His version has an open air first floor for one of the buildings.  I like that in the original MMV, but I don't see that in the survey leak.  I hope his vision is closer to what we get!

Maybe, just maybe, LEGO goes old school and gives us a true classic castle design… I predict no prints on figures and no printed shields. That’s right, plain torsos and plain shields with, wait for it, a huge sticker sheet that lets you pick your faction! A true homage to the classic yellow castle. A special thanks to my man Janitor Bob who leaked this wonderful news. Thoughts?

Well first of all it will be a Town Square and not a Castle. And second, they wouldn´t do that. Because they know, that most of the castle fans wouldn´t like to have to use stickers for Torsos even.

And we've gotten to the torture each other phase!  How about it's random blind bags on your faction?  Or some people get goats, others get the Friends line goat!  

Seriously if we're getting so few medieval sets, it would be fun to get a way to customize the set to your faction or allegiances.  Harry Potter theme got enough bricks to color the Magical Trunk for the different houses, so there is precedent.  Just a few different colored flags and enough printed shields that the tower guard have options.  Or have a prisoner that's not a skeleton and then that torso can swap with the tower guard.  (If there is a tax collector and tower, there has to be a debtors prison.)

I can see that something has the same color as the goat there, but if it's a goat, rock or something else I can not tell, there is also some letters added to my photo there so even harder to see, but hope you are right
I see something white there yes that can be a kitten at least. If you are right with all this "background" animals the set or at least the prelim has even more animals than I thought

Majisto got no print from in 10305 and the GWP, and it baffles me because yes indeed the print from the BaM was great and I too use it for my Majisto standing!

Forestmen Hideout got the same prints as the Lion Knights Castle got - and balcktron cruiser they used the print from the original and added an back print to it. Makes one print for the Blacktron Set and maybe one for the forestmen, if we consider they might have used the gwp to safe budget on the main set. Majisto GWP also got one print, so we are even here. And I like that one more than the original one but am not a fan of that one in general - so yeah the torso in the Majisto GWP could have been better but it is pretty much the originals fault.

The BAM print doesn´t look like Majisto at all. I got one for myself because I do like it but it is just not Majisto. And yeah the plain blue Majisto is one of the biggest flaws of the Castle and they should have added a print for the Legs/Skirt Part and it could have been a great figure.

I don't have nostalgia for the 90s Castle sets, but that era's peasant torso (the one Majisto had) is so versatile.  I just got one used in gray, and it works for so many historical eras and for both genders.  Personally, I'd be happy to get that style on different colored torsos for our peasants in MTS.  They can reuse the sand green version from Lion Knights for one peasant, but it does seem odd they couldn't do that print in the blue torso.  Maybe bright blue is too fancy for peasants to reuse here?

The kid's torso, a reuse from the CMF troubadour, might be reused for this jester, but reusing it twice seems to really undermine the exclusivity of the CMF one, especially if we get the forestman's hat again in blue.

I can't wait to see an official reveal.  I'd expect it to be 90% similar to what we saw in the prototype, I don't expect too much to be changed.  It seemed quite complete as a set.

I'm really hoping they pack it with as many easter eggs as we got in the LKC though, especially with tidbits in like in the instructions.  I know the LKC was special for being a 90th anniversary set so they packed more into it than needed, but as a spiritual successor to the Marketplace, Mill Village Raid and possibly even the Guarded Inn, I really hope they toss in some good info in the instructions.

I would actually hope the Mill Village Raid would get its own successor with time since the market seems like a successor to the old marked but not that much to the Mill Village Raid. Sure it has the goat, but aside from that...

I’m so excited for the minifigures, but it’s hard to know what to expect!

I imagine the designs will be heavily influenced by the style of figs in the original Medieval Market Village (10193). A remake of the generic tan/brown peasant torso seems almost certain.

I’m not expecting much in the way of additional leg, arm, or dress printing., although it remains an outside possibility.

In terms of how many figs might be repeats from other recent sets (such as LKC): I think my benchmark for success would be 50% new figs and 50% repeats. Anything over 50% new fig designs would be fabulous.

As this set seems intended to pair directly with the LKC, I wonder if this might encourage TLG to limit the number of duplicate figures across the two sets? The designers of the new Eldorado Fortress certainly took that approach when considering compatibility with with PoBB.

Would be great, if this sell a lot that makes sense for Lego to go there, more like a medieval farm set then a village maybe

They will probably reuse some parts from the goathearder CMF as well..

Most sets do not get teasers, but this should be perfect for it..

It seems like it will get a marketing push, so I hope so!  Not all sets get officially revealed 1 month out, and I think all by itself.  Snow White's Cottage is the other expensive March set, but I don't think they'll be announced the same day, although they may go well together.  I hope it is a goat in the reveal, maybe standing on one of the roofs while the townspeople below look for him?

Looking back on it now, I feel that LEGO is taking the liberty to literally pursue the “retro” look of their classic sets by literally giving us the basic sets. Quite honestly after having a version of Majisto through out the years and going up all way to the Kingdoms and Castle to the 10305 and this GWP as a massive downgrade, I seriously feel that the BAM torso with the kingdom pants or skirt is the best version they could had given us. 

The 2015 imperials were excellent, even their print but considering they were new sets I can understand why they went all out. The El Dorado fortress icon sets was a reimagining of it and this is why we get no printing on the shako hats, since the original figs didn’t have it either. Like you mentioned the GWP i could understand why it had no print, but the lion knight castle and the lack of prints on the armor and some torso was the prime example that something’s up. We got some sweet fabric banners AND shields hehe though.

They already released and teased some figures from that Snow White set!!! Though, we already got a peek at a few dwarves! Lego slacking on the MTS haha

I think the dwarves have all been unofficial leaks though, so I wouldn't consider any of those official "releases." That, and it's probably more likely that those would be teased early by leakers anyways - more likely to get more clicks and generate more buzz from a well-known IP over "peasant #3" or whatnot.

I do hope that we get a tease on Monday or Tuesday though! We got one for Eldorado, so there's a chance we could get one for this set as well. Probably something goat-centric...
