72 ideas are included! Gonna be pretty tough for me to decide which 10 to choose

Or let the intrusive thoughts win and spend close to $600 to buy 7-8 copies to display them all

OH NO NOT AGAIN

I did that for the Art sets, but not this time :laugh_hard:

Actually, you’d “only” need 6 copies since the set includes 12 panels!

For that price you'd be loosing money by not buying it!

Does this mean we can expect pics of the other sets soon? Or would Malificent and Snow White be released later in the year?

i wouldn’t expect either to be released this year

Oh that's good to know! Sorry if I missed any information but that does that mean the other sets which leaked alongside the disney ones will probably also be for 2024+

Out of all the previous lego series figures which ones are likely to be remade in sets in the coming months and year? I know for sure that Maleficent is and there's a rumor that there's a new peter pan set with Pan but not hook. Also the movie versions of Maleficent and Ariel show up in the new set as well. Is there any other rumors or ideas so I don't pay 20 dollars for a figure that will soon be remade?

Promobricks has it rumored that the Disney castle for July will have 12 minifigs. They are claiming that they heard that Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, and Tiana will be included, with their respective princes. If true, I wonder which characters the remaining four are? I wonder if it is going to be two more pairs of princess + prince, or just standalone characters we have just not had?

We are still missing Belle, Rapunzel, and Merida. So maybe some combination of them with their princes although Merida has none. Cinderella's fairy godmother and stepfamily could also take the last four slots.

I'm more curious about Snow White because her inclusion here makes me think the Snow White cottage isn't likely going to happen. Then again, even if Snow White isn't an exclusive minifigure, the seven dwarfs would all be but I still feel this doesn't bode well for a cottage set. I'm wondering if Lego only had a prototype for the cottage set but never actually planned on making it especially since I still have seen absolutely no merchandise for any of the seven dwarfs to celebrate 100 years of Disney.

Where did you find this information btw? I can't find it on the Instagram hashtag, the Reddit thread, the Promobricks website or any of their YouTube channels.

It is on the promo bricks web site write up for the Ariel castle - google-translated into English.

I feel like the three Fairy Godmothers would be plausible. However, Belle and Beast have to be in somewhere???

There will probably be a Snow White set next year based on the upcoming film. Sigh.

Thanks for confirming. I didn't realize it was part of that article. The fact that it's being labeled as a reissue of the previous Disney Castle but with more blue and gold pieces is a little annoying. Without seeing it right now, it's impossible to say, but its sounding like the only real draw to this set if you have the original will be the exclusive minifigures. And based on the choices listed, there doesn't even seem to be that many exclusive minifigures. It'll be even more annoying if someone like Aurora is lifted straight from the CMF series. I'm not sure $400 is worth a couple of new minifigures even knowing how expensive they'll likely be on the secondary market.

I thought about the Three Good Fairies for a Sleeping Beauty Castle set. In theory, Aurora's fairies plus Cinderella's fairy godmother combined could fill four slots. The reliable user who leaked the HP line this year has confirmed that we'll be getting Belle and Gaston somewhere but there was no mention of the Beast and I don't think Gaston would be included in this set since he's a villain. Meanwhile the user who claimed to have leaked the Little Mermaid set claimed that this set will feature Ariel as a human, but I'm not sure how reliable he actually is.

Based on the pattern this year, you're probably right that the Snow White cottage set will be be based off of the cheap remake. And the dwarfs won't even be dwarfs in that but generic magical creatures so we'll likely never get Dopey, Grumpy, Doc, and all the others.

Based on some write-ups on the internet, Disney plans to remake the story quite a bit to "appeal" to certain sectors. I fear that in the end, the name/ title "Snow White" will be the only thing left of the original.

Lego could just be printing money if things like the Snow White Cottage, Cinderella carriage, etc. are on shelves and just getting regular updates. We all have to keep waiting for an anniversary like this, or remake to get something, and it ends up being a bit different from the original stories most AFOLs grew up with. Anti-climactic.

Oh well, I can instead spend my money on that Ninjago City Markets, or save it for the Avengers tower. LOL

Even the name "Snow White" doesn't seem to be very accurate anymore. And the leads themselves seem to be almost gleeful in sharing how different this version is. The prince's actor has confirmed that Snow White will be saving him, not the other way around, like that's such a novel concept when just about every fairy tale remake in the last two decades has featured some variation of that. Not to mention there are plenty of classic fairy tales where the princess does save the prince, Snow White just isn't one of them. Meanwhile the actress playing Snow White has lambasted the original character multiple times, calling her outdated and weak and how she's "fixing" the character and there won't be a romance anymore because the prince is a "predator."

I think people would be less ticked off at the remakes getting sets if it wasn't for the fact that we have very few Disney sets as it is and there are still so many Disney characters who we haven't gotten in minifigure format. So every time a classic character, whether one of the Seven Dwarfs, King Triton, or Wendy Darling, get announced but then it turns out to be a minidoll or based off of a live-action remake that will have no longevity, it feels especially insulting. If we actually had a Snow White cottage set based on the original, I don't think anyone would really care if they made a new one on the remake but now it seems we'll be lucky to get even one and it'll probably just be for the remake. Besides this rumor that Snow White might be in the castle set, the fact that Prince Phillip is rumored as well seems to be another nail in the coffin for the leaked survey sets. I feel Disney would have saved those characters as exclusives for their respective survey sets rather than introduce them first elsewhere.

Yes, sounds like you're better off spending your money elsewhere lol. I have the money saved for the $400 Disney Castle but I'm just waiting to get a look at the minifigures and castle to see if I'm better off spending that money on Harry Potter sets that'll be retiring soon. I have a nagging suspicion I'll end up turning back to Harry Potter after all.

43229 is a Little Mermaid minidoll set. Interesting to see that they’re releasing minidoll and minifig sets based on the same film simultaneously :classic:

The official reveal of the latter seems to be imminent too

The old movies still exist and you are perfectly free to watch them at any time. No need to spread hate

I hope Raps and Eugene are part of the lineup. Nice to get Florian and Naveen but annoying to see reused princesses from the CMF (I'm sure they'll have different outfits but still)

AshnFlash has a youtube video up of the official reveal of the 3 little mermaid sets coming May 1st .. the back of the huge clam is just horrible 🙄

I think that 43225 looks great.

Jarreth2 it could be worse. And if getting back nice too, then the part count and price would get even higher.

I can’t believe how fudging dumb Lego/Disney are with this 100th anniversary of Disney. Like WHY are they making sets based on dumb live action remakes when the classic movies are literally RIGHT THERE??? First Peter Pan,now Little Mermaid, and I’d assume Snow White in 2024 😔 like classic movie sets would sell so well like imagine how cool a Jolly Roger 150-200 dollar pirate ship would be based on 1953 Peter Pan or a Diorama based on “Part of your World from 1989 Little Mermaid,or obviously a Snow White Cottage based on 1937 Snow White. Like the possibilities for classic Disney based minifigure sets are endless so of course they won’t actually make them😔

Short answer: To promote the remakes in the hope that people will bother to watch them.

Long answer: Actually there is no long answer, that's it.
