I've only had time to read a few paragraphs but it does seem quite interesting!

So let's observe what I've encountered so far:

• A sea chest
• Clothes

Sailors fallen on hard times, frivolous spenders, or mariners forced into the British Royal Navy might own nothing more than the clothes on their back. 

Hmmmm... well that's not quite the gold and doubloons we all imagine but I'll keep reading when  I have more time.
