Wanted to buy the ice castle for the build but the mini dolls just turned me off! Lol

If you think the build looks good you won't be disappointed (apart from the minidolls) and I would still recommend. I've just sold my one as I needed the space, but honestly I'm kind of regretting it all ready which for me really says something. Now the only thing stopping me from not repurchasing is my space issue, because it is such a beautiful and really unique set in terms of colours. The large trans blue pieces make for such a stunning look. I displayed it with Elsa and Anna from the CMF and it was a great display piece.

If you're not a Frozen fan, the Ice Castle is also a good fit for the Ice Queen minifigure from the CMF Series 16. She can work as the Snow Queen from the fairy tale. There are quite a few fairy tale characters from the CMF series that would work really well with the Disney figures if they had flesh skin tones, which thankfully isn't an issue for the Ice Queen.

RE Ice Castle minidoll vs minifigure suggestions: Elsa and Anna have also appeared in Disney Series 2 CMF, so you could just swap put the minidolls for those figs, @hikouki.

@DisneyLego and @hikouki .. I stayed away from the Ice Castle for a good few months after initial release .. used to look at it in the Lego store and eventually it was on sale at Smyths ( a toy store here in the UK ) I already had a spare Elsa and Anna from series 2 so I took the plunge. BUT there was a 360° turnaround video on the Lego website that seemed to show the light blue pearl pieces as being a darker shade, which I preferred. So I turned all those pieces dark blue and I love how it altered the look. The minifigures look great in the set, Olaf minidoll works well with them too. I’d say go for it 😁👍🏼

Another one for the ice castle train here. From the front it looks great, and if you can get it on sale, it's definitely good value. My children love it as a playset too. The interior is excellent for a playset, but not to the level of a modular. There are some details that are excellent, but it can feel a bit sparse at times and the proportions if the different levels feel a bit off, again all due to the playability of it. Nevertheless, I think it's excellent value. The minidolls are also good!

Nah, I'd rather wait for a MOC or several years down the line when Disney actually makes it under the minifig theme. Thanks for the suggestions though.

This new minidoll set 43215 - I wonder which hairpieces will be re-used for minifigs. I notice that the Mulan, Pocahontas and Moana minidoll hairpieces were reused from the Disney 100 minifigs.

What about the Snow White and the Seven Dwarves cottage, any possibility it comes this year ?

I was coming here to ask this very same question.

Not very likely anymore, I’m afraid. So far, not a single one of the survey leak sets has been confirmed for this year. Looks like Disney is either extending the 100th anniversary to 2024, sets on the classic movies become more commonplace, or the leaked ones were already cancelled and got replaced with what we’re getting now :shrug_oh_well:

My guess is the first option (Disney continuing the celebration into 2024), which would certainly warrant more sets :classic:

I'm OK with that but I certainly hope the idea isn't dropped altogether. A later release would also explain why there's no Snow White, seven dwarfs or evil witch among the celebration CMF figs.

On the other hand, my wallet can rest easy. Or rather, easier. I still got the upcoming Ghost and Hogwarts Express in my crosshairs.

I wonder if we get Snow White minidoll sets eventually... Will the dwarves bodies be like these new Lego character bodies we're apparently getting in this new theme?

For anyone looking for the UP house, a costco  ( San Jose, CA.) close to me has it in store for $47.99. Not sure if it is all costco's, but a good deal for a probably temporarily sold out set.

If we do get minidolls of the 7 dwarves, they’ll probably use the micro doll body seen in some of the book sets

Brick Clicker mentioned on a recent video that a Lego employee was fired for leaking some sets. Dunno if that purge was related to that big leak.

I believe that was regarding the person who leaked the star wars venator, gunship info.

@Killian .. re the seven dwarfs having those micro bodies .. don’t even think that lol .. they need to be minifigures .. short legs or teen legs, but none of this microdoll stuff 😂😱

Now a Palace of Agrabah!? Don’t recall this ever being rumored prior to hearing about it today. Man, my wallet is going to be hurting if it’s movie accurate and Ice castle-type quality. I’ll be picking up all 3, will display wonderfully

The description I read was it would be sized similar to the little Haunted Mansion Set & small Disneyworld 50th Castle set.  A bigger one like the Ice Castle could have been impressive.  I find the small ones to be way overpriced for the size of the build.

Ahh okay gotcha, hadn’t seen a description so assumed it would be in line with the new Ariel set coming out, which I believe is said to be larger

Curious to see a mini version, somewhat odd they chose that castle (palace) to go with. Maybe more to come?

I had been predicting we would get an Agrabah Palace but I always assumed it would be a full-scale size like the Frozen Castle. Maybe one day in the future. I'm very curious what minifigure we'll get with it. My guess is the Prince Ali version of Aladdin, since that look is popular enough that I expected we would see it in the $400 Disney castle with all the princes and princesses. If we get that version of Aladdin with the Agrabah Palace, then I'm assuming Aladdin and Jasmine probably won't be in the $400 castle set.

If the minifigure isn't Aladdin in his Prince Ali outfit, then it'll either be Jasmine in one of her purple dresses or perhaps even the Sultan. He's the only major human character left from the movie not to get a minifigure.

For The Little Mermaid palace set, has it been confirmed if it's minidolls or minifigures? I'm guessing minidolls like the Frozen set although I hope not. I'd love to see a minifigure set including King Triton and all his seven daughters.
