BillytheKid Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 (edited) When I saw first the picture of this station, I wanted it for mine 12v lay-out. I got one, YES , for normal bricklink price. Sold out after a few hours. After waiting for half year, the package came and I started to build. Only the platfrom was just 2 brick high. I want 3 brick high, which looks better to the 12v trains I have. Ordered bricks and this is result: Station done. Now the train, which doesn't fit into the grey 12v area. Modified the station, so why not the train itself too and make a nice set of it. I decided to use replace the 24 baseplate for an 28 one. Use 12v wheels with red pin inside. Add traindoors & -windows. Add a toilet, just behind the driver, so he can go fast when needed . Result of strikes lately . And costum made stickers DB (Deutsche Bundesbahn) with setnumber. Left is as from the set and right is modified one. Recognize the rare driver? Thx herr Stiendrucker . Rare pentograph and expensive . Looks good . With toiletpaper and sink. What you think? Good job or yeah whatever...........? Edited May 14, 2023 by BillytheKid Quote
Feuer Zug Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 I like your modifications to both the station and the train. They work well with 12v, even if they are a little more opulent than most of your display. Quote
XG BC Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 the train looks like an old train that was modernised. looks good! Quote
JopieK Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 Really nice! Looks good in 12V setting! I still haven't got time to build mine though. Quote
ivanlan9 Posted May 9, 2023 Posted May 9, 2023 Looks like you had a far better experience than I did. Good show! Those mods look very nice. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted May 9, 2023 Posted May 9, 2023 I hadn't even considered using this station on a 12 volt layout. Instead, I have to admit that the result is even better ... the 7740 is beautiful under that glass arch! Quote
BillytheKid Posted May 11, 2023 Author Posted May 11, 2023 The 2d wagon modified to mine idea . Now I'm proud to have this train parked at Studgate station. Alsways missing parts, like 1x3 black plates . Well, I hop I won't forget at next bricklink order. And just a reminder it's bought from bricklink site : Quote
Darkkostas25 Posted May 22, 2023 Posted May 22, 2023 Great modification on trains from the briklinkstation set! Quote
