar Slytherin. Meanwhile Godric Gryffindor is preparing for war. XD

Yeah it's still pretty fun, those are the kind of things I just randomly pick up whenever I go shopping in physical stores xD. It's definitely preferable over the regular books, the art is still pretty nice to look at, but the activities aren't really doing it for me fsr

Well I bought enough PPMs that Slytherin now has an army of Firsties of its own, so it's all good. 😉

(Agreed as to the activities in the books. Part of why I think a scenic backdrop would be a step up. I don't understand not age-proofing the content a little more. The Hogwarts / DA display was all ages, why not do more of that? It can't be any more work to create than their 'puzzles' and mazes are.)

Yes, it's nothing I need but like I said if it shows up at a discount I'll definitely grab one.  Still hoping we eventually get the Neville one.  We unfortunately never get the annual yearbooks but I think the figures they use in those are fairly easy to get other ways.  I'll need to keep my eyes out for a few of these that I don't already have.

Those Gear Up options for some themes look really interesting with a bunch of accessories.  I just ordered the generic Valentine & Easter books, already have the Christmas & Halloween ones.  I saw a Jurassic one that looks interesting, I love that trans orange specimen jar they use but I already have several of the polybags that came with it & the Dr. Wu book.  I get some of these because they contain exclusive parts we can't buy from PAB and extra parts are always welcome.

I know it’s not all that early, but the Hufflepuff House Banner can be ordered online from Walmart in the US. As far as I know, the other sets aren’t available yet. Link from Facebook: here

Does it fit well with the rest of the modular castle?

It arrives on Friday (so long as Walmart doesn't cancel it on me). So I'll build it when I get it and see how it fits with the previous modules.

Tempting as it is I'll wait to see if Lego offers a decent GWP.   If they were offering the sets at a lower price then I'd probably buy some.

Also the scene where the Dark Lord arrives after they escape and kills several.

Many people die in the Battle of Hogwarts and we are getting that this summer. Surely they wouldn’t leave out everyone that dies; that would mean no Voldemort. He and Harry are 2 minifigures I would expect to see in that set.

I mean it should be fine if the character does more than just die at that location (like Burbage and Cedric). So Voldemort should be fine as he does a lot more than just dying there.

Yeah, between Voldemort and Bellatrix being villains and also some of the most notable combatants on the villains’ side, I don’t think Lego’s going to leave them out (never mind that we’ve already got confirmation that a new Voldemort – presumably in Battle of Hogwarts green – is coming thanks to the censored activity book covers).

On the other hand, characters like Fred, Lavender, Tonks, and Remus don’t get much action in during the actual fight, and when you consider the large number of other ‘good guys’ that can fill out the ranks of the castle’s defenders…

I finally broke down and bought Diagon Alley. It’s been out of stock in the US since November and just went on Backorder. I’m thinking I may hold off on building it until Gringotts is revealed. If the two of them are really incompatible, then I’m not sure I’ll want to keep it.

Now just to find enough space for even the one set!

Same, I've been sitting on the set for years so I can build it alongside Gringotts. I want the full Diagon Alley experience xD.

Speaking of Gringotts. I went back and read parts of the topic again and noticed how @bRICKbRAT (aka the one with the suspiciously accurate predictions) mentioned on multiple occasions how he would love a Bill Weasley figure to appear in the set. I can't help but wonder if that's another one of his "predictions" or an actual wishlist.

Bill worked at Gringotts so his inclusion would make sense, even if we never see him there in the movies.

I mean, according to the Escape from Gringotts ride at Universal Orlando Bill was there during the trio’s heist gone wrong. Not necessarily the strongest claim to canon, but with the number of minifigures one would expect from a set that price compared to the number of characters actually in the DH2 movie scenes (the trio, Griphook, Bogrod, and several nameless goblins a security wizards) it’s not out of the question that Lego might include another known bank employee.

I’m on holiday so not been checking this forum much, super excited for the Hogsmeade AC, that is my wish come true! A return to form for the Advent Calandars!

I made an Hogsmeade Advent Calendar MOC on my Instagram myself for 2021, and 4 of the figures leaked are the same, but now we are getting wonderful new prints and hat/hair recolours!

Fantastic getting Aberforth, although all the purple doesn’t look right to me, I’ll swap the legs at least.

Only thing this AC needs now to be perfect is a printed Hogs Head signpost so we can MOC our own pub :D

There’s been at least one unique printed tile piece in each advent calendar so far (2021 was the sole exception with 5, but that’s likely down to the number of repeated torsos). And given we’re getting Aberforth I’d put the Hog’s Head sign at the top of the list of possibilities. Especially since the Hogsmeade set has already introduced (sticker) versions of the Sirius Black wanted poster and Honeydukes signage.

New pics of Aberforth have shown up on Instagram showing the full prints (front and back) on both the head and torso. Pretty good for an advent calendar fig, just a shame he’s missing his kilt.

There could still be a kilt piece though? The leaked fig needn't be complete. That said, has there ever been an AC minifig with a cloth part?

Only capes as far as I know of. So that doesn't bode too well. What I think is odd is that they picked purple for the legs, kilt or not, there's absolutely no purple in his outfit there. Sure his robes might reach there, but that's the backside, not the front.
