Lasse Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 In 2018 I visited the historic city of Bukhara in Uzbekistan in Central Asia. It inspired me to build this LEGO creation. 500 years ago, Bukhara was an important trading center on the Silk Road. The old town is very well preserved and many of the old buildings still look as they did 500 years ago. The Kalyan Minaret was built in 1127. The Mir-i-Arab Madrasah was built in 1536. 1963maniac Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 This is grand! The tower is awesome and the minifigs are dressed realistically. Very cool! Where did you get those camels and in that color? Quote

The Undo Posted March 18, 2023 Posted March 18, 2023 This MOC is one of a kind. Looks like a real thing. Beautiful work! Quote
Ced72 Posted March 19, 2023 Posted March 19, 2023 It's a beautiful work !!! I really like the technique you used for the minaret, and I'm planning to use it for an old windmill, lower but wider, any idea for the number of parts you needed for the base ? And a description of which parts ? (except 35480 ;) Quote
tezukababe Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 This MOC is beautiful! Uzbek architecture is deeply underrated and it's always refreshing to see a set of a locale like this. If you ever decide to sell or share the instructions, I would love to build it myself! Quote
_TLG_ Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 Awesome build, I like the circular tower especially! Quote
