Versteinert Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Unfortunately, the second half of last year was nearly LEGO-free time for me. Despite all hopes I had even less time than usual. But after almost one year I'm now able to present you my alternate build for the LEGO 10297 Boutique Hotel - the Antique Store. As always, I tried to build something as different to the original set as possible. On the ground floor on the right there is the antique store that gives the building its name - with a few antiques and with stairs up to the first floor, where the antique store extends further over the entire floor. From here there are also stairs to the second floor, where there is a small apartment with a kitchen, bathroom, bed, couch and a table with some chairs. Each of the two upper floors also has a balcony. Additionally, on the ground floor on the left there is a travel agency. What do you think about it? What can I do better next time? As always, building instructions are available at rebrickable: https://reb.li/m/137582 Antique Store - LEGO 10297 Alternate by Versteinert, auf Flickr Quote
finnbricker Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 Wow! This looks really nice and well thought-out. It could easily be an official set. I especially like the rounded window-walls on the ground floor of the tan-coloured bulding and the wrought-iron balconies. Quote
Maple Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 It could easily be a real set. I actually like it more than the Jazz Club. I'm even more impressed by the back of it is super detailed. Quote

Yes, these are also two of my favorite details ;) 21 hours ago, Maple said: It could easily be a real set. I actually like it more than the Jazz Club. The Jazz Club has many nice details, inside and outside. Nevertheless I don't like its look much. As soon as I find the time I will try an alternate building of it, too. I'm already afraid of the colors ;) Quote
A_Forest_of_Lego Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 It looks great! I love the interior! Quote

The interior of the original LEGO modular buildings feature more details to explore and they are more like one whole thing with details matched to each other. Quote
