Glad I grabbed the Sanderson one at midnight.  I had a feeling this GWP wouldn't last long but not even a day is ridiculous.  Also received my shipping notice from Lego already but not from the shipping company yet.

I visited my local Lego shop and they had the castle on the front display. It does not look and 'feel' as majestic as on the lifestyle photos. In contrast, the Rivendell set was 'chopped up' into three sections and displayed in one of the shelf cubbies and it still looked majestic!

Which Disney characters have been made as minidolls from Lego but have not yet been produced as minifigs? I came up with the following list but not sure it is complete...

Beauty and Beast

Mirabel, Antonio, Abuela

Raya

Kristoff

Arista (Ariel's sister)

Has anybody been able to get the promo to add in the US recently? It’s still advertising the promo on the website but has not added to my cart so I guess it’s sold out.

Went to a store today and they still had the GWP... Perhaps that's why Lego still mentions it on their web site.

Don’t forget Namaari, I’m pretty certain she appeared alongside Raya in one of her sets

One of the Encanto storybooks also featured micro versions of Isabella and Luisa, but I’m not sure you’d necessarily count those since they can’t be used alongside the regular minidolls. Although, let’s be real, now that Encanto has hit audiences and the marketing teams have seen the public’s reactions to all the characters, we’re way more likely to see a Bruno minifigure before Abuela or Antonio.

Hasn't the Fairy Godmother appeared in a Cinderella minidoll set as well?

EDIT: Just looked it up out of interest. In addition to the ones mentioned above there’s also Lady Tremaine from Cinderella, Prince Phillip from Sleeping Beauty (rumored but not actually in anything yet), Prince Eric from the Little Mermaid (why he and human Ariel didn’t make it into the new castle I can’t fathom), Boun and Human Sisu from Raya and the Last Dragon, Maui a random villager from Moana and Lieutenant Matthias from Frozen II

And most importantly, Merida from Brave! Can’t believe we forgot her on the list

Alana, Ariel's youngest sister had a minidoll as well.

The fact that Eric and human Ariel are included in the Little Mermaid VHS tape gives me hope there is a set that will feature the two of them, perhaps in a diorama like the Peter Pan set. The Kiss the Girl lagoon scene was a very popular submission in the Lego Ideas contest so maybe one of those will be voted into an official set.

I already have the old Disney Castle, so I picked up the UP house, Celebration train, and 1 of the minifigs and got the GWP. I can't believe how quickly it has sold out in the US.

I bought today the celebration train, Up house and Mickey Mouse's Camping Trip, so I qualified for the GWP. It should arrive in a few days, fingers crossed!

*Beauty and *Beast

*Merida

Mirabel, Antonio, Abuela

Raya, Boun, human Sisu

Kristoff, Lieutenant Matthias

Eric, Alana, Arista

Fairy godmother

Prince Philip

Lady Tremaine

Namaari, (Maui's big-minidoll form could pass for a bigfig... the body is exactly the same as all other bigfigs, and looking at Marvel sets, the heads change per character just like Maui, except for the latest Thanos version).

*Beauty, Beast, and Merida have been made as Brickheadz as well. I am hoping they come out this year and not when the next CMF comes out in the next 3-4 years!!! First CMF was 2016, and the second was in 2019.

Isn't Prince Philip rumored to come out next year?

I feel that Prince Eric, Fairy godmother and Lady Tremaine are important (classic) characters that should be released sooner rather than later.

I haven’t opened my new Disney Castle yet ( and sadly wont be building it for a while yet ) but I’ve been watching reviews and just wondered whether Jiminy Cricket’s collar might look better on Snow White rather than the ‘cone of shame’ one she seems to have in the set. Unless of course it won’t work ( which I suspect might be the case ) because of the shape of her hairpiece ?

Belle was reported by a leaker on this forum, the same one who confirmed Gaston before the Disney Villains set was revealed.

The lack of Brave and Raya representation in this new castle makes me think Disney has no interest in making Merida or Raya minifigures. Otherwise they'd have put something to represent them in the castle.

On that note, which iconic Disney animation movies have yet to be either represented (with a minifig), or referenced (in any set) so far with all the releases? Here is my list:

Dumbo

Bambi

Lady and the Tramp

The Jungle Book

Lion King

The Hunchback of Notre Dame

A Bug's Life

I think the Wartime Era has been barely acknowledged.

Saludos Amigos

The Three Caballeros

Make Mine Music

Fun and Fancy Free

Melody Time

The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad

Granted, I don't think they hold many iconic/noteworthy set pieces but I think a Willy the Giant buildable fig with Mickey, Donald, and Goofy would be an option and minifigs of the Three Caballeros, Mr. Toad and Ichabod and the Headless Horseman would be the only drops to pull from this era.

The horse chase between Ichabod and the Headless Horseman is pretty memorable. Maybe something small with the minifigs, their horses, and some builds of spooky trees for the environment? It would make a great addition to a Halloween layout! Granted, Ichabod Crane would be hard to "minifig-ify" on account of his extreme features.

Interestingly, most of these are animal sets that would require many new molds.

I would also mention Tarzan and Zootopia. I love both films and they have plenty of characters that would look great in minifigure form.

I don't see any of the animal lead movies working as a Lego set.

You'd need every single character to be it's own unique mold that looks like the character onscreen.

And at that point, why even bother at all? I'd be cheaper and easier to just get any other toys with them.

See, Zootopia I can see working as minfiigures, as they'd only need a moulded head to work (ala Robin Hood)

Timothy Mouse from Dumbo could work as a minifigure like Jiminy Cricket.

Thumper and Miss Bunny (and formerly Flower) are walkaround characters at the Disney Parks so in theory they could get minifigures like Chip and Dale.

Mowgli, Baloo, King Louie, and Shanti would be easy choices as minifigures although I think Disney has stopped making merchandise of King Louie.

Rafiki would work as well. Timon is also a walkaround character at the Disney Parks.

The Rescuers could also feature full-size minfigures of Bernard and Miss Bianca, like the Chip and Dale minifigures. Penny and Madame Medusa as well.

More Pixar movies that aren't represented are Ratatouille, Monsters, Inc., Inside Out, and Luca.

Song of the South would have been an obvious choice some years back with minifigures for Br'er Rabbit, Br'er Bear, and Br'er Fox. Pre-Snow White could also feature The Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf. All of these characters are quite prominent in the Tokyo Disney Parks.

Jose Carioca and Panchito Pistoles are super popular characters in Latin America and Japan. They'd make sense as minifigures in a future CMF or maybe even in more of the Mickey Mouse sets but those sets haven't really made any characters outside of the Sensational Six which is a wasted opportunity imo.

Song of the South

There is no way Disney will touch that film again, ever. There are VERY good reasons I'm not going into for why it's not available to buy / stream / view. Lego wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole either... It's too toxic.

On that same token, I wish The Great Locomotive Chase (film or actual historical event) was more widely known, with as much of a history / train fan as Walt Disney was, so we could get some sets from it. (We could use some more Civil War  / Wild West-era trains in Lego!)

....or at least another park steamer, maybe from Disney World?

Unfortunately, there’s legal issues with with making Tarzan merchandise that Disney just doesn’t seem interested in hashing out.

Song of the South is another one we won’t be seeing anything for ever for… other reasons. Suffice to say that Disney is rethemeing Splash Mountain specifically so they can scrub everything to do with that movie from the public eye, and I can’t say I blame them for wanting to.

One or two bespoke moulds in a small set here and there wouldn't hurt...

Lego made a sitting down Eeyore in an Ideas set, perhaps to test the waters and it appears successful. They would now have to figure out how to make Kanga... LOL

Do we think there will be sets post 100 celebration or will any future characters be relegated to CMFs only?

In an Youtuber's interview of the clamshell designer, it was mentioned that Lego "...has an adult strategy..." moving forward. We will probably get a set or two each year after the 100th celebrations. Case in point, there were those leaked survey images of possible sets for next year.

With the popularity of most of the sets this year (I am guessing that, given that a number of them went on backorder after initial sale), Lego would be unwise to stop with the minifig sets this year.

The Up House, Villains Icons, and Hocus Pocus sets were all on backorder. In fact, the Villains set is still currently out of stock. They seem to have been the most successful of the Disney sets released this year.

I'm curious if the upcoming Peter Pan set will be similarly successful or if the high price tag for such a small set with only one exclusive minifigure will make it less desirable.

In the US, the Peter Pan set has 'sold out' on pre-orders. Let's see if it sells out when it is formally released.

I think both the Duos and Villains also sold out on pre-orders but I think only the Villains sold out on formal release (backorder, then out of stock). The CMF sold out at some point as well (backorder, then out of stock).

Did the 100 Icons and Celebration Train also go on backorder (but not out of stock) at some point? I can't remember because I got both of them early.

That leaves the castle, and enchanted treehouse (and the clamshell) as not selling so 'well'. LOL (although the clamshell is not part of the 100 celebrations)

Exactly, Zootopia could be like the Pooh's tree house with only new moulded heads. With Zootopia 2 being made and a new ride in Shanghai Disneyland (and maybe in Disney World too), I feel confident that we will see Zootopia lego sets at some point (a diorama with the skyline, the train station, the police station, the ice cream store, Gazelle's concert, a police car... they can choose things for any set size!)
