Bessa shared the news that Lego is releasing sets for Disney’s 100 years of wonder, he’s one of the designers involved, however he’s not the lead designer of all of them.

Loving the way that the new Elrond and Gandalf can ‘sit down’ in the new Rivendell set, gives me a nice idea on how a Cinderella minifigure could sit in the carriage on the way to the ball 😁

I’ll be shocked if we end up finally getting minifigure princesses and Cinderella isn’t one of them. She’s gotta pop up in one of the sets this year.

Huh, so it seems I was right in guessing that we are getting a Nightmare Before Christmas set, but it's through LEGO Ideas, which I was not expecting.

Well that's disappointing. :( Does that mean the Disney train will have minidolls then I wonder. I know the books are normally minidolls so it might be the exception in the list and the rumour said minifigures for the train, but as it's at a relatively cheap price point and a 4+ set I have to wonder now. Hopefully it will be more like the Mickey 4+ sets, but with good looking minifigures.

Interesting that the book wasn't officially revealed but seems to have been put out on a store shelf early yet again. Don't know why Lego's holding out on revealing it. 😆

Peter Pan and Wendy's Storybook Adventure set leaked, and yeah, nothing exciting. Just more mini-mini-dolls.

What is about the White Snow Cottage ? Is it planned for this summer ?

We don't know.

In these very trying times, these are my main sources of anxiety:

- rising price of goods;

- social instability, and prospect of war from certain parts of the world;

- natural calamity, including global warming; and...

- Lego making most-wanted Disney mini figures into mini-dolls with no prospect of a minifigure version.

It looks awful. I really wanted a Wendy minifigure to go with the other Pan minifigures, not to mention Alice and Dorothy.

Exactly! Disney needs to complete that line of characters into minifigs!

LEGO has a habit of not revealing things. They're just posted on the website with no press release. Especially for these kinds of sets that likely won't generate any kind of meaningful buzz in the press. It's only a huge anticlimax to us, who have been following every leak and rumour for months, which is a pretty small proportion of the buyers of these sets.

Yeah that's what I meant by reveal, just officially put the product out there with a product page on their website. But they have a habit of leaving it so close with some sets that they get 'revealed' or 'leaked' elsewhere and it just makes them look a bit incompetent. Maybe Disney has a say in this one, not that the product reveals anything of the new film. Either way, definitely an anti-climax this one. Even the minidolls look off to me. :(

True, but they do it all the time. It's either, as you say, that they're a bit incompetent, or, and I suspect that this is the case for most things, they don't care. They're not intending to reveal it 'officially'. It's just a thing that happens, and if a retail partner puts something out early and there isn't a planned launch of it, then they probably don't care. At this point, it's a few days, maybe weeks ahead of it releasing everywhere, so none of the competitor clones or sensitive movie plot points matter. Unlike the recent batch of leaks where we're now seeing pretty much every one of those big concepts being cloned with (pretty terrible) versions popping up all over the place. That will annoy them a lot.

As you say, anti-climax on this. But hopefully some of the others deliver on the promise that the big batch of leaks last week promised!

Mickey in a silver jacket has leaked, likely to come in the Birthday Train set as was "predicted" here before.

The same user "predicted" Belle and Gaston are getting figures this year.

I didn't even realise Herby was Disney :grin: whoops.

It was the first film completed since Disney passed away, actually. It was one of the last ones he green-lit before dying.

Herbie has to happen eventually, but the last three films (Herbie goes to Monte Carlo, Herbie goes Bananas, and ESPECIALLY Herbie Fully Loaded) were bigger and bigger duds. Sure he's iconic, but if anything, we'll get him as a CREATOR large scale car. Minifigure scale Beetles are almost impossible to do. BUT: If they do a fig-scale car, it had better be able to split in half! (You can't beat the iconic "53 comes in first... and third!")
