Posted July 7, 200816 yr I was pondering earlier that there aren't nearly enough people represented in the exo-force line if the human resistance was just made up of the heroes plus gate guard then all the robots would need to do would be attack en masse. Given this what do folks think was actually going on? Personally I'm inclined to think that there where other more mundane exo-force units manning more mundane mecha, the guys we see are simply the creme de la creme of the exo-force.
July 7, 200816 yr I agree, but I guess this happens in many themes, it did in the Castle version of Exo-Force, Knights Kingdom 2. Just main characters, and not many others... It's sad, really :skull:
July 7, 200816 yr I really try not to pay attention to the official story and pretense, since its just silly. They're focusing on 6characters instead of a bigger picture cause its gives the kids some characters to identify with. If ya really want to think about it... I'd say that the 'evil robots' probably aren't so simplistic. Carefully reading of the background mentions they were all originally mining robots and laborers; and that at some point a single robot (mecha1) became intelligent and decided to win his freedom (they describe this as a malfunction in the human storyline's point of view). They kinda glossed over this sort of stuff in favor of the small scale character development tho... And your point earlier... of why the Robots don't simply attack all at once... well going with the idea that they're not just 'evil robots' I'd suspect they don't actually care to wipe the humans out, only to keep them from being too much a bother when they intrude. Most of the robots off-screen are probably going about doing normal robot life things other than war... Think of the MOCS... ?robot market street, robot movie theater, robot fire station? etc...
July 8, 200816 yr Indeed, they are too few. But what really surprises me is that the robots keep concentrating on the other side of the mountain: why don't they just crawl dow those rocks and conquer the rest of the world ? I think we'll never understand them LuxorV

But I envisioned the world of EF to be totally destroyed except the Sentai Mountain.

July 8, 200816 yr Really? Man the official storyline was even dumber than I thought... No, just meant for a different audience. The wonderful thing about LEGO is that the official storyline, when there is one, is only a suggestion, a possibility. They aren't always the most complicated or brilliant, because honestly, they're aimed at the younger fan who might not be ready to create an entire universe of their own. So here's what you do... buy up a bunch of Exo-Force sets and swap out the heads for other figures. Mix the hair around. Maybe throw in some Star Wars figures, or old Rock Raiders. Then use all the other parts to make completely new mechs and build an entire army to finally defeat those pesky robots. But wait! Maybe you want the robots to win! So, buy up a bunch of sets and build new mechs for them, then swarm the mountain, wipe out the pesky humans and start a new robot society. Or... just maybe you'd like the war to never end. Buy up tons and tons of sets. Send scouts out to discover new, safe mountains, expand the battlefield! Give the robots a mountain. Put some civilian humans somewhere. Turn it into a new Castle, Exo-Force style! Then connect the human mountains with a huge futuristic train and let the robots attack it on mechanical horses, wild west style! See how that works? Buy enough, and you can do almost anything.
July 8, 200816 yr Damn, you HAD to do that, hadn´t you?Now I´m even more sad that EF stopped. Well, you're already working to expand it, right? So, keep it up ...and don't forget to show us what you come up with next LuxorV
July 9, 200816 yr Well, right now my very best MOC ever is close to be finished. And although my wife is developing it, it keeps me busy all the time, too And this means: No Lego creations until further notice from me ...
July 9, 200816 yr Author Well, right now my very best MOC ever is close to be finished. And although my wife is developing it, it keeps me busy all the time, too And this means: No Lego creations until further notice from me ... I've been working on a bunch of exo-inspired mecha but alas due to a brick shortage on my part none of them have yet to leave the LDD. Still I should have a few new exo spods arriving in the post at the end of the week including Hitomi (hurrah!). Chrissy

I think we'll never understand them LuxorV Perhaps they already have ;) Anyway, i think that there were other shipments of the defective 'droids shipped elsewhere in the world before Sensei Keiken noticed the flaw (that a leader unit (i.e: Meca one) could remotely cause the 'droids to go haywire) in their design.
