THELEGOBATMAN Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 New information about upcoming sets: 43215 [Minidoll Adventure Park] (150€, 1016 pcs) — includes twelve minidolls 43221 [Paint with Mickey] (55€, 1022 pcs) — includes Mickey the Mouse as a painter; like a smaller art set, broken into even smaller pictures depicting various Disney properties
Pop Star c o Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 I believe it's pretty safe to assume that the twelve minidolls are the twelve Disney princesses.

And then instructions for a variety of Disney icons/characters? The art project set always tempted me, but ultimately the pictures were just too random for me. But Disney characters? I like that more. Edit: also glad the $160 set is minidolls and sounds like it won’t be the Disneyland castle many had speculated. Which saves me some money for sure! Rwbricks Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 The Up house looks fantastic! It’s definitely exceeded my expectations based on the price and piece count. The minifigures and the Dug mold are great, and it’s nice that they threw in a squirrel. My only complaint is the lack of Ellie’s chair to go with Carl’s.

And considering the outfit, I assume it will be the actual big celebration set.

There might also be an error or two somewhere, as I just noticed the HUGE difference in part counts here
strangely Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 Interesting rumors. It makes me wonder if the park set is supposed to combine with the castle and train to create a Disneyland setup. If the builds are as good as Carl's House, minidolls or not I'll buy them. Carl's House is pretty impressive. I think they captured the look of it without breaking the bank, I definitely see myself picking it up. I like the Train set too, I think it's pretty solid for a 4+ set. I don't think I'll pick it up since there's not enough new characters, though I'll definitely Bricklink Moana and TInkerbells wings. My one gripe is that they used the cloth skirt piece for Minnie. When the set features a chair for her to sit in I understand using the cloth piece, but when she's just standing they should use the plastic skirt piece as it just looks better. The cloth version just doesn't hold it's shape and looks bad when the minifigure is just standing.

Peter Pan: new torso print (CMF had collar outlined in black), plain legs. 10 hours ago, JeanGreyForever said: Besides the differences in Tinker Bell, Peter Pan has new plain legs unlike the printed ones before. I am thinking it would be great to mix and match the two versions? 10 hours ago, jjr_2009 said: Both of these sets look great--and they're priced surprisingly well, too IMO. The Up house is an absolute must-have for me. I love the figures and I love the build. I especially love that they didn't make it a huge "collector's edition" set because I don't have the budget or the space for something like that. The train--while much more modest--is really cute. They did a great job of adding personality to each train car--especially for a 4+ set. 6 licensed figures at that price point is seriously a steal! That being said, I don't know that I'll be picking it up, since my kids and I already have most of those characters; we're just missing Tinkerbell (who I imagine will be fairly affordable on BrickLink) and Moana (although my kids have the minidoll version of her). I'm getting the train set only for the Moana fig!!! 5 hours ago, BrickBob Studpants said: There’s still set 43225, which is rumoured to be a $160 18+ set featuring a castle. Could they really put it in a 'regular' set that would be available for quite some time? If it were in the much anticipated Cinderella castle, then it means that castle would not be on sale for a long time since the 100th anniversary celebrations will be ending. 1 hour ago, strangely said: Interesting rumors. THELEGOBATMAN Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 Weird that LEGO still hasn't officially revealed those sets

Darth Shadowthrone Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Someone on #legoleaks appears to have pics of the evil Queen, sorcerer mickey and cruela deville
BrickBob Studpants Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 I think all three of them look great! If anyone was still doubting that list, this should clear all suspicion
JeanGreyForever Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Mickey looks wonderful with the molded hat. I thought they might give him a cloth "skirt" piece to represent the tail of his robes but I guess not. I love the Evil Queen's face and hair. She'll look wonderful once complete with collar and cape. I'm confused as to why she has a visible under skirt though...not a fan of that. Cruella looks amazing as well even if they couldn't make her fur coat as bulky as it should be. I like the inclusion of Patch but I wish they would have gone with one of the less distinctive dalmatians like Lucky so you could collect multiple of them. They got Patch's spotted eye wrong as well. It should be the right eye, underneath the black ear, not opposite to it on the left eye. They're following how he looks in merchandise rather than in the original movie. And it's still a shame that Cruella won't come with her purse since we all know her cigarette was never going to be depicted.
PGBQW Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Not a huge fan of Cruella's design. Is not that it's bad, but I think I accidentally forgot how she actually looked like? For some reason I remembered her dressing in black and white. In any case, the hairpiece and the puppy fig look very cool! Also, I realise it's too late for that, as we've been getting Mickey for years and they couldn't change it at this point, but I think Mickey would look better proportioned if he had mid legs.
Khargeust Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 (edited) If Snow White Cottage is finally released, do you think the dwarves would have classic heads or specific moulded heads ? Edited February 17, 2023 by Khargeust
THELEGOBATMAN Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Great minifigures. I loved the Cruella movie so much that this representation of her has burned into my brain, and as I looked at the minifigure for a second I was like Wait, that's Cruella?

Classic for sure, they pretty much stopped given special heads to human looking characters. For the leaks, Mickey looks great. It feels so good finally getting this variant. I somehow expected then to use the dress piece, but this works probably better. The Evil Queen looks a bit off. She really needs a cape and collar. Cruella looks unfinished. She needed the fur collar piece. I always felt like that piece was made for her. Now she looks a bit too simplistic. Also not too big a fan of her expression. Cruella should be showing her teeth imo. I hope for an alternative face with a big, evil grin. Otherwise great figure. I can already see those purist customisers making ....verse characters using her hairpiece for a female two-face. 2 hours ago, JeanGreyForever said: I like the inclusion of Patch but I wish they would have gone with one of the less distinctive dalmatians like Lucky so you could collect multiple of them. They're following how he looks in merchandise rather than in the original movie. Yeah the dalmation is a bit too specific, but then again I knew they were likely going to go for Patch. However they got the eye right though. It is his right eye (our left). The thing is, the movies themselves were pretty inconsistent when it came to his ear, it's been his right ear in the original, although that movie was pretty inconsistent itself as in a few shots both ears were black. But it changed to his left ear when it came to the sequel, and it stayed that way ever since. This figure is based on the sequel as seen by the tag on his collar. RichardGoring Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Mickey looks great, but can't say I'm impressed with the other two. I think it's mostly their faces. Cruella's expression doesn't feel right, but as others have said, maybe an alternative face will help, as would accessories. The queen's face opacity looks poor, and far to washed out for printing on a dark head. Hopefully they look better in decent lighting and with their full complement of accessories.
Brickity Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 (edited) The new pieces are amazing! Cruella’s face doesn’t look right IMO because they failed to capture the style they used for the animated version, as opposed to the previous waves. Her lips look massive, whereas the movie portrays her with much thinner lips, and very high Jaffar eyebrows. The queen’s face (aside from the opacity) is okay but it lacks the depth and stylization the queen’s features have. Btw, it just me or does Mickey seem to have bigger and more separate eyes? I can’t put my finger on it, it looks… bad. I’m kind of scared for the missing figures now… 😅 Edited February 17, 2023 by Otherworld
doclord Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Really starting to think they shouldn't do characters with balaclavas if they dont know how to do skin colors on them.
Surge Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 happy to see more of the cmfs, hope it doesnt slow down, really curious to see baymax
