In his IG story, @Brick Clicker is hinting at the potential appearance of a hair/wizard hat combo piece that leaked a while ago and would have been part of a cancelled Vidiyo wave. He doesn‘t say where it might be included, but Gringotts could be an option, like for a random customer :shrug_oh_well:

The Hocus Pocus Ideas set is another option of course, but none of the witches have hair or hats like that… Or maybe it’s a Halloween-themed BAM piece

It's probably Hocus Pocus, Dani wears a hat like that.

She also has long wavy hair just like the unreleased Vidiyo piece too.

Still, the design of her hat is generic enough that it wouldn’t be crazy to see it used elsewhere at the same time.

Yeah, that makes sense! I was only thinking of the three witches, rather than the kid characters. That piece is a near-perfect match.

I see Promobricks has a short video about Gringotts some days ago so I assume the latest rumors come from them? :shrug_oh_well:

They're from Brick Clicker, though they match, so I don't know if one of them got them from the other.

For what it's worth,  Nicky in the video says she cannot wait to see pictures. Implying that everything up till now is just hearsay.

What are people doing for capes for their Ravenclaw team? I bought 5 poly bags, set 30651, yesterday because they were on clearance for $3 each but then realized they did not come with capes.

Hope the capes show up eventually on PAB although given the prices they are charging for 1 green cape they won't come cheap.  The Green ones are currently $2.53 US for one.  Maybe if we get lucky they'll group them all together like they did Castle Flags.  Hopefully they won't be $7.58 like they are charging for one white one.

Hallo,

Sorry haven't been here for a long time now.

When did the new poly bag release?

Can't find any of them in Austria and Germany..

It released a little while ago. I got them from this Dutch webshop that sells LEGO which also ships internationally. I forgot if I'm allowed or not to name the shop hence the vagueness.

Hey, @Sir Godric. Wow they really aren't available at most of the places that had them right now. I checked brickmerge, which is quite good at tracking lego prices in DE, aside from ebay (where the prices are obscene) the only store currently selling them is offering 10% off (which probably doesn't offset the shipping, but every bit helps). There are a couple of general purpose price trackers for the DACH Raum that might be worth checking. (idealo, Geizhals, billiger, guenstiger, etc)

German youtuber Held der Steine has done a review of the Expecto Patronum set. He pointed out that despite what many people (including myself) thought, the main colour is not sand blue but bright light blue.

Frankly, that make the set even less appealing to me. I still think trans-light blue would have been preferrable. Even medium azure (which LEGO Hidden Side used to use for otherworldly landscapes such as the ones in Welcome to the Hidden Side and J.B.'s Submarine) might have worked better than bright light blue.

Doesn't matter to me what color they used since they chose not to make it transparent. It just looks a big ugly mess of bricks to me.  More money to use toward other sets I find much more appealing.

In case you were wondering what the Lee minifig looks like with the new dreadlock piece (surprised I haven't seen anyone else post this up until now):

The Hobbit hair is by no means bad, but this looks so much more accurate!

Looks great indeed! When you're going for accuracy, you might also want to switch the legs from short to medium, as Lee was (I think) a third-year by the time Harry & Co. started school.

Yes, he was in the same year as Fred and George (and Angelina and Cedric). So he should have mid legs in a SS set.

The new hair really does fit Lee so well, very frustrated that nobody’s posted any lots on bricklink yet, I’ll just have to keep an eye out.

Looks great! The black version of the dreadlock hairpiece is from the new footie set @BrickBob Studpants?

It is! I got it a while ago, and finally built it today :classic: The set itself is nothing to write home about, but the minifigs are great! Lots of unique faces and hairstyles in various colours

Looks so much better! I’ll have to order the hair from B&P when it becomes available.

Since I guess LEGO is done with the modular castle system, and in any case I've given up hoping for any more small and affordable modular sets, I decided to give my modular castle at least another bathroom based on "Troll on the Loose'". I used a spare Polyjuice Potions Mistake set (without the figs), MIkita's free "76386 Troll Attack" instructions on rebrickable with some small modifications of my own, and stuck a Hermione with short legs and a scared face (from a Moments book I think?) into it. The result's pretty cool! For anyone who has a spare PPM set or can pick one up cheap, I definitely recommend it.

Why do you think the modular castle is over @brickbride? If anything the BoH was more modular than ever.

Several reasons actually:

- We've had several modular sets per wave initially but are now down to one per wave in 2023, they've slowed down.

- Both of the 2023 sets were based on DH. I don't really see them starting anew with the older books in the same system.

- The older system ran from 2018 to 2020 so three years seems par for the course.

- The Hogwarts silhouette as apparently intended is now complete.

- Who's going to buy any further expansions? Given both the pricing and the sizes of previous sets, people are ging to run out of money and space eventually (since the sets are meant to be displayed all together). Whereas you could convince them to invest both money and space in something fresh and new.

What do you mean "more modular than ever"? The build is pretty lacking, but so were several others (Fluffy Encounter, Sirius' Rescue ...). I think most buyers just got it either for the figs or under the assumption that they'd have the complete castle now and be done with it, see above.

While is it true that he's in Fred and George year, in the movies I don't remember he is so tall. I have in mind this scene in which he's exulting near Harry (maybe the end of the first movie?) and he appears nearly as tall as Harry. So short legs could be more coherent with the movie.

I can definitely imagine more Hogwarts modules added to the castle, the front silhouette is ‘done’ but it does cheat a bit by repurposeing the clock tower module as the Astronomy Tower for example. There is capacity to add more ‘behind’ the present castle as shown combined in the new wave.

Bell Towers, a new Astronomy Tower for the new modular system, another courtyard set, some other 2x1 room modules to fill out the Astronomy Courtyard rear sides etc, the Owlry

Changing the subject I recently got myself the room of requirement set, I’m so pleased with it with the Minifigure selection and the pixie, I’m definitely going to expand it to store all the extra furniture and presents etc from the Advent Calendars. I’m also planning to get a couple of those orange wings on B&P to turn the fire snake into a dragon

I think the current modular system is finished due to the new reboot TV series in development. It's probably coming out in 2025/26, and any Lego sets from that point on will probably feature the new actors' likenesses, so 2024 is the last guarenteed year to have sets based on the 2001-2011 movies. Since the Hogwarts "complete model" is now finished and Lego sets are typically on shelves for several years I suspect 2024 will see no new modular parts of Hogwarts (not counting non-modular sets such as Hagrid's Hut), so that people can complete their own Hogwarts before Lego retires those sets and starting afresh with a new style in 2025 (or in 2026 after two years of no modular sets, depending when the show premieres).

Lego won't want to start a new modular theme in 2024 if it's interrupted half-way through by the new TV show, but they can't be sure when exactly it will premiere, so I think a year or two of sets to compliment the current range is most likely.
