There’s a dark green shape that is surely Voldemort, alongside a bright green and pink something. I can’t think of any characters that would be that brightly colored, but I’m not sure what else they would be? I suspect those are the spells he and Harry are casting at each other. Sort of like the things you see used in the super hero sets sometimes. Nice then to know that whatever the new wand/spell piece(s) are won’t be exclusive to the Patronus set!

krimimimi Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 (edited) @Rolyat24 No clue, obviously, if it's the same piece as whatever they're using for the Patronus Charm, but I imagine for the battle they'd need something or another like that, and it explains the translucent blur nicely. It already comes in trans green and pink. here we go, I think I found the individual part https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=35032e&idColor=0#T=C&C=0 that's the large one, here's the smaller one https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=35032f&idColor=0#T=C&C=0 Edited April 23, 2023 by krimimimi
Modal Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 Damn the only two I really want to see are micro scale Hogwarts and Gringotts.
brickbride Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 Another blurry mystery: It's hard to say because the roof of the Hogsmeade Station is right in front, but to me it looks as if WWW and the grey mystery tower thing were somehow connected on the lower levels. There's a little dark "bump" in the middle between them. It could be a decoration on the back of the Hogsmeade station roof, except that I'd be surprised if the Hogsmeade station roof HAD a back to begin with. If they buildings are connected on the lower levels, that'd probably narrow it down what the grey mystery tower could be.

I've been wondering that too, especially since like you, when I first saw the image I thought the dark tower was actually part of the Hogsmeade Station.
BacktoBricks Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 What if the tall grey building is The Leaky Cauldron? I've never been, but I believe from what I can gather from images and videos that The Leaky Cauldron is near and connected to WWW in the Orlando Theme Park.

Of all IPs, it's the one most in need of a HETV reboot. Film is rarely a good medium for adapting long-form dramas with lots of characters, as time limits mean a lot has to be cut out, and the Harry Potter films aren't exactly peak cinema - there's no continuity regarding basic stuff like the uniforms and the layout of the school, and their quality as adaptations drops the further into the series it goes. We have A Series of Unfortunate Events as testament to how good an adaptation of a book series into HETV can be; with prestige television firmly established, there's really no reason for anything of that ilk to be on the big screen again.
Fenghuang0296 Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 Oh hey, there’s a giant mech version of Harry’s Patronus. I’m probably going to get that so that my giant robots can fight or combine with it. I feel like that one’s going to fail as a collector’s piece, but when it goes on discount I will happily buy it as a parts pack.

Brickity Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 (edited) Ever since I stopped collecting out of completionism sake, I have to say HP in particular has made me less and less excited every time. The BoH set looks very interesting but that’s about it. Something about needing to collect everything that comes out defeats the joy of buying lego in the first place. I will probably just stick to collecting the figures, or stick to ephemeral/limited themes like classic Disney. Edited April 23, 2023 by Brickity

Collecting everything defeats the joy, but having stopped collecting you're less excited anyway? Not that both can't be true, just wondering. I'm pleasantly surprised by just this small peak we've had at the sets so far. Personally, I'd hate if I was excited about every single set in a wave, since I wouldn't be able to afford it. As it is, HP has me buying more bigger sets than I used to, with Grimmauld and the Ministry both being must haves for me last year, and BoH and WWW potentially being the same this year. Seeing two buildings with WWW has certainly piqued my interest.
RichardGoring Posted April 24, 2023 Posted April 24, 2023 Sigh. The Hogwarts Express and Hogsmeade look good, despite not really wanting to get yet another HE train! Might have to get that one, and possibly blend the last one with the new one for a longer train. The Hogwarts build looks really enticing, although up close the new style has never really done it for me, so I hope that continues and I'm not tempted to buy any more. Patiently (and eagerly) waiting for Gringotts. The rest appear to be great and I look forward to seeing them in more detail soon. I don't think I'll get any of them though.

Why would we be seeing the WWW now? It's slated for later release, August, IIRC. The Hogsmeade Station looks like a kind of hybrid of the PS and later versions. Strange, but nice. I definitely won't be spending that much on it, but maybe ebay... Hey are those capes I see in the Quidditch set? @Vindicare, we may be getting those Ravenclaw capes after all! It looks like it! Hard to see on the Ravenclaw one, but Harry looks to be wearing one. Admittedly, I completely forgot about this set when I bought 7 Quidditch polybags. Now I have an extra one.

Points against it: The LC has a pub on the ground floor and rooms to let above, it would have to be much bigger than that. Plus, the LC, like B&B, is a building people have been asking for for years, so they could probably soll it seperately or at least would presumably include it in the set name. With sets such as MOM being shrunken and -summarized- into a set, I wouldn’t be surprised if TLG accepted only one tower of Malfoy Manor for the set to keep it on budget. But Clone OPatra is right. There are only 6 name tags and that building doesn’t have one

The train itself already has about 1000 parts. I believe that 76423 is the number of the train and 76422 the station. Weasleys Wizard Wheezes set has a number, that is probably not known yet. I see more than 800 pieces. Of course everything can be wrong :) I’m gonna jump on this hope with you. I have no interest in another express since adding 3 more cars to the 2018 one. But I really want that station.

Plus, the LC, like B&B, is a building people have been asking for for years, so they could probably soll it seperately or at least would presumably include it in the set name. The thing with the Leaky Cauldron is that the interior isn't really that interesting, so all they really need is a table or two on the ground floor and a bed or two above and they've captured the essence of the inn, taking the focus away from the pub side. Yes it could have been sold separately and bigger, but this way, by taking inspiration from the American set up rather than the London studio tour, they would give fans a taste of what they want whilst providing those who can't afford DA with one of the brighter iconic buildings they know will probably sell well. Like you say it's also a good way to give us Tom. They're was also that tease of a Leaky cauldron sign in the 2021 advent the same time as we got those Gringotts objects do the timing would be fitting from that point. I could be wrong of course, but of all the DA buildings I'm guessing it's The Leaky Cauldron.
