July 8, 200816 yr If you really want to treat yourself, you could try getting the Skull's Eye Schooner.

July 8, 200816 yr What do you mean by "pirate things"? Loose parts or sets (or even both)? What type of sets do you like (ships, fortresses etc.)? or what do you want to build (with loose parts, a ship, a jungle, etc.)? Budget? And getting a 6286 - SES wouldn't be a waste, it is one of the best pirate sets ever (next to 6285 - BSB)

So It seems alot of Money

Happy Clone Wars sets release date birthday in advance I would suggest you could get some Islander sets like the cove set (I can't remember the item number or name, sorry)
July 8, 200816 yr Well I would like a Box of Pirate Lego to start off a Harbour and some Fortress to Protect from a Pirate ship. So It seems alot of Money For a harbour, 6277 - Imperial Trading Post would be a very nice start (+it can serve as a fortress/defensive structure if you add some more cannons, battlements and guards), allthought it is one of the most expensive pirate sets. For a pirate ship, if you don't have a big budget, go for 6268 - Renegade Runner, it's a cheap and nice little ship, but if you want something bigger, the 6289/6290 - Red Beard Runner can still be found fairly cheap for its size I think. If you have a good budget you should definately go for 6285 - BSB or 6286 - SES (6285 is a fair amount cheaper, but still roughly the same size, and even better looking according to most people).
July 9, 200816 yr I would highly recommend the 6285 Black Seas Barracuda for sheer playability. It has two storage areas (fore and aft) as well as 4 trap doors + 2 little red doors for access, plus the captains cabin, and it's absolutely gorgeous. It's loaded with an incredible amount of details you just don't know about until you actually build the set. For example, it has 4 small arch windows for looking out of the storage areas, 1x4x1 lattice pieces in the cannon area for holding the little cannonballs, a kind of breakfast tray/window for the cabin and lots of walking space (it's MUCH wider than it looks in pictures). The Skulls Eye Schooner is very nice, but it doesn't have that classy wooden 'high-seas' sailing ship feel. It's more of a cannon tub with 4 cannon ports on each side, and it lacks a cabin. It really depends whether you want a classy pirate ship or a fast and rough attack ship :)
