I always thought that to be a squirrel, since we see the same shape and color figure on the far right side of the image, on top of a tree. And we know that there are squirrels confirmed in the set. I had not heard of any mention of chickens at all. I'll be happy to see some chickens in the set if they add em though. Edited January 30, 2024 by Triceron Quote

I doubt that there will be any stickers, since the only throwback sets to use them have been GWPs (as the number of patterned elements exceeded the sets’ budgets). I'm hoping there's no stickers, and to save budget for torso prints, I like the idea of brick-built tapestry. The Friends Theater has a version for a backdrop featuring the yellow castle! Tiles on a large plate offers many possibilities. I might do that for my Creator Castle regardless. Quote

Thanks!) I don´t think we will, since most of that was a minority complaining towards a detail of the figure compared to the original which in this case doesn´t exist. People will always find something they don´t like though, and for sure we won´t see full positive feedback here. 1 hour ago, Classic_Spaceman said: I am not sure that is likely, since the variety of Minifig torsos in the set is a higher priority than the detail of the printing. What I want an agreement for is no complaining when one of the guards ends up being female! Prelim: 12 Minifigs (two are guards), 19 animals (Horse, cow, calf, goat (2x), sheep (2x), cat, kitten, squirrel (2x), bird (4x), owl (3x), chicken). Where do you see a second goat? 1 hour ago, Classic_Spaceman said: Look on the left side of the prelim. Oh, I'm not expecting universal praise or anything - I'm sure even I might have some critiques - I just don't want three pages of squabbling over the shading of a particular peasant torso, or something minor like that. I'm optimistic and think there will be a lot of good in this set, and I don't want to have to wade through pages of nitpicks to be able to find the positive reactions. 48 minutes ago, Mopasali said: I'm hoping there's no stickers, and to save budget for torso prints, I like the idea of brick-built tapestry. I think some kind of brick-built tapestry is the most likely scenario. One other possibility is that is could be printed in a cloth piece (maybe even the "double cape" hammock piece for something larger), but that could also be expensive and/or not look great. As far as chickens though... I think there's a good chance we will get a couple. The last two peasant-centric sets had chickens, and they're a very common animal overall. I'd gladly trade a couple of other birds to get them - three owls and four small birds feels like a lot. The prelim isn't set in stone after all - things have changed for the other sets that have gotten full reveals. Quote
Sir Dano Posted January 30, 2024 Posted January 30, 2024 Personally I'm keeping my expectations low by expecting most of the figs to have reused torsos from 10305. Quote
Black Falcon Posted January 30, 2024 Posted January 30, 2024 It would surprise me if they would. We will likely see some of them again, but if most of the figures would have that would be a huge disappointement. However it is ofc good to keep expections low and rather get a positive surprise than the other way around. One part I´d rather not see again is the torso from the Troubadour from the CMF that was reused for the Lion Knights Castle´s kid - but it actually is a part that we will very likely see reused for the Jester in the Town Square. The ones from 10320 were a downgrade from the 2015 pirates and 2020 barracuda bay pirates and imperials. Look at Majisto, dude has no prints and even the print from the dragon faction is mediocre. It's sad really. Quote

Dragon Knights the problem IMO is that the old design is just ugly honestly and they try to keep somewhat near to that. Anyways I wouldn´t want to paint a black picture here ;). Quote

GWP is different. There are some GWP that get exclusive prints, but most do not. I wouldn't be surprised if the dragon faction torso gets reused here. Perhaps instead of a new dragon clip, they recolor the dragon mask from the Lunar New Year set? The Lunar New Year sets do get a lot of exclusive prints, but a dragon mask (when there's a CMF version) could work in other themes too. I can't tell if the Lunar New Year mask has a spot to clip a face guard, which could explain the need for a new mold. Quote

Its only 7 days now My expectations for the animals/minifigs is that they have around the same number as in the prelim (not necessarily the same for all of them), the fewer there are under that the more disappointed I will be, on the other hand if there are more or some nice recolors the more happy I will be. They have set the baseline with that prelim so that is what i expect now 12 hours ago, Classic_Spaceman said: Prelim: 12 Minifigs (two are guards), 19 animals (Horse, cow, calf, goat (2x), sheep (2x), cat, kitten, squirrel (2x), bird (4x), owl (3x), chicken). -12 minifigs? A couple of hens would be great to get in the set, after all MVR was the set that included them for the first time alongside the goats. Friends has a hen with a new eye-print this year so that could be included in the set. Even the small birds work rather good as chickens in the set, just not newly hatch ones Quote

The bigger market stall, the outdoor stove, the little well; all would be great additions to the Market Square. The little stable and pig pen are nice too. I really dig the idea of adding side builds to spice up the market. I already have a small armor shop and a peasant cottage (which I made to accompany the LKC). I also got a bunch of the Monkie Kid market stall polybags to make a little market. Now I'm thinking of adding a Travelling Tinker's cart. Still thinking of other small things to add to really make it feel bustling. Quote

Elsa's Market Adventure (41155) has a really simple medieval push cart design with some color. The Winter Village Market and Dreamzzz Village have good market stalls too. Dreamzzz Village is available and affordable (compared to a similar Disney Princess) and the colors aren't too ridiculous for a historical era. Quote
