Posted March 2, 20231 yr Hello all, I couldn’t find a thread on display cases or wall mounts so thought I’d ask here. I know @kbalage has reviewed some wall mounts for the supercars but they’re very expensive. Have other people used any other brands to display theirs ? I’ve seen a company called Unique Display here in the U.K. but not seen any reviews
March 2, 20231 yr I would by something like this https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/cat/bookcases-shelving-units-st002/?filters=f-doors%3A47662 so I can use them also later :)
March 2, 20231 yr Yeah I just have 2 white bookshelves, 28cm deep and 75cm wide shelves. I have models on around half the shelves and books on the others. The 1:8 cars fit perfectly and they were pretty cheap.

March 2, 20231 yr Author But has anyone used any wall mounts for displaying the cars? I don’t have space for bookshelves but wall mounts could potentially work
March 2, 20231 yr These have been all the rage lately: https://www.fantasmall.com/products/wallmount-lego-technic-green?variant=43085749780724&currency=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&gclid=CjwKCAiAr4GgBhBFEiwAgwORrVfU8XfS0r0CFqZ_VVo11AetjzoSvGKWK0qwci72fvt6v3O6yjihHRoCqJ4QAvD_BwE though they are a bit expensive. There are really endless options if you just look up Lego wall mounts online
March 2, 20231 yr Author I’ve been looking at these but wondered if anyone had any experience? As much experience as to what it means to the Technic set displaying them like this long term https://uniquedisplay.co.uk/collections/wall-displays-for-lego-technic/products/wall-display-for-lego®-technic-42115-lamborghini-sian-pdw-02
March 2, 20231 yr I use three of these billy shelfs with these doors in my lego man cave. Dust is still an issue.

These are made by @vinkie_116 on Instagram using a wooden plank painted in the car’s respective color. Then they are hung by using these “panels” used for the Lego Art series.

Not trying to overpromote or anything but I have a Lego room in which I have several Technic sets either hanging on walls (mount is something I made myself) or I use the idisplayit floor mounts which still place models at odd angles. https://www.idisplayit.co.uk/ I take things off the mounts every now and then and inspect for any separated elements, damage, bending, etc. I have not encountered any yet. Things have been hanging for years. see U-wing (Technic build) in upper right Even official Lego SW UCS sets come with stands, that, I get it are not the same as a vertical hanging, but still have a lot of stress when off surface, positioned horizontally. I assume it is all okay.
March 2, 20231 yr i don't have alot of Technic but i do have displays for all my lego cars and MOCs. i got them from ikea and they are really good
March 5, 20231 yr If you are good with DIY, I saw this video. I think they look really good. homemade cases
March 5, 20231 yr I wanted to display the UCS millennium falcon on my wall, so I added some beams to the inner structure that hang out the bottom and make a wall hook (also out of Lego) and just hung it there, it's been there for 3 years, definitely the cheapest solution but it's a pain to dust! I am very tempted to make a plexiglass cover or something. It's pretty easy to cut and smooth the edges to a professional looking finish with a plane and scrapers (the edge of a metal rule makes a nice scraper btw).
