It also looks like young Harry. Not that that has to limit the scenes included, but what do people think will be depicted in the two cars?

A chocolate frog  and a Bertie Bott's Beans brick plus a regular green frog hidden somewhere.

LEGO could also put a book with a printed tile or sticker to represent photographies book that Hagrid gives to Harry. And why not some printed 1x1 tiles with Famous Witches and Wizards Cards pattern.

The BoH design looks good for the Hall entrance. I'm building a large version of the great Hall and this ticks a lot of the visual elements for the front anyway. Hard to tell the scale in the leaked image and you can't really make out the courtyard windows details. Might be easy to moc it to fit on the original great hall.

Dobby looks a lot cuter than i was expecting, not sure I need it but wait and see.

I really thought they would do their own thing with the remake of www but it looks so similar to the other version. The inclusion of another build might be their way of making you buy another version of it. Not sure what the other build is, so hard to make out, it could be the broom shop but it looks like the back of the building rather than the front. Seems a bit small to be Borgin and Burkes but the colours would match it. I'd go with broom shop as it's a grey colour too.

Train station looks good but It might be easier to just buy the bricks and build it rather than buying another train. Looking forward to seeing better images. I'd have preferred the ship instead of the train. Too many repeat sets in this wave.

An obscure shop like Broomstix doesn't make much sense for a playset, I think it's more likely to be a scaled down Borgin and Burke's so you can re-enact the scenes from HBP. As a playset with limited pieces, it makes more sense to use those bricks for something that adds to the play rather than a random building kids wouldn't even recognise.

Ah, but they can sell me a Borgin and Burkes (and make it all nice and scary with the DE and the cabinet if they need to cover that era, or go back to more innocent times in second year, depending on the minifigs required). Broomstix is a much harder stand alone sale. That would be a reduction of the DA approach to bite sized morsels, that was the sort of logic that led to the inclusion of Scribbulus and the exclusion of Gringotts in the 2020 D2C.

Or if it's really just the façade, they can do the tattoo parlour etc, that sort of corner across from B&B that's cool architecturally, all wonky and angled, but where the shops may as well be empty for all we see.

Since it‘s a HBP set anyway, could this mean that Narcissa is included? That would definitely improve my opinion even more :sweet:

What about Greyback too as he led the attack on Diagon Alley and it would be an easy reuse for Lego as he's not available in The Burrow set anymore? I know I personally have him displayed in my DA lurking in the Knockturn Alley entrance.

Until now, we've read/listened only educated guess about minifigures included, right? The presence of a further building with WWW mess up the past suppositions.

Also the Quidditch player in the Quidditch set that I can see looks to have white legs and a cape and whilst this is my personal choice over the matching legs and no cape, I really wish Lego would keep consistency when it comes to minifigures, especially for things that are released in the same year because it  A) makes things look inconsistent and messy and B) Makes minifigures like the Cho Chang from the polybag look like a clear cheap cop out.

Yep. I've always wondered if Narcissa and Fenrir might make an appearance considering they are from scenes in which WWW is featured.

I gotta say the Hogwarts Express is really pretty had I not purchased the Collector’s Edition or the 2018 I definitely would have picked it up. And for $120, I think what you get here is a lot. The Patronus is pretty good sized as well and since the 2019 piece is my favorite Lego piece ever, I’m definitely tempted. Especially if there’s a new Lupin variant. Dobby is definitely more smaller than I was expecting. Battle of Hogwarts I’m not buying because im sticking with the 2018 system. I really do wonder if WWW comes on a baseplate (seems like the same size as predecessor) or not if they are doing this new line of DA. If it does and you can add any future DA sets to the D2C, that would be pretty cool but I highly doubt. But this new one doesn’t bring much to the table itself besides rumored Cormac. Just waiting on Gringott’s now.

That was just speculation, there are no actual rumours beyond the number of minifigs

So Narcissa, Draco, and Greyback are in the list of candidates now that we know of a second building. This went from BORING to pretty interesting quite quickly :laugh_hard:

Oooohhh nice definitely want Narcissa if she’s included. I’ll bricklink her and Rita Skeeter for my pickups this Summer. Still want that doofus Cormac eventually tho.

The BoH set looks good. It looks like they've taken the front of the Great Hall and little bit of the courtyard there.

I like the train set. It seems like a minor thing but I really like that they've included two carriages. I've always felt that some previous versions felt a little incomplete with only one carriage.

Except that the set is still called: "DA: WWW", isn't it? Last we've heard. And if you look at the sizes, whatever the darker building is it's clearly a side-build. Somehow I cannot see them assigning it three characters (who are all bad guys, too) when that would mean that WWW, for which the set is named, would only get four (and two of them are the owners, so that leaves only two others).

For the same reason, I'd expect it to be a less exciting building, say Broomstix or Scribulous, not B&B which people have actually been asking for.

Fair enough. 3/7 minifigs would indeed be too much, but including a second shop at least increases the chances of a more interesting character making an appearance, and Narcissa is definitely among the most exciting options :excited:

Or better yet, her plus a random masked Death Eater to (partially) depict the scene of Ollivander‘s kidnapping. Yeah, not gonna happen, but let a man dream

…so you only start speculating once we already have all the pictures? :laugh_hard:

I think it's interesting that this looks like the first Hogwarts Express with two passenger carriages instead of one.

I really think the side-build is too narrow for B&B, as that has two rounded windows with a door in between (similar to Ollivander's).

I've found some pictures of Diagon Alley in Orlando and there's a narrow building on the right-hand side between Ollivander's and Gringotts that kind of looks like it might be the right one. No idea what that is, though. It has a green rectangular sign hanging from an upper storey and and rounded sign saying "Diagon Alley Arts Club" below. Given that, it's probably not right, since I don't see how an Arts Club would lend itself to a playset, so never mind me ...

While I still think a WWW remake is completely pointless, the addition of another shop is at least something.

I do not have much interest in WWW on its own, but if they start releasing an annual DA set with a building or two (as I have said they should do since DA D2C came out:tongue:) if is something different:sweet:
Will be interesting to see how Gringotts, DA D2C and WWW fit together if at all:shrug_oh_well:

these look pretty good, but I think the only one ill be getting is dobby (im probably in a very small percentage whose excited for that set )

very curious to see what that trunk ends up looking like

Battle of Hogwarts looks really good! I had my reservations when PromoBricks said Clock Tower. Im pleased it’s the Entrance Hall + courtyard (makes me less inclined to bother with the Sirius’ Rescue set I’ve been on the fence about too for its courtyard).

What I like most about it though is it’s finally a green roof Hogwarts set that doesn’t look to suffer in the exterior! Perhaps this indicates a move away from the focus on the modular system, which has hampered the design of some of the 2021+ sets.

Hogwarts Express also looks nice. I initially thought it was a substantial improvement on the 2018 one, before realising they’re both just really good. Also nice to get two carriages. I won’t buy the set since I’m happy with the 2018 set; however, I like the Hogsmeade Station section. Definitely one I’ll look to Bricklink the Hogsmeade bags.

Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes looks good. I’ll stick with getting the full Diagon Alley version at some point and skipping this, though that side build is intriguing.

Dobby, Patronus, Quidditch I’m not interested in.

Looks a solid wave, but one I think I can save plenty of money on. Looking forward to seeing Gringotts and the vault GWP too, but I’m most excited to see the microscale Hogwarts.

Unrelated, I’ve seen many people on YouTube trying to say how they always used to joke about a UCS Dobby’s sock… didn’t that originate here though?

Definitely started here in the halcyon days of spring 2020, well halcyon for this forum’s HP thread thanks to all those leaks and riddles that were definitely real. I’m probably wrong but I feel like it was something I may have been the one to flippantly throw it out in the first place. Perhaps a eurobricks HP historian will scour the archives for its true origin.

I do wonder if a designer ever saw it since it’s been the appropriate amount of time for set development, although I think a brickbuilt Dobby with sock was inevitable. Part of me wants to buy the set in its honor so I can put a deluxe sock on display, and the other part of me likes having $40 or whatever that set costs.

The wave looks really good from what I can tell. As expected, BoH is the only one that I’ll likely buy, but the other sets look nice too!

Other folks are usually better than me at picking out blurry details, so I’m curious what y’all make of the colored splotches on the ground in front of Hogwarts. There’s a dark green shape that is surely Voldemort, alongside a bright green and pink something. I can’t think of any characters that would be that brightly colored, but I’m not sure what else they would be?
