2024 LEGO SPEED CHAMPIONS MUSTANG DARK HORSE | #76920 (youtube.com)

Mustang is here. I checked the build steps, and have to admit that I was correct in ~86% of my proposals for this model (see below).
It was a nice surprise to know that TLG really used new 2x6 brackets for "doors", angled bar+plates for headlights (my proposal was for yellow, but TLG used transparent ones), and bar-and-clip for the hood assembly mount.

OK, the image is here, getting ready for new parts and let's go Studio-ing...

Here is the comparison of my reverse-engineered model (right side) and the official set made by TLG (left side):

@kbalage, thank you for this review!

May I ask you for a little time in coming BMW review (I bet it will be longer due to two cars in the set) to show how these new amazing wheels compatible with wheel covers (pre-molded spoked covers and printed tiles and dishes) from other SC sets?
I beleive they will fit better than original wheels to Corvette and Challenger, for example...

@Void_S which printed tiles/dishes you mean? The 2x2 dish fits as you see on the McLaren F1 car, you mean the one from the old F1 Mercedes? I can try some spoked covers on of course.

I mean printed ones, with "spokes" on thrm, like were used for classic Corvette and Challenger '70. They had nice covers but the wheels themself had too low tires, and that ruined their look. I wonder if these new wheels may correct it

Here are some variations. The first one doesn't fit, the second is too small, the 3rd and 4th are ok:

Thank you, my question is fully answered now

1) these new wheels doesn't improve the overall look as best as I wanted, but still are aweersome.

2) they provide a lot of opportunities for printed 2*2 dishes now.

Whait, what? A "fat tire cover" attached to the "fat tire wheel"? @kbalage, I like your sence of humour)))

Good to see that the new slicks are compatible with the printed Pirelli inserts, as the W12 can then be upgraded to slick tires while retaining the original teal/blue-printed inserts.

Love your channel by the way. Keep up the great work!

Next round of Sticker Speed Champions:

7:32 maybe it's related with new windscreen colour? Because new windscreen is a little bluish and when we'll put white prints they'll turn into light blue and red turns into violet.

There is white and blue printed on it, the only missing color is red. Stickers add red, white and blue, but as they are transparent, their color is dull, actually blue is worse than the printed version.

Do you think there's a max number of colours they can print on a given piece? Similar to the Chrome logo sticker put on the printed wedge in the McLaren F1 set

The only color missing was red. We had windshields for SC sets in the past with 4 or maybe even more colors, like the Corvette or the Lamborghini.

I think, the logic was to keep the windhsield "symmetrical" and allow the builders to decide if they wasnted or not to add the stickers.
Did you notice the "accidential" inclusions of remainng pairs of new wedge tiles and slopes? In total, BMW set should have more or less symmetrical parts (all have their left-right pairs of the same color).

This is wonderful news. I was worried about being stuck with odd sides then waiting months/years for the other side to become available as has happened before. Briefly saw some of the twinned tiles were tucked deep in the builds, that's nice... Do the LMP's 4x1 cut-tip slopes have their pairs hidden somewhere? (upper surfaces above the headlights, black-left white-right)

Those are wedges (I know, almost every time I'm searching for them I'm starting with slopes first :D) in 76919 we have 2 black for each side and 2 orange for each side, in 76922 1 white for each side and one black for each side.

so far, looking at list of pieces from 76919 and 76922 we have

new wedges:
2x2
1x4

new tiles:
1x2

new slope:
1x2 - similar to 61409 but full instead of slots

I've extracted parts lists from kbalage videos:

76919

76922
320x180.jpg

I'm still hoping that at some point they will give us separated 11291 (with removed 1x2 plate from inside) or any other slopes/wedges that are 2 plates high.

What about 6475339 (Brick 1x2 with 1 central stud on side)? Isn't it new part?

New 6439175 (corner) is also new at least in Speed Champions.

6458186 (6 stud bracket) all new one piece.

6442317 (tile modified 2 x 4 inverted) is one of the newest part an new in SC.

And don't forget about new slicks!

It already existed - maybe it's new for sc.

Not new (I was considering parts as a whole from all sets, not only sc).

Forgot about this parts, yeah, thanks for mentioning it.

The biggest surprise of the new wave for me so far:

Yes, this set also took my attention from the 1st minutes when I heard  about it, and then when saw the preliminary images:

  1. F1 McLaren was "heh, one more F1 car, new colors and new slopes may be...", and I was nicely surprised.
  2. BMW was like "Well, its a nice puzzle how they made the grill"
  3. and Mustang had a really wow effect: "How do they sculpt it ALL?". Grill, headlights, taillights, exhaust - all were on the edge between "impossible" and "still, somehow they managed to make it".
I fully and positively admire the designer who made it, who had such a crazy mind to dare such techniques
