CapOnBOBS Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 The central location of Nola Mar along the East - West trade routes made it a logical location for refining the silver ore mined in the far corners of the empire. RNTC has built a large factory for just this purpose. Raw ore is brought in, in large buckets. In a double coal fired furnace, the impurities are burned away, the pure silver is then poured into molds. The slanted roof provides high ceilings, ventilation, and plenty of sunlight for the quality control and marking of the ingots. Smiths check the ingots for imperfections and then mark each after they have cooled in the cooling racks. The finished ingots are loaded into chests for onward movement to local artisans, as payment for RNTC and Crown affairs, or loaded on ships trade across the Brick Seas. Security is high for obvious reasons. Quote
Thomas Waagenaar Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 Excellent looking factory! And the security is definitely understandable! Is it for intruders or to watch the employees not stealing anything though? :P Quote
Jeff of Clubs Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 Oh fun! Well done! I love the slanted roof there. The interior is excellent and sensible too! This is a good use of a monopoly. Glad the RNTC is still chugging. Quote
Spud The Viking Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 A nice looking factory, perhaps a little too clean for my liking. Always glad to see more refineries and industry in BotBS! Quote
NOD Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 Very nice factory. I like the details inside like the melting of the silver very much. One of the workers looks like Captain Redbeard. Is he scouting the factory? Quote
LM71Blackbird Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 Well done! Nice job on showing the process and packaging! Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 Fine, fine. You are quite productive these days Quote
A_Forest_of_Lego Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 Great build! I love the roof! Quote
