You asked if the LKC is true to it's original version.  The LKC is a new set just with easter eggs within the set to other older lego sets like the little yellow castle the kid is playing with and somethings like the black trees etc.

Not sure if there's someone who follows these things more closely than me that might know, but is it likely that the wolf pack minifigure parts are likely to come to bricks and pieces? And if so, any idea how long this usually takes after a set has been released? Cheers!

Usually a non-exclusive sets' parts (minifig parts too) come at some point to PAB. I'd say 3-6 months after the set goes to retail.

No doubt about that. Usually I like to wait a bit before ordering minifig parts/accessoires until its fairly sure no new set comes out with the same minifig prints.

I would say it might take till end of the year before they are avaiable without selling out right away. But also possible they are moved to bestsellers faster then it is possible that happens already a bit earlier.

One of the Pick a Brick developers posts to on Reddit on r/legocastles and r/lego, he confirmed that it usually takes 5-6 months for stuff to become available.  There's a 100% chance the Wolfpack torso will be available, Lego will make a ton of money from people army building it, and they're not going to pass up that chance.  As others mentioned, expect it to sell out quickly for the first couple months, then it'll be in stock more often as time goes on.

I picked up this set for birthday, and have now finished the first booklet (Carpenter/Weaver/Cheesemonger side) across two relaxed evenings of building. I'll save the other half for a week or so.

It's pretty top notch, without being anything stunning. Like there's no techniques as per the LKC where I've been blown away or inspired - but there is just a lot of very solid thoughts and design put in. Small things like the trapdoor to the loft, or the detail in the side-builds are perfectly clever. I am most impressed by the compact scaling of the whole thing. As with the LKC, they have achieved a feel of larger scale by keeping it small.

Like with the LKC, I feel its *just* a little too small. This time, while progressing on the build, I added the for me necessary space and features: closing up the open rooms of the inn and knights' room, making the carpenter tower 2 studs wider and adding wood tiles to the roof, adding 6 studs to the width of the inn/painter 'block', incorporating 2 staircases in the inn, making the entrance stair of the guard tower a stud wider and an easier slope, fixing a ladder in the tower and making the top wider so there's a crawl whole to enter the platform. Even the shield painter now has a sort of exit when the block is closed

Apparently the HP ones on the ship are stickers, but I'm hoping not.  They're really good designs!

They are all stickers. Reviews have comfirmed that.

I thought as much; they looked like stickers. At least we get a new colour for plain triangle shields (dark bley).
