TalonCard Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 On that note, I gotta put in my usual appreciation for the Metalbeard pirate hat--they went full minifig on it and I actually prefer it to the 2009/2020 hats.

I never was too fond of the 2009 version, but I think I like it more than the 2015 version. And then there is the Jack stone Pirate ones, which honestly aren't bad. I actually like them more than the 200 and 2015 ones. Looking forward to this set, I do believe it is coming, and am putting some money aside to get it. EKnight
TeriXeri Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 (edited) I don't mind the current minifig approach to the skull flags, or things like x-ray minifig bones sticker artwork in hospital sets, or more minifig inspired traffic signs/billboards. Ninjago did use different skeleton heads for skulkin or skull dungeons, as well as a different ribcage, but the standard basic skeleton is pretty much the same still, so the flat top head makes sense in that case. The ninjago skull also had limitations on what hats could fit on it, it worked for the samurai helmets but many standard Pirates/Castle helmets don't fit. Edited June 6, 2023 by TeriXeri

eldiano Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 (edited) I'm starting to panic because even last year we got a sneak peak of the castle even in the prototype stages by this time, even though the official announcement was mid-June, still, they whetted our appetites, so far just watching videos of Lego leaks, we already getting sets from September, even from the icon's lineup. Not even magazine leaks. I'm just thinking that LEGO likes to play these ones close to the chest or there's no expectations for this set that nobodies that interested in these. We are even getting sneak peaks from Disney the TV Show ahsoka and that's saying something. lolol the suspense is killing me! Edited June 7, 2023 by eldiano

The original leaker is a Starwars fan and maybe he didn't pay really attention to other themes. Lego is only interested where the big money is : Harry Potter and ugly Starwars with their ugly grey vehicules. The millennium Falcon is just a grey hamburger and the AT AT is a bunker with legs.The AT ST is just a grey klunky chicken. While I am no fan of Lord of the Rings, I have to admit : Rivendell is beautiful.

I've never seen any of the LotR movies nor did i read the books but the set is simply the most beautiful set of the year for me. I doubt anything can top it in the second half of the year. Stop panicking There’s no doom and gloom, I’m just thinking how LEGO handles leaks with OG lines incredibly iron clad haha Makes the imagination go wild!

Ceo of Lego will have to call me to confirm release of remaster Eldorado Fortress. Only then I will be convinced. Not some rumours from a random leaker and Starwars lover who has absolutely no knowledge about classic Lego from the eighties. I was 9 when the first Pirate wave released and I have them all ! Oh yeah. Next year Lego will release a gigantic Harry Potter and Starwars set. Now I am a leaker too. I am pretty sure this is accurate because Lego ALLWAYS releases big licensed themes.
