DisneyLego Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Okay cmonnnnnn, all these leaks and still no castle leak
doclord Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Castle is D2C and July, we're lucky if we get a leak this early. Especially when Batcave is up next. I would like to know the remaining 4 figs but I have a suspicion that Mickey and Minnie are the last pair. So the last royal pair would be Belle and Beast (human, most likely)

Every set is different from each other, and while I appreciate that fact, it feels like all the sets are some weird kind of gimmicks with a really narrow consumer target. I feel the same way. But, I guess they’re going for broad appeal - something for everyone at various price points, as opposed to a singular “cohesive” collection?

I’m just anxious over here lol While I don’t necessarily think they will, does anyone else see LEGO potentially repurposing those small dreamzzz figures as the dwarves? Looking at the dream village set, there’s a couple with accompanying beards & hair and I can KIND OF see it happening. Obviously, I’d prefer short leg minifigs but it’s not like LEGO hasn’t dropped the ball before on the execution of some sets/characters Edited May 2, 2023 by DisneyLego

doclord Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 (edited) The Dreamzzz villager mold could work for specialized characters like something from Elemental or Soul, but otherwise I doubt they would use it for a humanoid character. The brick with arms they use for the Grandma could definitely be used for the Hunchback gargoyles, however. Edited May 2, 2023 by doclord

One of my favorite Disney movies and has a nice variety of characters that would look nice in LEGO form. Not to mention some scenes that could have some nice play features
OttoRiver Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Feel like with some torso printing and head sculpting, the new Dreamzzz bodies would work for an updated Piglet if they ever chose to revisit that franchise.
bRICKbRAT Posted May 3, 2023 Posted May 3, 2023 So LEGO IDEAS is holding a new challenge based on Disney. You can build a favorite scene, character or object based on your favorite classic Disney Animated film. The winner will become an official LEGO IDEAS set and sold exclusively at Target. This might be a good chance to submit a project based on a classic film that maybe hasn’t gotten enough love.
spiderfan2000 Posted May 3, 2023 Posted May 3, 2023 It'd be neat if we could finally get something from Hunchback of Notre Dame or The Emperor's New Groove through that challenge.
OttoRiver Posted May 3, 2023 Posted May 3, 2023 That sounds fun, but looks like no new molds are being considered. Anyone know a good existing hat mold for a Jolly Holiday Mary Poppins?
JeanGreyForever Posted May 3, 2023 Posted May 3, 2023 I would love to see a full-scale replica of Notre Dame with Quasimodo, Esmeralda, Phoebus, Djali, the gargoyles, and Frollo.

Often thought there could be a pretty interesting intertwining of architecture and Disney sets. Sooooo many possibilities there. Almost every major animated movie has a direct reference to a real-life location/building (Notre Dame, Big Ben) or a very obvious inspiration (Taj Mahal, Acropolis and various castles) Would be a great way to tap into architecture fans and those who want more Disney
hikouki Posted May 3, 2023 Posted May 3, 2023 Hopefully we get all these... so much potential that Lego is missing out on.

Does anyone know if these kind of sets which are sold exclusively in one US store like Target are also sold in Europe via another exclusive seller?

They usually place limits on how many of a specific item one can buy at one time. The 36 minifigs would be way above the limit. Current online limits are 3 of the 6 pack boxes and 16 individual packs. They've never offered the full case. There are third party retailers who will sell complete sealed boxes.
