Is anyone going to get that tricorn piece off of PAB online for their redcoats? Was interested in what others had to say.

I'll get it for sure! There was one with redish brown hair in a Disney Book set. Hope they both will eventually show up at PAB online. Fingers crossed.

I'll probably grab a couple if they show up on PAB but it would be even better if they put them in the BAM towers.  Dual molded parts are pricey so I tend to grab the ones that show up in BAM rather than the generic hair & leg pieces that are way cheaper from PAB.

Nay.  But definitely for my blue coats :pir-grin:

Brick Clicker confirms the July 4th release date in his latest video, but otherwise no new info. As far as I know he's pretty reliable.

How is that a confirmation?  He's just repeating the details which have been floating around since April 2.

The Lion Knights Castle was announced on June 18. So if the release dates are the same, we probably still have a couple weeks before the announcement, and it's likely that Lego took measures to prevent leaks this time around. There are also rumors of a Majisto GWP. I bet it's coming later this month, coinciding with the announcement... because you know there's no way they'll give us a good GWP at the same time a classic set is released. That's the way it works. :monkey:

Maybe you haven't been following the topic but the announcement is allegedly on June 15.

Yes. However, repeating the details so close to the alleged release date is hopefully (!) a good sign given the reliability of that leaker.

Still blows my mind how tight lipped this set has been when it comes to being leaked. the info is out there but usually there’s blurred images of it somewhere.  I’m excited either way!!

Ok, I'll go post them on the Eurobricks frontpage to increase the reliability of Eurobricks on such information...

Go ahead. I don‘t see why we have to argue about who confirmed what/ when. I think it should be clear to everyone that still this all is nothing but speculation and nothing is confirmed. People are just excited, it‘s normal :)

There is no argument here...  I'm just nitpicking the way certain words are used  - like "confirmed" (in specific reference to this post)

Indeed, hence my nitpicking to ensure the interpretation of what's actually happening is not obfuscated.

And it's intended in a very loving, lighthearted way... which probably doesn't translate well in text.:pir-grin:

Honestly, with Lego always waiting for the very last moment i already start to loose interest. My plan is now, if the Eldorado minifigures are not good, i'll buy the Temple of the golden Idol and the Hogwards Express & Hogsmeade Station instead.

How could they not be good ? We are talking about imperials ! :pir-huzzah2:

I'm also excited to see what it looks like. I sincerely hope there are no stickers and that it is packed in a beautiful classic box.

Personally i am not very much interested in soldiers. Most important for me are civilian minifigures and to a lesser extend pirates. But the chance is high, (some of) the pirates (and civilians) will have yellow necklines and that makes them unusable for me. I'd prefer minifigures with designs like in the licensed themes, like PotC, LotR, Indiany Jones, SW,...

Licensed themes suck! Especially Harry Potter and Starwars. Starwars is just plain ugly. Boring ugly blobs of grey and tan. The only skin toned minifig I have, is Jack Sparrow. But nothing beats good old classic yellow minifigs. Yes I am a yellow minifig supremacist. Skin toned minifigs are inferior to me! And I hope they all have yellow neck lines! Hahaha!

I really hope they redesign the pirates. The recent ones look really cartoonish. I hate the new bandanas and the minifigure skull.

What is wrong with a minifigure skull?

I'm talking about the new jolly roger they've been putting on the flags and hats recently. They look ridiculously babyish.

While i had only yellow yellow minifigures as a kid i don't suffer from nostalgia and have a box of never-use Lego where all those yellow heads, hands and torsos with yellow necklines go

It's definitely grown on me and makes more sense than a regular one.

Yeah, it's always felt a bit odd to me when graphic designs in themes that use minifigs have "human" features instead of minifig-inspired ones. That's also something I prefer about recent City sets' pedestrian crossing and road work signs compared to the ones I grew up with in the 90s — they use a minifig silhouette instead of a human silhouette.

There's always some room for creative license when dealing with stylized imagery, of course! For example, the Black Falcon coat-of-arms isn't an exact likeness of any type of LEGO bird, but real animal heraldry was rarely an exact likeness of the animals it depicted, either. Even the Jolly Roger pattern from old-school Pirates sets (which is more or less accurate to a minifig skull's facial features aside from the outline) has aged far better than some other graphic designs from sets of my childhood, like the unmistakable five-fingered human handprints that appeared on Jailbreak Joe's arrest paperwork, and on one of the horses from the Wild West sets.

But I still slightly prefer the more LEGO-like skull and bone shapes from newer sets' Jolly Roger patterns. The small changes do a lot to help make it recognizable as not just a pirate flag, but a LEGO pirate flag. It's a detail that I also always appreciate about LEGO flags featuring cannons or cutlasses that clearly resemble their LEGO counterparts. It just helps the world that these graphics appear in feel a little more cohesive.
