Really happy to see Peter Pan and Tinker Bell in a cheap set. Don't have the CMF Peter or the Disney Castle, but really wanted both characters and glad I held off buying Tink off Bricklink. Interesting that they are in the train and not the Peter Pan book set.

they could be in both, or maybe these are silver 100th anniversary variants then they have their normal outfits in the other set, or tinkerbell is a statuette, many possibilities

They could yes, although I think it would be a bit of a weird line up to have in silver form, quite random. Other outfits may be more likely, but I can't help but think that they are in the train so that the book can have Hook or Wendy etc and then people have to buy both sets to flesh out whatever scene the book represents.

I also assume that the repeat characters will be silver variants. I assumed some of the CMF figs would be silver as well but the leaked stitch proved me wrong. I feel like the train would be a perfect set to introduce silver figs given the teaser poster

I feel like it's highly unlikely if the "Peter Pan and Wendy fairytale book" doesn't actually include Peter Pan. Isn't it also possible that the set is based on the live action movie for disney+? That would give us the regular one in the train and live action in the book.

Although I also think silver figures have a decent possibility, even though that would be a shame for Moana (if that is the only set she appears in.)

I'm still wondering if The Nightmare Before Christmas will get at least one set for its 30th anniversary.  The long arms and legs being reintroduced could be useful for a revamped Jack Skellington.

I think Mickey and Minnie will have their new 100th anniversary silver outfits. The other characters might get an accessory or two that are silver. For Example, Tinker bell’s wand will be silver but her outfit will be normal.

I feel like it would be nice to offer a mix of both silver and regular figs! Like Mickey, tinker bell, and woody could be silver and Peter and Moana would be standard clothing

Ooooh that’s a great idea. I assumed Mickey and Minnie would be in those outfits if they appeared in the cmf. It would be great to see them like that here. I agreed silver accessories would be a nice touch

That sounds possible. Definitely would make the set more desirable. Althoug we already have a silver Mickey and Minnie from Steamboat Willie, so I think I would be kinda more interested in any other character being silver. Or maybe it's like the Harry Potter and Star Wars anniversary sets, with just one figure being special and silver.

The train is supposed to be 4+; I really don't think silver anniversary figs will show up in here...

I don’t see why not? Marvel 4+ sets sometimes have different variants of figs! The build can be simple though. I don’t see how figs would he affected

I would assume they coincide with their looks in the parks instead of solid silver

Oh yeah that's what I meant, and I think everyone else meant silver outfits as well. Plus (what I assume is) Tinkerbell's arm wasn't silver in the teaser either, so I think solid silver is off the table either way.

What’s up with silver figs? Who wants to have silver figs? That’s no fun, right?

By silver I assume characters would have a chrome finish for their clothes like the steamboat willie ideas set figs.

tinkerbell had flesh skin for the castle set. By chrome/silver I mean just the clothing, not the entire fig as a whole. I don’t think they’ll be like the HP gold figs. Just clothing only

Am I the only one who thinks baymax shouldn't be included since baymax/big hero 6 are marvel characters?

The characters might have come into Disney through Marvel, but the movie was done by Disney Animation Studios and Walt Disney Pictures - no Marvel Studios involved so far as I can tell.

I don't get why he's included either, not something I personally consider a good representation of the 100 year anniversary of the Walt Disney Company but then again I also don't get all the love for Coco either.  But there are a lot of Baymax fans out there.  Personally I'm a huge Stitch fan, I get that others aren't, but I would have preferred they included Lilo since we already have a Stitch minifig.

Both Baymax and the Coco figures were made by knockoff brands (btw also a pink Stitch), maybe Lego uses the inventory of knockoff brands as a research thing to see what’s the demand for?

Baymax as a minifig doesn’t really work well though. The armored version works a bit better, but otherwise it would be a dull almost all-white minifigure. The Coco figures will have probably newly printed guitars and interesting prints on their body. So should be more interesting to get imho

The movie is so far removed from the original comics that it might as well be an original IP, so it woudlnt make a lot of sense to market it as a Marvel set either

I really adore the CMF line-up; in terms of merchandise/collectables I am much more of a Marvel-person, but I wouldn't be surprised if I get more figures from this line than the Marvel line later this year (assuming that is MCU-based). The Coco figures are musts for me, as well as the Pinocchio figures and Mulan, and I'm certain that the Robin Hood and the Princess and the Frog figures are going to be great as well. I actually really wonder how they're doing Baymax; I won't be particularly interested if they're doing a standard minifigure but if they're doing something special, I'd love to see how they tackle it.

I have a bit of a crackpot theory, though. So, this is absolutely setting myself up for disappointment, but despite Coco being one of my favourite Pixar films, I'm a little surprised at the fact that the Pixar representation is limited to two figures from that film rather than e.g. Miguel and a character from something else. Obviously, films like Finding Nemo, Wall-E and Monsters Inc. don't lend themselves to minifigures very well, we're already quite covered on the princesses front, having multiple recent films from one studio would make little sense in a '100th celebration' line and Toy Story, Incredibles, and Up are already covered. However, to me, Ratatouille sticks out; it's gotten quite a bit of merch lately in my experience, and Linguini with Remy would be a single character 'slot' that would pretty much cover the entire film. Could its absence here somehow be related to the Lego Ideas project—not necessarily because Lego are planning on greenlighting it, but perhaps because they are considering it? The optimist in me would like to say that they aren't included because the film is eventually getting its own set, the pessimist in me is afraid we end up getting nothing at all by virtue of Lego not including Linguini in the CMF because of the Ideas project being under consideration and then ending up not greenlighting the project. It could very well be neither, but I find the film's omission a bit odd.
