2023 Majisto GWP

I’m really excited about the GWP. I’m waiting on Eldorado Fortress until it comes out.

I also dislike stickers but I had to get the Blacktron Cruiser. It's an amazing set. You can buy the front part with print from Bricklink and replace it. For me it was very special to get the Blacktron Cruiser because I haven't experienced new Blacktron sets since the early 90's. In high school I spent countless hours drawing imaginary Space Police and Blacktron sets and dreaming about the return of Blacktron and Space Police but I had to settle for my own MOCs, therefore the Blacktron Cruiser is very special for me.

The spooky pirate island, maze, and other GWPs have leaked, so I expect this one to as well.

I'm a bit surprised this hasn't leaked yet, but there's still more than a month away.  Still plenty of time to be super hyped.

Most of the GWPs have leaked rather late towards their release. As soon as they are shiped to the stores we will see leakes obviously + there will be some certified stores advertising them. But I would actually think we might get more information soon. Right now we don´t even know for sure, which set it has, if there is a horse etc. Also we don´t have information about the required order value yet.

Very interesting!  Can't wait to see pics surface :D

I do wonder that if it is Dragon Masters, if the helms and dragon plumes will make a return.

Same, but unless LEGO plans to reuse them, I doubt that we will be getting any new moulds!

I sadly feel we will not see a remake of the DM faction, there are too much "new" pieces to produce (unless they plan to include it in larger future sets) in order to reboot it properly. 

10305 proved they could mix Majisto with Lions' Knights.

Although I would be satisfied with Lions' Knights only, I hope I'm wrong.

Well, for me that guy isn´t Majisto. It is just some blue wizard, but Majisto looks different. And I really hope we get a Majisto for the GWP and not another random blue Wizard.

We did see the forestmen introduced in Forest Hideout (40567) a few weeks before Lion Knights' Castle (10305). I have hope. Foolish hope.

It really comes down to whether the Dragon Masters appear in the village or not. I can see the shield being included in the shieldsmith’s shop, so that just leaves their torso and legs (they could just use black nasal helms instead of the more iconic dragon helmets). Maybe we finally get a generic armour/mail torso and legs that can be used for any faction (see scale mail Black Knights)?

I really like that plain blue. Minimalist and vintage, it embraces perfectly the classic vibes of the set.

But it is said that Majisto from the GWP will have a printed dress by the way.

Hmm, interesting point.

I can see them tossing in an extra soldier minifig to make up for the lack of a unique Dragon Knight for sure.  That would also keep it more in line with the upcoming Medieval Market Square which wouldn't need to appeal to a specific faction.

A print for a shield and a minifig is possible, however I do not believe the MTS has the budget or will to include at least 2 new moulds for the helmet If they do that instead of the goat I will be mad

Yes, but GWP do not have budget for new moulds, so then a set in production must take the bill..
Do anyone know when the dragon master helmet and plumes was last used, I guess there is little hope the moulds are useable still?

That was over ten years ago, so sadly no shot; the most that I expect is a brickbuilt halberd like the one from the blacksmith. 
I concur Re: the shield, though; I would be extremely disappointed if we get specifically a shieldsmith but no classic shields!

Was not the barding and some other parts also 10 years old brought back for the castle last year?

I was in the dark age when the Dragon Knights ruled so have no relationship with them, the Black Knights would be better for me if made a return (after all they introduced some of the great moulds the Dragon Knights are known for), but not likely in that set.

For the Vintage look, he would have needed his wand, not that staff, have normal legs and just his belt. Then it would have been Majisto.

Well then it is not Majisto either for me. But I hope the print is at least similar to what the original figure looked like. If they do it right, maybe it could still work out to be Majisto even with a skirt. But we will have to wait and see for that.

I don´t think it will have stars and such on it. I mean, that would even less look like Majisto than just that empty figure.

If they don't have the plumes and helmet they aren't Dragon Masters.

Black Knights can get away with it because they had regular plumes in their first 3 years of existence.

It's possible the helmet and plumes could be molded as one dual molded piece, that way they wouldn't need to make 4 different new parts.

Although that would make recolors harder.
