@BrickJagger, i think you shoul update the name off this thread. Removing “2023/24” and remove “(?)”. And add set number to the name. 

I mean, we already know this set is real and it will not be released in 2023… so it’s time to update!

I would, but I don't think I can! It looks like all I can do is add tags. A moderator seems to have gone in and removed the 2023 but the set number still isn't there.

You can! Jsut go to the very first post and click “edit”. You will see that you can change the name.

I guess that is possible, D2C sets often do not leak and this info leaked in October (if we do not take the prelim into account)..

Makes me think if this is why they released the modular earlier. So that there are not two big AFOL sets being released at the same day? We'll see.

It sounds kinda unlikely to me that the release is that soon - no idea where they got their information from but given none of the leakers stated that date yet and there was an other date around the whole time, I have my doubts about that one.

I'd seen March or April a few months ago, but that seems to have been scrubbed.   This is slated to be slightly more than the Mansion, which I think is the most expensive Jan 1 set right now, and a January release spaces out the expensive sets well. 

But the real question is when D&D is released in time for the 50th anniversary celebrations.  These sets will probably have similar audiences, so I don't think they will release too close to each other.

I'd love to get images in January if nothing else!

I think they released the modular now is because a lot of people want it for x-mas and sales are probably dropping so fewer people can afford it in January these days..
However that means there are a free Icons D2C spot in January and with the early leak of info it probably comes in the first few months of 2024.
As a comparison, how long before the museum was reveled did we get info that is was going to be a museum etc?

The legs, the bag, possibly the hood and surely the goat in another colour.

So everything but the torso and the head should remain exclusive I think.

I was about to say no, but actually I wasn´t able to find it. Might be I was just thinking about the basket they have for the bag.

I am still thinking we will see the legs - but not the torso. We also might see the bag, and maybe the hood - which should be in production anyways, so not really a reuse of him.

The New Year set looks like a modular.  It's my theory why the Modular released early, not MTS-related.

That is not what I meant - I am pretty sure it is a bag, the basked looks different. What I meant was that I first thought that it wouldn´t be new, but after searching for it - and not finding it, I think that I was mixing it up with the basked maybe.

I'd love to see this Jan 1 but don't buy that for a second, I feel like this has too much attention to sneak by that easily - the big leakers would have said something by now. But pictures can't come soon enough!

I'm still holding out hope that it'll have the dragon knight torso in it. I just don't see why they'd make an exclusive torso for a GWP, and a village could have an inn which would be hosting foreign knights...

All of it... well, except the round 1x1 tile... Make that all the rounded pieces used in this CMF.

Pretty sure the bag is just 92590, same as was used for Majisto in the Lion Knights' Castle. It's a very common piece, often used for LEGO City crooks (as a place to stash stolen dollar bills or gold bars) or as a feed bag for animals. I would not be surprised at all to see it in this or other medieval sets, but I wouldn't see it as something all that exciting or special either.
