BrickBob Studpants Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 According to @Lego_Minecraft_Goat, all three sets scheduled for October are based on Wish. Well well well, told ya

It’s pretty fun and finally explains that odd Ultimate Adventure Castle from last year (sort of), but more importantly it features a brick-built Maleficent dragon! Given that there is one rumored to be released soon, this could be the design we’re getting, even though it looks quite different from the preliminary picture we’ve seen before. And yes, that is a Gaston minidoll riding her who serves as the main villain of the special, so we might get him soon too. Maybe the upcoming castle is indeed from B&tB, but has minidolls including him (which would be disappointing). Then again, the special also features a minidoll Smee on a giant pirate ship which I don’t see them ever doing, so who knows, maybe these are all just designs created for the special. I just finished watching the special and went on here to see if anyone was talking about it, special was very mid, but I hope we see that Gaston minidoll, and maleficent dragon in physical form soon i wonder if we see another Aladdin set in the future, it’ll include iago and possibly jafar in minidoll form, though maybe iago will be in the agrabah palace, which I’m curious, is that set still happening?

After all, people complain that we are missing Belle, Merida and Raya, but if we don't get Wish minifigures now, then next year we would be complaining that we are missing Asha.

OttoRiver Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 I think this means the last of the minifigure Disney 100 sets for the year are the Peter Pan set and Camera set for September1 and then the Micro Agrabah for October 1. At least it will give my wallet time to recover for next year.
Alas_Earwax Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 (edited) So will these Disney sets continue? Or was it just a one off for the 100 year anniversary? I mean...they must be popular, right? Lego and Disney could both make a killing if they continue producing sets like this with minifigures...based off their animated properties. I just got my hands on the Royal Clamshell and I think its wonderful. I would like to see more live action-based minifigures in the future (No hate, I do enjoy them quite a bit). EDIT: Also...I kinda hope the Agrabah minibuild comes with The Sultan. I feel he's the last major minifigure we need from Aladdin now. Edited August 23, 2023 by Alas_Earwax
Surge Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 I might pick up that 20 dollar set just for the goat and the star, but other than that really wish these were disney 100 sets

One of next year‘s sets is a Pixar one, so there‘s a decent chance we‘re getting more classic Disney sets (unless it‘s based on an upcoming film) Also, the sets from the survey leak aren‘t off the table yet!

Jarreth2 Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 @hikouki with the train wreck this live action version seems to be turning in to .. perhaps Lego should have gone with the perfect Lego Ideas submission after all 🙄

I hope TLG does more mid-budget sets like the Up House. That one seemed like the perfect "sweet spot" to me: great display value, desirable minifigures, and great playability for kids--all for $60.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Amazon owning 1/3 of everything (including Lego), a hybrid AppleDisney the next third, and Nestle the rest by then. That covers general goods, technology + media, and food / consumables. All of it run by computers, produced by machines, and delivered by drones. And if they ever merged together, it will become like Buy-N-Large from Wall-E... Edited August 24, 2023 by Murdoch17

Lego Disney business is run by minidolls… minifigs are only allowed to surface for sunlight for a few months every three or so years.

We just had a year filled with minifig sets and there's more on the horizon next year And what about the minifig sets based on The Incredibles II, Toy Story 4, and Lightyear, those don't count?

Don't'cha know that being in 4+ sets is considered punishment in the minifig world, it's thier equivalent of prison.

Don't you know that 4+ is the equivalent of Sunnyside Daycare? It looks all nice and appealing to minifigures as they get to go to excited younger kids, but all they get is either left on the shelf or stuffed up someone's nose.

Some of them do get bought and rescued from the shelves... and end up parted out for parts. War, famine, social injustice, and minidolls in place of minifigs. They are all but facets of the same suffering. LOL
