Mirabel's is pretty generic. Belle's will hopefully appear somewhere, later on (although I think the minidolls line has used it before?). Raya was made as a minidoll to promote her new movie but she hasn't had any merchandise since then since her movie came and went with little fanfare. I am surprised that we haven't seen a Raya minifigure because she is an official Disney Princess now, even if she hasn't been a very popular one. She's one of those princesses who even though her film didn't do well and her merchandise doesn't sell, she still had to be formalized as an official DP because they made such a big deal about the diversity she provides that it would look bad if they just dropped her altogether. I hope they don't use the Belle minidoll hair for her minifigure. It's not very accurate especially when it comes to hair length. Edited April 24, 2023 by JeanGreyForever

I feel like they should have put her in her blue dress for the CMF and saved her green dress for the castle to match Naveen. Or do we think they could have a new ballgown mold to use for Cinderella and Tiana instead? I am guessing that Tiana will be there for two reasons: -Perhaps the theme of the castle is Princess + Prince. Sure, the other 'princesses' have their respective princes, too. But not in the same way as Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. (Belle and Beast would have to be included in here, I suppose if this is really the 'theme' for the castle). -Diversity. (Jasmine and Aladdin would then have to be included - they meet the two criteria as well!) I guess they could include Tiana in the non-glitter green dress. If they make her in the blue dress, will there end up being three blue princesses!?!? If Belle and Beast get their own set, I guess they can be excused from appearing from the Castle. Raya, Merida and Rapunzel would have to be featured somehow, somewhere.

Another option could be her CMF version but with the big dress piece, though it wouldn’t make sense as it would make the cmf version useless and inaccurate. If they make Cinderella’s dress silver and white, I can see them using the light blue for Tiana and a darker blue for Aurora so they would all look different :) This scenario seems impossible to me though.
JeanGreyForever Posted April 24, 2023 Posted April 24, 2023 Cinderella finally got a new 4K restoration this year which brought back the original colors from 1950 and restored her silvery gray dress and dark blonde hair. Not the strawberry blonde hair and pale blue dress she had in all the DVDs and Blu-Rays. There were other changes as well like Gus is back to wearing his original green shirt instead of yellow in the incorrect restorations. That could bode well for the Lego Cinderella minifigures but all the 100 Years Celebration merchandise I'm seeing still has Cinderella as a blonde in blue so I'm not holding my breath. Similarly, Snow White's coloring is still messed up in all her merchandise. She should have a navy blue and pastel yellow dress that almost borders on beige. The BrickHeadz and all her other merchandise keeps her in oversaturated, bright yellow and blue. The same is true for the survey leak cottage set even if that was a prototype image.

The color oddities in the merch are because the merch isn't based on the movies. It's based on the Disney Princess brand, which alters the designs for some of the characters, especially the older Princesses, in order to make more eye-catching dolls and other toys. The DP brand is only superficially connected to the Disney princess movies. Something we have to face up to is that Disney, the corporation, has no respect for its own products, especially older animation. To us, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs might be an important work of art. To the Disney corporation, it's a) a significant event in the history of animation that the company can take credit for (even though everyone who actually worked on it is long dead), and b) the origin of a character--no, an image--they can market to little girls in order to sell toys.

They are throwing them left and right this year oh definitely not. I mean, the Disney CMF 3 does a tremendous job of covering different eras from the company's 100-year history--but there are still SO many characters that could be included in future series. The Disney fandom is similar to the Star Wars fandom in that even the most minor of characters still has an avid fanbase. I would personally love to see The Sword in The Stone represented by some minifigures--I was super excited to see that the titular objects were included with the framed icons set!
doclord Posted April 24, 2023 Posted April 24, 2023 The Disney CMF also has the opportunity to include figures that would likely never be getting a set. I really doubt we'd ever get Miguel and Ernesto in a regular set because the movie isn't exactly toyetic. Same thing with Pocahontas.

doclord Posted April 24, 2023 Posted April 24, 2023 It would be nice if we got a complementary Villains Icons that was Pixar themed, maybe with DVDs instead of VHS tapes? Based on the existing Pixar properties we have we could get an updated Zurg, Muntz and some new guys like Hopper and Randall. I guess you could do the same concept with more modern Disney in general, which would up the figure potential much more (if that's what it takes for Wreck it Ralph figures then go for it).
JeanGreyForever Posted April 24, 2023 Posted April 24, 2023 Pixar isn't really known for their villains. Syndrome and Randall are the only ones that get somewhat promoted or are remembered. I can't imagine any demand for Sid, Hopper, Chef Skinner, or Evelyn Deavor. And I think any interest in Zurg flew out the window after Lightyear especially based on how badly the sets for that movie sold.
roselemontea Posted April 24, 2023 Posted April 24, 2023 (edited) What about a Disney hero icon set? Could have Merida, Wreck it Ralph, Mulan, Arthur and Quasimodo? Edited April 24, 2023 by roselemontea

It would also be a really nice place to get Vanellope. Edited April 24, 2023 by doclord

Tarzan has rights issues because the rights to make more merchandise for him relapsed to the Edgar Rice Burroughs Estate which is why you never see Disney make Tarzan merchandise anymore. So Tarzan and Jane would be off-limits but Terk, as an original Disney creation, could still technically get a minifigure. I would love to see John Smith, Quasimodo, and Phoebus under a heroes lineup. Not to mention Esmeralda and Frollo whether it's another villains lineup for Frollo or a Princess/Heroine or 90s nostalgia line for Esmeralda.

I wonder if they would ever do a set kind of like 80108, with 6 vignettes of Disney moments and minifigures. Would be an easy way to get figs and moments that wouldn't necessarily sell as solo sets. Merida on Angus with the wisps/ Ariel and Eric in Kiss the Girl/ Arthur pulling the sword in the stone/ Peter and Wendy flying by Big Ben/ Belle and Beast dancing/ Mary Poppins and Bert in Jolly Holiday Something along those lines?
JeanGreyForever Posted April 24, 2023 Posted April 24, 2023 I would love if one of the bigger sets turns out to be a Mary Poppins set. There's been several submissions to Lego Ideas that replicate Cherry Tree Lane, including one that's currently still racking up signatures. Before the pandemic, I believe the plan was for Cherry Tree Lane to be built at Epcot so you could actually visit the same street where the Banks lived and where Mary Poppins flew in.
hikouki Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 Perhaps the Disney 100 CMF series won't be the last. I wonder which ones Disney is saving for that. As much as I like Stitch, none more of him - Lilo next time! LOL There are many animal characters that cannot be easily (or cannot be at all) replicated in minifig form. Simba/ Lion King, Dumbo, Bambi, etc. I cannot imagine them making bespoke moulds each time, just like they did for Eeyore.
Brickity Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 I cannot stop refreshing the usual tag on IG. Is it silly of me to expect leaks of the castle this month? I really hope the other 4 figures aren’t the mice/ducks/goofy, I would be so happy if we got Eugene and Rapunzel in there instead. Speaking of Rapunzel, it would be great if she got a hairpiece similar to Pocahontas but that goes all the way down to the bottom of her legs. I don’t think lego has ever made a hair piece that long but I don’t see why they wouldn’t. The braid they gave the minidoll sucks IMO and isn’t very characteristic of her.

Maybe several supporting characters from Cinderella - since her story has all but been left out of the CMF, the Villains set... Yup, same here - I don't want any more Mickey and Friends, as much as I like Mickey. For the lack of any Disney minifigs, I've been buying the 4+ Mickey and Friends sets the past years just to collect all the minifigs. LOL Edited April 25, 2023 by hikouki

If we knew the rest of the planned sets, it’d probably become much clearer who will fill out the other slots. I have to say, I’m still holding out hope that there’s more than 12 Same here on the 4+ sets, although some of the Mickey variations are pretty cool but yeah, I’ve had enough for a couple years lol

Trust me, I’m hoping it’s not the case haha but just hard to see such a large/expensive set sitting on LEGO store shelves without Mickey in it. I agree, if any large set would be an exception it’d be this one. also, as someone mentioned the other day, that leaked Mickey minifig in a tuxedo is still floating around unclaimed in a set

JeanGreyForever Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 Have Donald and Daisy appeared in any new sets this year? It would be strange for Lego to go without releasing them in a new set since they show up almost as much as Mickey and Minnie.
