Same for me :(

Was so holding out for Rapunzel to look good… the colors are all wrong 😩

Anyways hoping someone will make a custom hairpiece for her, maybe that’ll help

Same for me. Not sure why Instagram made that change.

For Tiana it looks like the castle fig has shimmery/metallic accents on the dress… that’s the only difference I can spot

No leg printing on Naveen is :/

Also, is that Luna Lovegood's hair on Rapunzel? Something doesn't seem right with it.

i cant really tell but it would be wild if they made a brand new hard plastic hairpiece this year (i think, might have been last) just to not use it on the minifigure

No, there's a bow sticking out the back. I think it might be the newer mold they created for Rapunzel this year.

I actually love the Peter Pan set, but it was also one of my favorite rides at Disney world as a kid so the set design definitely plays into the beginning of the ride and flying over the city.

I understand the complaints but can LEGO really base the price entirely on reused minifigs? For example, if they made this set $30-40 and then another similar set comes out with Belle and the beast I don’t see people being OK with it being $20+ higher just because it has 2 brand new minifigs. Yes, I know WE may see it as justifiable but that can’t be a pricing strategy LEGO uses, it wouldn’t make sense to the broader market.

Seeing the additional pics of the castle also has solidified my growing disappointment overall.  No doubt that I’ll get it but was hoping for a bit more. The interior is a significant downgrade IMO, though the execution of the facade is solid and I appreciate the subtle changes from the original that makes it a bit more accurate

That‘s Cedric Diggory‘s new faceprint :classic:

The Peter Pan set is lovely. So glad Wendy finally gets a minifigure and can join Alice and Dorothy. I do hope one day we can still get her brothers and Nana.

Rapunzel's dress colors are actually accurate. To the movie that is, not how she looks in merchandise. In fact I'm a little jealous that they did such an accurate job on her unlike Snow White with those overly bright colors and random assortment of glitter.

The only drawback with Rapunzel is her hair length and I'm not sure why they gave her a bow since she's never worn one.

pretty sure thats a flower

The Peter Pan set looks great! The use of colors in that set is used really well. Awful price, though.

That set also would have been a great excuse to give Peter Pan midi-legs and a micro Tinkerbell. The fact they are exactly the same as the train versions are a bummer.

You're right! Honestly the one flower look is just sorta cheap especially since her real braid has so many. The rest of her is so well done though that even though I'm not a fan of Tangled and was only planning on BLing Snow White, Florian, Cinderella, and Henry, I may just pick up Rapunzel and Flynn as well. The Tangled minifigs look the best overall.

Getting a closer look at Florian, I'm not a fan of his face. He looks a little smarmy for my taste and not princely enough. His hair should be a darker brown (like Flynn's hair) and his torso, like Snow White's, would have been more accurate had it been a darker blue. His belt shouldn't be brown either. I'll probably give him a dagger as an accessory since it's not printed on his belt.

I think the dress being floor length is throwing me off, and the gold patterning on the front. I wish it were purple/pink/blue like the movie. But the hair is still the biggest disappointment for me 😩

Yeah it's a bit odd that they went with a full dress for Rapunzel when both Aladdin as well as Pocahontas (from this year!) show they can do barefoot characters/princesses.

Yes, the dress length is an issue several others pointed out as well and I'm not the biggest fan either. The Anna minifigure from the CMF series 2 had the same issue. Would have been better to give her a short fabric skirt over bare legs. And you're right about the gold as well. I didn't notice that until you mentioned it but her movie dress definitely doesn't have gold patterning.

Aurora's minifigure has the same issue. They gave her gold accents on her dress even though her dress never had any gold. A trend I've noticed with all the princess minifigures this year is that Lego has been throwing unnecessary gold accents and sparkles, on top of generally inaccurate to the movie colors. In that sense, Rapunzel comes across the best since the rest of her dress has accurate colors. I'm particularly impressed that they kept the stripes on her sleeves and the banding underneath.

The hair is a huge flaw though. I really rather they had skipped the braid and just gone for a long hairpiece, something that actually touches the ground and isn't only as long as her torso. Rapunzel's long hair is her defining feature so it astounds me that all her minidolls and now her minifigure keep giving her medium-length hair.

Aladdin wears pants and Pocahontas wears what's essentially a miniskirt/dress that's short enough that her legs have maneuverability. Rapunzel's skirt is long enough that legs wouldn't really work because it would be like splitting her dress in the middle. That's an issue all the princesses in their peasant dresses (Cinderella, Aurora, Belle, etc.) will also face since their skirts are short enough to show some of their legs but using legs for them wouldn't be correct either.

The dress Mulan’s CMF has is basically the same length as Rapunzel/Snow White and they gave her legs. I definitely think Anna should’ve had legs too :( it’s just more inconsistency

very interesting that the peter pan set has pin holes on the left side, perhaps there will be multiple sets like this in the future?

Mulan's dress is longer than Rapunzel's and more or less the same length as Snow White's, but I always felt it was a mistake to give her legs. I think they did that because they felt people would want to pose her in action poses but in that case, they would have been better off using one of her army outfits.

Besides giving her legs instead of a skirt, Mulan's skin tone is too light and her hair way too long. Another reason her minifigure should have come in a different outfit since they're reusing her minidoll hair which is long but in her blue dress, she already had her haircut.

Peter Pan set looks like it should be a GWP.   Definitely not something I would purchase at that ridiculous price.

While I like the exterior of the Castle much better than the original it's not something I want to buy another version of just to get the Minifigs and a few different scenes.   Maybe if I eventually find one second hand for half the price.  Overall really disappointed in all these new Disney sets.

Good catch, but wouldn't there be pin holes on the left side of the black base as well then?

I'm probably going to get the castle as I want all the figures (minus Tiana) and I'm betting that will be an expense in itself so might as well get some actual building time out of it. I actually much prefer this design with the Gold and light nougat colour scheme and the smoother pillars. Trouble is, I would want to place all the minifigures inside the castle to display them but then they would be against a wall. Turning the castle inside outwards to display though would probably look a bit silly. :sceptic:
