Congratulations on getting the Red Beard Runner, I think. The lights work well in the cabin, you should try putting them on the ligehts on the backk of the ship! I tried it, it's very nice.

How do you make the light at the back? :pir-sceptic:

You know the lanterns? I'm guessing the Red Beard Runner might not have any, but look at the back of the Black Seas Barracuda and there are lanterns.

I think he means how can he fit that bulb in the tube.

I was thinking of those tubes that light travels through, I forget the names, but my Dad got me some a while ago when I asked for some, If I remember the name I'll post them. Attach it to the bulb and then attach the end of the wire to the lantern. It works....

EDIT: They are called Fibreoptics!

Is it LED?

It is an actual Lego part, used in this Technic set, among others. It is a principle based on little tubes transporting a red light.

You will need one of these, eight of these, a 9 volt battery box+battery and a 9v cable.

It is a nice system, I never MOC-ed with it but it may be suitable for the job intended.

:pir-classic:

Very nice!

Honestly though, the title of the thread reminded me of a youtube video where they waterproofed a LEGO ship and sent it out to sea. It floated, but they set it on fire. Ironically, the ship was a RBR.

This is certainly a very bright idea. :pir-classic:

It's nice to lighten up your ship, but didn't you use orginal lego parts? Like this one:

I am not familiar with this piece, which set is it in?

If the lighting on my ship turns out this good then I will be one happy guy :pir-tongue:

Great job Captain

As for the legopiece, from which set does it originate and is it a rare piece?

It could have benefited from a fully darkened room and a slightly more shameful approach to bluetack :pir-tongue: , but I liked it so much that I couldn't resist -

You got a link to that? That would go great to the music from Chariots of Fire I would think... :pir-wub:
