I think there's a decent chance that one of the pairs still has Mickey, but it may be the Mickey and Walt statue in fig form. I would prefer another prince and princess however. My last guesses are Prince Ali, Purple Jasmine, Belle and Human Beast. Rapunzel and Flynn can be sold with Rapunzel's Tower, and Merida and Raya (and Mirabelle?? apparently) can be spread as individuals throughout other sts.

Was thinking the same - Mickey and Walt may appear in the Castle, although I would also be relieved if they don't. I am hoping that the last two in this case would also be a princess + prince pair and perhaps most likely (hoping as well) that it would be Belle and Beast. Jasmine and her prince have appeared in previous CMFs, and they need to tie in Gaston with some set.

I can't see them including him there unless they had plans for Belle and Beast to appear in a set also. That means its essentially 5 couples fighting it out for the last spot if Mickey and Walt aren't the last 2. Ariel & Eric: Strong chance here, especially as we haven't had a classic animation Ariel anywhere in the lineup so far and a human Ariel and Eric would be original minifigures Jasmine & Aladdin: Slightly less here if Prince Ali ends up being the minifig in the micro Agrabah but diversity may push them here. Pocahontas & John Smith: Not likely. Pocahontas has only 1 iconic outfit and she's wearing it in the CMF. She does get a ballgown in the sequel but John Rolfe ends up her love interest and I don't think the general public would want her with anyone other than John. Mulan & Li Shang: I think Shang's lack of a 'prince' outfit makes this unlikely as well. Mulan in her reflection outfit with dual sided face (one with makeup, one without) would fit well here but Shang would stand out in his military garb (his only outfit in the film) Rapunzel & Eugene : Likely to happen if there are no plans for a Rapunzel Tower. If tower than I don't see them popping up here.
Brickity Posted May 29, 2023 Posted May 29, 2023 I think Belle and Beast are completely granted, but the couple taking the last spot is debatable since I feel like the presence of both the Aladdin VHS and the Genie Jafar minifigure point towards the inclusion of prince Ali and Jasmine, but so does the little mermaid VHS with human Ariel and Eric. I’m leaning more towards the latter since we don’t have a prince Eric minifig yet + this is the year of the little mermaid + Aladdin could come in the Agrabah set. However, as someone else pointed out, I don’t see them giving us only one non-white couple out of the 6 potential couples. So either the last couple are Ali and Jasmine and the figure coming with the Agrabah set is the Sultan, or we will get a total of 7 couples but that is very unlikely isn’t it? As much as I would love Rapunzel and Flynn, nothing points towards their inclusion in this set.

Doesn't Prince Adam in his Beast form count for diversity? LOL All the rumor pages say that in addition to the four couples that are *probable*, there are "at least" 4 more minifigs. So perhaps it could be possible we get more. Lego in-house sets get as many minifigs as they can. Is it typical that licensed sets only get fewer? The Daily Bugle got 25 minifigs and it is about 1K less pieces than this castle... maybe we ought to get more than just 12 minifigs. LOL

I loved the film .. just the clam shell isn’t featured anywhere in the movie .. I still think they’d have been better doing a few smaller sets .. Ariel’s Grotto, Ursula’s Lair and Triton’s Throne Room .. I may get the set when it’s double VIP or on sale, but I can wait.

RichardGoring Posted May 31, 2023 Posted May 31, 2023 I saw the clamshell in person the other day and was underwhelmed, which was a shame. I respect trying something different, but too much of the build went into the shell structure, yet at the same time it's not large and imposing enough to make a big impact, and the detail just felt a bit lost in the middle. Which is a shame. Got most of the CMF figures I wanted though. My local store sorts all of them and you choose what you want. I was surprised to see that they'd sold out of Baymax, Miguel, and Stitch. As well as Mickey and Oswald. This isn't just random chance, because people choose the figures they want. I didn't expect those to be the top five.

Lego has been doing a good job keeping the lid on any leaks… perhaps as a result of the previous leaks of potential sets for next year

Because they’re (temporary) exclusives, the only way for them to leak is e.g. through employees taking pictures in the backroom, press announcements getting sent out too early, or them shipping the wrong set to someone (see last year’s Hogwarts Express)

It is clearly based off Cinderella’s castle at Disney World, except for the different proportions of the turrets/towers and extra flourishes.

It was on pre-order a couple weeks ago and I forgot to put my order, and the next day the pre-orders were closed! So I made sure to order mine last night when it went on formal sale on the web site. Now it is on a 60-day backorder! Hopefully this convinces Lego to make the 'other' half of this 'bookend'.
