Hello fellow Action and Adventure theme fans! I want to hear from you which of our many and varied themes housed here, are the Greatest Of All Time!

It is high time to refresh some graphics and while I will be unveiling a cool new look Logo soon, I greatly want to make a banner for this forum.

To spare everyone a toybox jumble of themes, I thought I would ask you all which theme you think is the best and I can create something fitting to match.

So, what say you?

Whilst I love things like Atlantis and monster fighters, Ninjago has such a greater breath and depth that it's the obvious greatest Action theme, but Johnny Thunder of course has to get his honourable mention.

Or be fresh and relevant with dreamzzz?

Hands down power miners. I love ninjago, and monkie kid, but power miners feels like a mainstay for "action and adventure" themes.

While Adventurers will always be THE action and adventure theme for me, it's hard to argue against Ninjago. Over a decade of sets, games, theme park rides, a long running TV show and even a theatrical movie make it the clear GOAT.

Totally agreed on Adventurers and Ninjago. I will also add Atlantis and Monster Fighters also deserve spots: the former for it's use of a TV mini-movie as a kind of proto-Ninjago, and the latter because it's iconic. (How can you say no to what is basically a unofficial Universal Monsters line?)

I think mixing them up would be fun. Ninjago and Adventurers, obviously, but also Power Miners, Atlantis, Chima, Monkie Kid, etc. Do something fun and creative with it.

I vote for The Adventurers and their companions Rock Raiders. 👍

I always enjoyed the Adventurers theme. The various locations they explored were mostly real and the sets were decent for the price point. Johnny Thunder FTW!

Definitely the adventurers series. it is simply timeless and has an enormously high recognition value, no matter what age group. by today's standards, the sets seem a bit "empty" but soooooo old school that it's just a joy. However... Ninjago must be in second place, the enormous period of time in which this topic has established itself and alone the soon to be four modulars. Incredibly great. Monkie kid is great too.

Of course, we all know that after Adventurers the best action-adventure theme of all time is Time Cruisers!

(The reveal of the Ninjago City Markets this morning got me thinking how amazing a 32x64 modular-adjacent set in the 4000-6000 part class with a tiled water base would be, if it was the MYSTIC MOUNTAIN TIME LAB!)

I'll cast my lonely vote for Nexo Knights!  But I hafta allow that Adventurers would be a more appropriate choice, if we can only pick one.  I mean, the Adventure name is right there in the forum title!

Egyptian style adventurers are the thing that basicly started it all.

But if it has to be something more relevant to current times, Ninjago definately is the longest running, and getting 4 "Ninjago City" sets and a Movie isn't something that can be easily ignored either.

And I'm saying that as a huge Nexo fan , a theme that did bring back interest in LEGO back for me in 2016 , since 2001.

Ninjago has to be recognized as the king of action themes, for being the longest-lived, but my personal nomination is... Aquazone! You can say that's because of the very specific time I grew up; that's fine. I'll admit I am in a small age-cohort of Aquazone fans. But that doesn't make me any less of an Aquazone fan!
