This is my entry to the "Life of Cedrica" contest: Cedrica Outer Port Office

At the entrance to Cedrica´s harbor is a small island, which is completely built up by a Port Office.

Many ships stop here to be guided by the pilot the last stretch to the main port.

Entering the quay is Seigurd of Updale in his small cog, to clear his cargo at the port office.

In his office, the port manager keeps a log of incoming cargo.

Wow, stunning build!  I love that you have a nice variety of color here and it all works, particularly the way you have it blocked.  The dark grey near the water has a nice wet appearance, and I love the waterline marked with olive green growth. The way you have staged the height is visually appealing and helps move the eye from place to place.  The seagulls are great, and the peregrine falcon looks fantastic.  First time I have seen those ingot pieces used as arrow loops, and they look nice.  The interior is beautiful (love the bookshelf) and the rooflines are nice. I think my favorite aspect is the brick built ship, which is gorgeous. Really well proportioned and designed.  Outstanding!

Thanks for your serious feedback, Grover. I  appreciate you took your time to so nicely comment on my build.

Great variety of colors and heights on these buildings!  I also really like how you included a small ship, and of course you can't beat having a falcon perched on that crane, nice touch!

Great build! I'm really enjoying seeing people cover all the different sections of Cedrica, it makes sense that the capital would have a thriving port. The brick built cargo ship looks great, and like W Navarre mentioned, I really like the first picture, it really shows off all the different colored tudor sections jutting out at different heights and angles. I do have one suggestion for future tudor buildings, I think they would look better with some sort of offset. For example having the wooden beams stick out 1 plate further, or setting the inner parts in with a jumper plate. I think it adds a lot texture rather than having it all at the same level. Also nice work on the interior ( The port master seems a little grumpy though

I quite like the tall tudor structure style you went with as opposed to relying mainly on masonry. It reminds me of German tudor houses.
Plus a very cool ship which makes a great addition to the scene.

Great job building the buildings out over the water and walkway.  All the windows and doorways are great.  The interior scene is composed well.

Love those half timbered houses, especially from the side where they go up. Also a well built ship, and a nice choice of have a larger part of water while still have a building as centerpiece!
