Good spread of representation across the eras of Disney animation, they're keeping the Pixar down to a minimum (I have Opinions, a'ight), and they seem to have gotten over their fear of standalone characters. Mickey, Oswald, and Stitch will 100% have moulded heads. Robin Hood and Prince John will very likely have ones too. For Baymax, Pinocchio, and Jiminy, it could go either way. The rest will in all likelihood have normal minifig heads

living_off_lego Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 (edited) looking at bricksets review of the brickheads 4 pack, mickey and oswald are really bland, couldve used some dots on mickeys torso or something else, mickey is just a reskin of the original snow white and tink are the best parts, snow whites "shoulderpads" (?), intresting build for tinks bun, and 5/10 set 40 isint worth it, half the charecters can be built with existing parts, shouldve been 30-35 (also drumlaquerd silver 1x4s for the stands are a nice surprise) Edited January 23, 2023 by living_off_lego

The leaked list was confirmed because Promobricks said they had seen some of the finished characters (likely including Stitch) that matched up with the list. That doesn't mean every character in the list is 100% confirmed though so there could still be some surprises.

True, but why would the list only be partially correct? Since we also know a lot of the accessories, somebody must’ve seen pictures, which means it was already too late for changes in the production schedule. Theoretically the informant could’ve confused some characters for others, but that strikes me as very unlikely too, given how distinct they are. The only semi-realistic way was if the informant saw the same minifigs Promobricks did and simply made up the rest of the list. Sure hope not though, this has to be real

Sure hope not though, this has to be real The main reason I'm skeptical is because they also speculated a Snow White set based on no actual proof besides the fact that it seems odd not to include her in the anniversary theme. And a lot of people have taken that mention of Snow White as gospel that we are for sure getting a set with her. It's also possible the 18 figure list was just a preliminary list that could have been cut down later on. That could account for the fact that several of the figures were sighted by Promobricks but not all of them. I don't follow Lego leaks very often so I'm sure the rest of you guys on here are probably more informed than I am. I'm more used to leaks for video games where often there are leaks for tons of characters but only a select few actually end up being made. Edited January 25, 2023 by JeanGreyForever

In the comments someone asked if they had seen any of the Disney 100 stuff. Their reply was that they had and it’s looking to be an amazing line up. None of the CMF minifigures were on display. Same person asked if there were any surprises that haven’t been mentioned before ? Response - Yes, some we weren’t expecting, even after seeing their order forms. They stated they wished they could share more info and obviously will do so when they can. The rooms set out for viewing were only sets due to be released in the second half on this year. interesting 🤔

LOL I really feel like the CMF series are most likely the characters they could not fit into sets they will be releasing, but complement the sets as well. Example, if they release a Snow White cottage, the iconic Evil Queen had to be released but just does not fit the vignette.

Wishful thinking but maybe it's the Fairies Cottage with Briar Rose and Prince Philip so it wouldn't include Sleeping Beauty.

I began to question whether they would really make a Sleeping Beauty castle... apparently Disney only has four 'flagship' castles: 2x Cinderella, Orlando and Tokyo (retired Lego set, and re-made into the current micro-build) 2x Sleeping Beauty, Anaheim and Paris Castle of Magical Dreams, Hong Kong Enchanted Storybook Castle, Shanghai The latter two would mean there would be multiple princesses featured that would duplicate some in the CMF series. And the one in Shanghai is probably too big, anyways. I think the one in Anaheim might be the best size for a good piece count/ price point?

That's what I was thinking that a potential Seven Dwarfs cottage set would feature Snow White, the dwarfs, and the witch to complement the queen. Another option is that since she has both a pink and blue dress, we get one color dress in a set and the other color dress in the CMF series. But I think her being Briar Rose with the owl in the CMF series makes more sense. I would like to get both color dresses though. That being said, I also don't think a Sleeping Beauty set is necessarily a given although I would love a Maleficent dragon set. Even if we get a Sleeping Beauty Castle set based on the parks, there's no guarantee it will feature Aurora or any Sleeping Beauty characters just like how the Cinderella Castle set didn't feature Cinderella. The Hong Kong and Shanghai castles are pretty obscure and not recognizable. The Cinderella Castle from Orlando is completely duplicated in Tokyo but the Paris Sleeping Beauty castle has a completely different design from the Anaheim Sleeping Beauty castle. Personally, I prefer the Paris design and would rather see that but it'll definitely be the iconic Anaheim castle instead. Assuming we do get another castle set from the parks (and I hope we do), it'll definitely be the Anaheim version. I'm also interested if a new castle set might be one of the castles from the movies instead of the parks like how the last D2C Disney set was the Ice Castle from Frozen. It could be any one of these castles/palaces then including Cinderella's palace from the movie which has a completely different look than the Orlando Cinderella Castle.

As you say if there’s a Snow White set ( and it’s a big if ) I imagine it would most certainly feature the old hag, which if a collector wanted to only display the minifigures, the Queen from the CMF would fit in perfectly. @JeanGreyForever I like the idea of yours regarding Aurora, blue dress in a set and pink dress in the CMF .. very nice 👍🏼 and not entirely lego connected, but it made me smile to see that image you posted with the correct colour for Cinderella’s dress 😁 Edited January 26, 2023 by Jarreth2
