Chances are not bad I‘d say since we have 11 additional set numbers (21271-21280 and 21282), and that sounds like wayyy too many sets for a single 2HY wave The options are: A huge 2HY wave Two big 2HY waves Another 1HY wave and a 2HY wave Nr 3 seems the most likely to me and if there is indeed another 1HY wave, a handful of movie-tie sets is pretty likely They released sets on the spin-offs games, so why not the movie too? Would be kinda funny to see regular human minifigs in Minecraft sets. And how would they make the mobs look different? More realistic texture prints? Sounds like nightmare fuel 4 hours ago, CloneCommando99 said: And if so will we finally get a Lego Jack Black face-print?!! That’d be neat! Quote

Sounds like nightmare fuel It might seem like a cop out but I'd rather they just reuse the existing Mob minifigs where possible. Otherwise the result might be as cursed as the incomplete eye Jabba we were discussing on the SW thread. However whatever they do I'm sure it'll be funny, either in a good way or an absurd way. Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 New info, courtesy of @Lego_Minecraft_Goat: First off, two of the January wave sets have updated names. 21267 is The Illlager Desert Patrol (rather than Village Visit, though it can certanly still be called that, euphemistically ) and 21269 is not just any mine adventure, it‘s The Armadillo Mine Expedition! And secondly, there is a March wave after all, with at least two sets: 21272 (491 pcs, $35) 21273 (555 pcs, $80) He thinks those two and 21271 might be based on the movie, but no confirmation yet I think it‘s pretty likely since March would fit perfectly and this is the first time we‘re getting both a January and a March wave. Before it was always one or the other Quote

Before it was always one or the other I was like, how tf can we get a Village set at 14$, this makes much more sense, I hope we get another D2C Plains Village in the updated 1.14 style Quote
Snake Slime Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 Illager Desert Patrol sounds a tad disappointing. Would have been nice to get non-zombified taiga villagers, or jungle or swamp villagers. Definitely excited for the armadillo mine. We've gotten a few badlands mineshafts, which leads me to hope that this one will be in the savanna. The savanna just so happens to be home to my favorite new wolf variant. Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 Looks like speculation about the March sets being based on the movie was a bit premature as 21271 at least is based on the latest update (the trial chambers, to be precise). Welp Quote
cosmic Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 Just built the soon to retire The Devourer Showdown. Really like the buildable Devourer and all the colors used. Reminds me of the stone monsters from the first Dungeons set which got me into this theme. i enjoy the new mould for the heros hair its something new and bold. Love the purple runt. Watching review videos online i certainly feel like i missed out on the Mountain Cave set when it was out. It has aged tremendously and I can only imagine it would be the center piece of my display if I had one. Nothing has even come close to its impact since its retirement. Not to say we haven't been getting great sets. Just not at that magnitude. Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 (edited) According to @Lego_Minecraft_Goat, the $10 Nether set includes Alex with an angry expression, a Strider, a Wither Skeleton, and a Blaze, plus a piece of ancient debris! Awesome value for such a small set! And it sounds like they finally updated Steve‘s skintone. Edited November 15, 2024 by BrickBob Studpants Quote
Agent Kallus Posted November 16, 2024 Posted November 16, 2024 That's good, I'd read the description but hadn't realised the price point, nice to get a cheap nether set. Quote
Snake Slime Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Pics are out! Armadillo mine is definitely my favorite. The new zombie piglin is a little disappointing, the legs are a big downgrade. Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Finally a zombified Piglin!! What took em so long? The armadillos look great too, as do the Breezes(?), the brown Mooshroom, and the new skins! My favourite build is the Mooshroom House. They just never miss with the mob houses! Quote
MaxHeadroom Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 I like these sets but apart from the pillager raid there’s nothing I’m hoping to get so far which is good since I’m interested in a lot of this year’s sets. Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 (edited) And here‘s the 2HY set list, courtesy of @Lego_Minecraft_Goat: 21274 The Warden Encounter ($19.99) 21275 The Jungle TNT House ($29.99) 21276 The Creeper ($39.99) 21277 The Pickaxe Mine ($54.99) 21278 The Pillager Outpost and Ravager ($79.99) 21279 The Enderman Tower ($99.99) 21280 {unknown} ($49.99) Sounds like a neat list! A warden in a cheap set is welcome and I can‘t say no to more pillagers! Too bad there‘s no set based on the Pale Garden, unless that‘s what 21280 is 21277 seems to be a companion to last year‘s Sword Outpost! Edited December 8, 2024 by BrickBob Studpants Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 And it‘s strongly being implied by the leakers that the two unknown March sets are based on the movie after all! Kinda weird to only have two sets, but at least there are tie-in sets at all Now I can‘t help but wonder if the builds and mobs will look any different compared to the regular sets! Also, neat to finally have our first Jack Black minifig! Quote

Eh I kinda hope not. I mean it's mean to be an interpretation of the Minecraft design as the Lego ones are. So I do t think a Lego Minecraft sheep should look any different to a Lego Minecraft movie sheep. (For example) Sheep 🐏 🐑 🐏 🐑 🐏 🐑 🐏 🐑 🐏 🐑 🐏 🐑 🐏 🐑 🐏 sheep 🐏 🐑 🐏 🐑 sheep 🐏 🐑 🐏 🐑 🐏 🐑 🐏 🐑 Zzzzzz Quote
Agent Kallus Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 Looks like Minecraft is getting an Advent Calendar. Quote

Capybara554321 Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 Yeah my go to was either minecraft or ninjago. Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted January 5 Posted January 5 More news on the March wave, courtesy of @Lego_Minecraft_Goat: 21272 Woodland Mansion (movie set), 491 pcs, $49.99 21273 Ghast Balloon (movie set), 555 pcs, $69.99 21282 The Parrot Houses, 535 pcs, $69.99 Quite ironic that we finally get the long-request woodland mansion, but as a movie-based set. Hopefully the design will be close enough to work as a representation of the in-game structure as well! The Ghast Balloon makes sense, given the appearance il the trailer And more mob houses are always welcome! Since the parrot set seems to include at least two houses based on the name, I think it‘s save to assume there‘ll finally also be some parrot recolours of the parrot piece Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Minecraft not only gets its first AC this year, but also an encyclopedia! The exclusive minifig pretty much has to be a new player skin! Fingers crossed for something creative like a skin based on the classic red-shirt blue-pants smiley minifig Quote
Agent Kallus Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Minecraft is actually a pretty perfect choice for an AC as it's full of little builds for Mobs, took stations and such. Do we know if the Mobs from the movie sets will use thier normal designs? I kinda hope so otherwise they really just wouldn't fit in, and the movie versions are based on the game versions anyway. I mean I'm sure Steve and the humans will just be regular figs but I hope they don't make a different style of mobs just to use it for a few sets and then go back to normal. Kinda like the Original Clone wars sets and the faces contained there in. Quote
