You cannot push that axle more in, it's a 4L axle with stop but there are only 3.5 modules of "layers" used below it with the connector, the panel, the gear and the half bush.

Then that makes no sense whatsoever. Why not use a 3L axle?

I guess they wanted to prevent the gear sliding off the axle, so you need to have the stop at the end. But the 3L/4L axles with stop have the stop section also included in their full length, so you cannot fit another half bush below the stop without having a slightly less secure connection on the other end. Guess that was the compromise choosen, a weird look instead of a HoG that can be pulled out easily during steering.

No-win scenario, then.

Still a buy for me :-)

What would really help for pneumatic would be an 90° angled part: 1 end with pneumatic v2 male end, the other with a female end with rubber insert (no pun intended) in the size of the T-shape connector.

This would prevent the "sticking out" of rubber hoses and give way more room for playability.

Funny that Sariel brings up the Xerion, seeing as it's the set I'd use as a point of comparison here. The price for the Deere (insert 'dear' joke here) is a major consideration, seeing as I bought 42054 for around £90, and that comes with a log, and an alternate build - sure, it's not a full B-model, but still. Plus the rotating seat works better!

Thinker, this one. Real thinker.

Here's a pupper. 🐕

The more I see it the more I want it! One small and kinda obvious tip to make fitting the hoses easier, wash your hands right before a big hose fitting session, it makes it much easier to grip the hoses and especially the little T-pieces where there isn't much room for fat adult fingers, and don't wear gloves! :snicker:

One question I've been pondering - why are the T-pieces white now?

Perhaps they are used in Mars vehicle?

Maybe to distinguishing them from the grey hoses.

Hello everyone, this is Balazs from Racing Brick.

I've always loved your reviews but this one tops the lot - I actually watched it a second time 'cause it was like listening to a story

They appeared in both white and LBG in recent sets so it might be a simple choice of the designer.

Don't get why TLG still has no generic forest/construction/whatever machine rims to fit existing tires! I can't see those sporty six spoke JDM race wheels anymore!! :wall:

I was actually quietly hopeful that we'd get new forestry tyres with this set. Something like the power puller tyres, but with the newer agro tread.

The CLAAS tyres are already pretty close though, doubt TLC would think it worth the effort

You mean you wouldn't want to have cool JDM wheels on constuction equipment in real life if it was an option? I would if I didn't have to factor in real world conditions with physics, wear/tear and all that boring stuff. :)

Some 107mm diamerer and perhaps soffer material would be ideal, but TLC has their own ideas (reducing costs)
