Ecclesiastes Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 . Throughout Cedrica there are Forums located. Here people can discuss all kinds of problems regarding the city with City Officials. Noisy neighbors, discussing a public feast, complaining about clogged drains, you name it. It also serves as a court for small crimes like peeing in the river. The location of this forum is one with historical value. When Revolword unleashed his elemental creatures these two "Sister" towers were a safe haven for many. The tree that grows out of the building is a still visible reminiscent of that period. It grew out of a slain elemental. Left: Small hostel kitchen. Grover Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Wow, that ballista is top notch! Really awesome. The whole build is great. I like how you made it so it comes apart, and some of the great textures you have in the windows from the various decorative bricks you use in there. The dark grey is an interesting choice, but I think you chose some good colors to go with it, many of the more muted tones, so it works. I like the winery storage with the samples of various 'grapes' on the table! The public forum with disgruntled townsfolk is also superb. One suggestion I might have, since I have done the same thing in some of my builds and tend to notice it, is to have the vines (the olive 3 leaf plants) a little more densely packed to make them appear more connected, but this is kind of minor. It's great to see you building and posting these great Cedrica builds. Nice job! Quote
Gideon Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Impressive build! I'm amazed at how much details you've managed to fit on such a fairly limited footprint Great detail too with a direct connection back to Book I, well done!! Quote
W Navarre Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Way to go showing an impressive height! I really like the light grey pizza tiles garnish, and the crossbow is awesome, I wouldn't want to be an enemy in range of that tower! Quote
Kai NRG Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 This has some pretty cool, almost gothic vibes, I love how it gets progressively more fortress-like as you go up, until you reach the crossbow. And I also love how you've taken this concept to town and built several modules! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 Another super impressive addition to your growing layout! The sheer height is incredible, especially since you included so many details with different wooden additions, vines, and decorative stone patterns. The tree growing through a tower is a neat and unique addition, and makes great use of those tube elements for the trunk Great roof setup for the bley building, and I also like the gallery looking section on the top floor Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 Three words come to mind: beautiful, sophisticated and charming! The tree trunk that runs through the structure of the tower is wonderful...it's like nothing I've ever seen before! The obsessive research of the furnishings and the choices of the characters ... all very sweet! Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 Hi Ecclesiastes - fine build with so many details (e.g. roofs). Great! Quote
Krol Zmija Sebastian Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 Spooky looking statues. Nice street made of them modules. Quote
jtooker Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Awesome towering module! I really like both the bley military aspects as well as the wooden bay sections. Having buildings built around the trees is very interesting as is the having the buildings dwarf the tree in size. Great job making each part of the building a section so the whole MOC can be observed. Quote
Umbra-Manis Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 Way to go up when space is limited on the ground! The top of the tower with the ballista and lookout point is my favorite, but there are great details all the way down! Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted April 18, 2023 Author Posted April 18, 2023 Thanks all for the kind words! I'm definitely going to make more modules! Quote
