The squared wings looks bad though and something they copied off another Ideas entry:
https://ideas.lego.com/projects/e4fe7a39-43f2-4c01-8fd3-ec85ff191e5d
instead of looking at the one that achieved the 10.000 votes but was rejected less then a year ago with the explanation: "Our team has thoroughly considered the possibility of releasing this project as a LEGO set according to the criteria of the LEGO Review. Unfortunately, the LEGO Review Board has decided that we will not produce this project as a set. Thank you to Orbiter88 [...] We’re sorry to deliver this disappointing news."

Do you have proof that LEGO copied from this IDEAS submission, and that it is not just coincidence that they were developing their own Concorde design.

Since all the other Concorde submissions on Ideas used plate stacking or other techniques I took that one as a reference because it uses the same flat slope bricks. Of course LEGO will say they developed the model in parallel, but it's not the first time they make a set after seeing there is high interest on Ideas for a specific model (e.g. Fiat 500).

I recently bought the Cobi version, but I'm sure the Lego version will be far superior. I probably can't afford to buy it this fall though. Maybe in a couple of years when it's about to retire.

I too bought the Cobi version before seeing LEGO was releasing their own. The Cobi one is okay but nowhere near as detailed as this.

Based on the photos from Reddit, looks like rotating the tail cone will lower the Landing Gear and drop the Nose. Pretty ingenious solution if true. Can't wait to get it in my hands!

I really like this model and I look forward to displaying it in my office. I’m pleasantly surprised it is £169.99 in the UK I had presumed it was going to be £199.99. Hopefully Lego have realised most people have less disposable income and they are not going to be able to spend hundreds of pounds per Lego set for the foreseeable future. The Concorde should sell well and a lot of people will want one as a gift at Christmas.

Pretty close but not quite there. The biggest deviation is at the tail wing and the nose of course.

Unfortunately the plane is too big for my current display :( If I bought it I would use custom stickers to put in in a BA livery...

Ordinarily I should be all over this set like a rash. Fortunate enough to have been on the old girl. It was even a nice surprise as I’d forgotten all about it and only just back from a month’s holiday to an email from LEGO VIP saying it’s immediately available.

But, I don’t know, there’s just something not quite right about it. Maybe it’s the exquisite iconic shape of the fuselage and delta wing that is slightly off. Or the somewhat blocky and gappy area around the nose cone. Admittedly it’s not easy to capture.

Then there’s the big fail…the missing livery, either BA and/or AF. Having generic Airbus detracts hugely from the overall impression. Like not having NASA on the Shuttle, it’s just wrong. No doubt there’ll be stickers or decals made available soon within the MOC community but TLG have missed a trick not licensing either/both airlines here.

I'd really like to get this but I still haven't figured out how I will display it.

It it was me, I’d wall mount it vertically or banking, like the Shuttle. There will be 3D printed options soon enough.

Wow, the Concorde set is fantastic. Best set of the year for me (beating out the Land Rover Defender and Peugeot 9x8 Hypercar). It's certainly big, but not really any bigger than I was expecting it to be based on pictures. The functionality is superb, but what really impresses with this set is just how solid and sturdy the build is despite its long and thin needle-like shape. It really is a masterclass in design and building techniques. More like this please, Lego.

I feel this set is not getting enough love. Got it for Xmas, built a bag a day, really enjoying playing with the functions, v doing some minor destudification.

It is a thing of beauty (like the real plane), how well it keeps it keeps its shape despite the size. I really appreciate how the stand allows it to be posed in 4 different profiles.
